Ruby loaded the students into the plane, while the staff made sure they were all properly strapped down. "Alright, guys we leave in 5 minutes" She called out, before going to meet the Assistant Headmistress at the end of the plane. "Norfleet, we need to make sure the other classes are gainfully involved, no one is to come on the grounds while we're gone. No one is to leave." She said nodding toward her right hand assistance. "Copy that ma'am" As the plane picked up to take off Ruby moved back in position to brief the children on the new developments.
"Alright listen up. New York City has been evacuated, because of it our suspect has been flushed out. We just picked up a murder, meeting the same MO in Philadelphia, Pa." The thrusters kick in on the plane sending them searing across the Connecticut skies. "The victim is 15 year old male, same MO his remains were found by his human mother this morning. She's agreed to let us check out his room."
Ruby noticed early on the influx of people flooding the nearby city, whatever was happening in New York was serious enough to bring hordes and hordes of newer people into the city. After landing at the pad, Ruby led the small group via escort of the police to the victims home. "Remember guys...this woman just lost her son, be respectful." Moving through the threshold, Ruby instantly noticed two stands of blood splattered across the floor. What something like claws marks along the windows, and the still dehydrated corpse lying face up under a sheet on the floor. "Alright, you guys are looking for clues. Blood, any sign of struggle, but most importantly we're looking for some sort of pattern. Something that's the same from this murder compared to the others. I'm going to speak with the mother of the victim."
Pushing through the house Ruby found Ms. Holmes surrounded by a horde of human investigators. One of the first things she noticed was the woman was injured. Perhaps she had some involvement in the scuffle. She looked a bit unhinged, as anyone in her current situation would. "Ms. Holmes, I read in the report that says you weren't home when the attack occurred. May I ask how you received that cut on your arm?"
"I don't remember..." She said, seemingly shivering. There was an odd atmosphere surrounding this woman, how could a woman that had nothing to do with the scuffle be injured in the scuffle?
"I need you to think, Think Really Really Hard" Ruby continued, trying to get to the bottom of this mystery.
"If any of you guys have the ability to read energy signatures, I need a full sweep of this room."
Interim Headmistress Norfleet sat in Ruby's office feeling as if her breast were changing. "This is kind of weird" She said, maneuvering her shoulders in curiosity. As she did Barnes opened the door and the two former STRIKE admins shared an awkward silence. "Ok...there Pamela Anderson, Ruby asked you to get these classes involved. Do I have the go to begin the Iceland BFT.?"
"Uh, Um. Yeah sure fat back" not her best clap-back, but good enough to get him out the office. Just as she prepared to address the class, another one of the admins entered and informed her of a foreign energy spike located on the outside of the school. "What is it?"
"We're picking up signatures that are similar with the energy readings Ruby found in New York and Philadelphia..."
"Frick!" Norfleet screamed, getting on the PA System; she had to close down the school on the first day! "Students of all Classes please make your way to the gymnasium, the school is now on lockdown, no one is permitted to enter. No one is permitted to leave Please make your way to the Gymnasium in an orderly fashion.
