I thought what Garfield said was meant as a joke or just a what if type of situation there is no backing to this it's not going to happen so there is no reason to get bent out of shape about it.

On this topic I understand why some would be upset. My only issue when things of this nature come up is the idea that we need to change a character that has had no previous tendencies that would hint he was gay. I guess my biggest issue with how comics and media is now is there is a certain laziness to it. Instead of making a quality gay character that can stand the test of time they just want to change a long standing character and it's a lose lose situation.

Garfield is a retard! Pretty ignorant also to suggest sensationalist changes to a character he is portraying. I'm not watching the sequel now or any Garfield film.
