Weakness?

What counts as a weakness?

......I'm lost.

well, I know what a weakness is, but, why is he askin "What counts as a weakness?"

Ok so I am told "Always being Invisible" doesn't count but if I just put "Normal" its fine. So my character right now has "Weakness: Always Invisible / Normal Body". Do these count as acutal weakness?

Anything that you don't have a resistance to. Mine's holy weapons.

Fire

Ice

Silver

Magic

The Sun

Wooden Stakes

Kryptonite

Water

Telepathic attacks

There's alot more but you get thee idea.

Nice, I'm not that creative, thats why I put "human weaknesses"

Example: Magic, Krptonite, women, big words, food, math, etc.

There real weakness. I dont think in a rpg battle, always being invisible counts as a weakness.

A weakness shouldn't give you an advantage, otherwise its not much of a weakness now is it.

I am serious about this weakness bit. What makes a character's weakness's ok? Cause apparnetly it seems I ma breaking some major rule with the way my character is.

yeah. Now I remember I was battling Copycat and created and illusion of a beautiful woman.

Well, maybe you should think more about your weaknesses. Maybe Dust, sand, anything that can be used to show where you are? Or his shadow is always visible, eve when he isn't.

That'd be something I could use against him.

No, I'm not saying that. I'm saying that, if it was for real a battle between Nobody and The Mantid, I would have no chance. If you have a shadow, that means you don't have to change anything in you're profile. Thats enough for me to put up a decent fight.

This is what I don't get. I mean don't get me wrong I get what you are saying clearly Gambler. Don't get me wrong. But the way I see it is that becuase some people would be unable to see me or find me my character is too powerful. So I should create a weakness so all players have something to use against me. Am I correct? Cause some guy who list his weakness as Kryponite and Magic seems a little bit hard of a weakness to get than mine. Don't you think?

Right nobody mainly people have 4 weakness, these have to weaknesses i battle, like magic or light something like that, when you say all ways being invisable is a weakness in most cases its not but to your charecter it is so id leave it in, Spectrum could see your charecter as he could sense your heat and ither energy forms. id just keave it and say, people more powerfull then me, that what i did on mine

I don't know. I think I may just drop from the rpg. I don't see the point of having to change my character cause someone else isn't able to use one of his weakness. I have mention various ways of detection for him and if you can't use one I see that as all well. If I list kryptionite would I be expected to give you some before we fight? No. I am done.

Don't leave the RPG, a shadow could help a person detect you, that'd be enough for me. Besides, we are just in mid-battle.

No thats what I've been saying. In a story rpg its perfect, nothing wrong with it at all, but in a battle being invisible is NOT a weakness.

Don't do that. Spectrum has a point. If anyone like burns you, the can see the burn, or if you bleed, they can see the blood. If someone sticks tap on you and you didn't notice, then they can see a floating piece of tape.

I don't get "Women" being a weakness, and I've seen it more often than not.

When one puts "Women" (or some similar epithet) on their weakness list does that mean that they are vulnerable to any attack any female might make against them?

It's mostly a joke but it means that they are vulnerable (or at least my character) to female beauty. I take the women weakness very seriously.

I get that, and apparently you and almost every other guy on this site shares it. Seriously, I think it ceases to be unique weakness if most everyone has it.

Given that I'm playing a Satyr and mythologically speaking, Satyrs are known to be... rather randy when it comes to maidens. So question everyone and their cousin having women as a "Weakness".

I may have exaggerated slightly.

I know it does get a little cheesy after a while I've considered removing it but due to what I want my characters personality to be I keep it. My character is meant to be an Alien warrior with a big ego who thinks he's awesome, thinks he's God's gift to everyone, and is an all around ass.
