'Suicide Squad' SDCC Trailer Officially Released

At Comic-Con this weekend in Hall H, the first trailer to Suicide Squad was shown. Warner Bros has now officially released the trailer. Hopefully you didn't try watching some horrid phone video recording of the trailer.

Suicide Squad is directed by David Ayer and opens in theaters on August 5, 2016.

Wow, this looks really good. I find it interesting that the trailer felt like it was showcasing the characters and not the villains. So excited.

I will look into this later.

Wow, DC is killing it, I'm very excited for this movie, 2016 is shaping up to be an amazing CBM year in general. Interesting side note I think this is the first time we've heard Superman, refered to as 'Superman' on camera.

Am I the only one excited to see how Killer Croc turns out on the big screen?

Like I said before, cautiously optimistic. Anyone hear any rumblings about the plot? I have no idea what the story is supposed to be.

wow dc is on fire right now this and batmen v supes...nobody is talking about marvel right now .......no wonder they skipped SDCC ,,,they got nothing to compete with these trailers better to stay quiet and stay outta the way and let DC have its shine till marvel gets they're new movie trailers ready probably at NYCC

@maccyd: I seem to remember her about to say it in the interigation room but then the PA system came on and interrupted her. Although I could be wrong, I haven't seen MOS in awhile.

Love the transition from Harley's "Hah?" to the Joker's " HaHaHa"

Once again, the Joker's laugh is totally off key and Jared Leto looks more like a Joker wannabe from Batman Beyond than the real Joker. Viola Davis' haircut for Amanda Waller is way too butch. She should have gone with that New 52 look. I'm a little worried because Joker's initial monologue in this trailer is weak.

Like the BvS trailer, better than I expected. But I'm not completely sold yet. I still don't like the design decisions, but hopefully characterization will be strong enough that I forget about that while watching.

That trailer was love. Harley is gonna steal the show. I'm super amped for this one.

Glad to see that they will integrate Deadshot's family into it and not have him be a psychopath. I liked Leto's joker voice but I cannot yet get used to him being all tatted up w/ gold teeth.

Considering how this movie has not been in production that long, it makes me start to wonder if they shot this trailer then started working on the rest of the movie.

I like the concept, but this is coming way too soon. They should establish these characters as villains in other movies, then do Suicide Squad. With this, you're starting them out as anti-heroes being forced by the government.I don't see how you can use them as villains after this in other movies.

This also strikes me as a terrible introduction of the new Joker. Still not loving all those tattoos and the capped teeth.

Was going to make a comment about this. It's an element of the character that was explored in his mini series that writers often forget about. I'm happy to see it here.

Dig it more than BvS

A soldier in Man of Steel refers to him as "Superman" to General Sanwick, who gives the soldier a skeptical look. The soldier then explains sheepishly "that's what they're calling him."

Lois earlier was about to say it, but Dr. Hamilton interrupts with the interrogation room's intercom.

Amanda Waller is so cool. I already like this version more than the Arrow one.

Not liking Smith as Deadshot. Harley still looks like a reject from Hot Topic and Joker still looks like Lil Wayne and Marilyn Manson.

As a DC fanboy I expect the best of the best from the selection of directors and screenwriters and apparently we don't have lots of those for the DCCU. The MCU is still boss, so let's be cautiously optimistic about this please.

Which is pretty much my main concern with this movie. Floyd developed as a character in the pages of Suicide Squad. I fear Deadshot will be relegated to cliche one liners like "Aww, hell naw" and "Wooo!" in this movie.

Same here, if they somehow manage to create a Deadshot that is like the one we saw in the animated movie, we are in for something reaaally good
