Meh... still gonna catch the first episode though
'Supergirl' First Look Trailer
When I heard this show was going the feminist route from the writers I was worried, then I saw the first 5 sec and boy was I wrong-- oh and then I saw the rest.....and then that plane scene O.O man this show will be a roller coaster for me, and not in a good way.

@the_stegman: same here, looks like fun. Someone DC really needs these days.
FLash is also fun

Hmm, my comment didn't go through for some reason, oh well I'll just re-create it:
..............
THIS LOOKS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This looks perfect, it's bright, it's heroic, and most importantly of all it's fearless, it's not afraid to be what it is and I love that. I cannot wait to watch.
Somewhere, Mark Waid just fainted from excitement :)
@madeinbangladesh: yes it is, and I'm a big fan. I was very pleased to see this is the tone for Supergirl too. I have seen enough ten minutes fights dripping in blood for awhile. Let's have some fun.
Looks really lame. Kinda reminds of of that SNL Black Widow trailer spoof from a couple weeks back.
someone follows superhero feed on twitter.
I'll check it out. I didn't like the trailer. I wish they surprise me for once. Instead of having a awkward -she teenager girl, have a arrogant, sure of herself teen
the problem with that is that arrogant teenagers are usually pricks that no one like to follow. Who wants to watch a show with a jerk lead?
@g_man: do you think this would fit in with the cw universe? In terms of how it feels
So Superman does exist in this so there is absolutely no possible way that it can be connected to the Arrowverse then
@joaoanjos: No it is not going to be in the Flash & Arrow verse, as Supergirl is not made by CW.
@currentthor2015: cbs owns the cw with the wb.
..... It took the CW 10 seasons (over half of which were painstakingly repetative and which only worked due to the guest cameos) of Smallville to finally make superman fly...... Supergirl achives this in the first episode... i'm giving points to this series based on that alone (plus its a plane rescue, one of the few scenes which even superman returns couldn't fail at making). It's got that network tv look to it, and part of me does wish that it was taking place in the CW dc universe but i'll give it a watch. plus its nice to see a costume from the house of el which i can actually, you know, dicerne the colours from :P
THIS LOOOOOOKS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@joaoanjos: No it is not going to be in the Flash & Arrow verse, as Supergirl is not made by CW.
If Supergirl did exist in that verse she must pass the right of passage by having Oliver Queen beat her so she knows non powered people are just as special.
Ugly Betty + Smallvile = Supergirl
Really not buying it.
@currentthor2015: cbs owns the cw with the wb.
and Greg Berlanti is the executive producer of Arrow and Flash and is executive producer on this as well
Meh. Didn't impress me much. Doubt I'll watch it when it airs, but I might give it a chance depending on what I hear about it.
I'll wait and see. Hopefully they avoid the unrequited love cliche that superheroines tend to get saddle with.
It still really bothers me that Supergirl is an adult. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Kryptonian Supergirl was never an adult in the comics (only Matrix was). To me, Supergirl should always be a teenager because Power Girl becomes redundant (though DC hates Power Girl anyway with giving her name to some random black girl)
@currentthor2015: cbs owns the cw with the wb.
Even so Supergirl's verse seems far different from theirs. In Supergirl Superman is a well established hero. In Arrow or Flash such a powerhouse would have been mentioned but in Supergirl everyone knows he is a thing and has good knowledge on him and his look. They may be owned by the same company but I seriously doubt Supergirl will be dropping in to see Oliver or Barry.
way better than i expected but that's not really saying much. costume is still ugly. the tone of the show looks really bad. the liberties with the source material just make me not care about the production...
DC just keeps trying to make everything "edgy" and alienates their audience in the process instead of finding one. production values look on the cheap side too.
it's giving off an WonderWoman TV pilot vibe and it'll probably have supergirl eating icecream in front of a TV crying over a boy at some point too.
we'll see though. def give it a chance.
I'll give it a chance.
It doesn't look terrible, but it definitely has that CW-esque cheesiness. It's got network TV written all over it.
I'm willing to give it a chance.
These.
@kantrip: The CW has better production values than this, even back when it was the WB.
Looks terrible. Another cheesy CW knockoff. DC needs to chill with all these tv shows. Flash and Constantine are the only ones that are good.
Okay, what the hell? Yeah, Jimmy is a hot black dude, and that's totally fine to take the character in a different direction. But then they add and awkward white dude that works at the paper that is EXACTLY LIKE COMICS JIMMY!!! Make up your damn mind!!!!
Other than that, if I can guilty pleasure Gotham, I'm sure I'll be able to get into this.
PS. Outstanding member of the CBS Family, Vinny Caravella, needs to have a cameo somewhere.
@titanbreaker: amell was trying to be on Constantine he'd try to be on this.
