She had to kill Ashley, though it was done out of mercy; she still felt guilty. Had she'd gone with the sound bender to Moldova, she would've been able to help. Though how even alluded her.
On top of the death of an ally, she was still reeling from the news Selebrity Legal dropped on her. Someone knew she killed Mari's adoptive parents, and though she had good reason to the public wouldn't see it that way. Mari, that little shit. After everything she did for her, the teen disobeyed her commands and ventured into the Multiverse with the newly elected Governor of California, Samson Starr. In due time she'd deal with them both.
At the forefront of her mind was locating and stopping Ada, the presumed leader of the Order of Malta, and the architects of what the media dubbed the 'Sapien flu.' The worse hit place was Moldova, where the disease was created; Daytonville had suspected cases; now it appeared the virus spread to the United States.
South Africa, Grimm City, Valor City, Moldova, and now potentially the U.S and Daytonville all felt the impact of Ada's murderous intentions. Still few people knew who she was--fewer people knew what she looked like.
"Maya," Cat called out, having scaled dimensions to teleport into her sister's domain. She didn't get an answer, which admittedly pissed her off. In the years following the death of their mother and the subsequent absence of their father, Maya's descent into total godship removed her from the table of heroism. She was absent in the battle of New York, absent through most of Cat's war with Zeon, and just absent as a sister.
Cat wandered about the otherworldly locale until she found Maya fully immersed in her abilities, probably watching some sort of cosmic porn. Not really, but that's totally what she would've done if blessed with those abilities.
"Your abilities have grown stronger. Impressive that you managed to get in this place" The younger sister called out, not carrying to give Cat her full attention.
"Yeah, it's almost like you're trying to keep me out. I need your help. I'm looking for Ada Guillaume, she's supposedly the leader of the Order of Malta. She's unleashed a virus that's spreading to Pandemic Levels, I'd find her myself but her powers were..."
Given to her by the Mind Lavaliere. I am aware of the virus Cat. There's an entire universe currently being effected by it. In a couple of days the strain will mutate. Pretty scary stuff.
Cat's lashes fluttered over her cinnamon tinted eyes, she was initially astonished by Maya's foresight followed by confusion. "Wait you know? why aren't you trying to stop it"
Earth has heroes for a reason. It's not my place to interfere.
Cat scoffed before realizing Maya was serious, the confusion swiftly transitioned to anger. "And you're just going to sit here watching cosmic porn all day?"
First and Foremost you need to understand. You're the most wanted woman in the multiverse! Not only are you responsible for bringing Maya Summers, and the Great Calamity over to this universe, but you taught Samson Starr how to access it.
Cat scoffed again, was she missing the point? No, she understood Maya was intelligent as hell. Stupid as shit, but also intelligent--It was complicated.
"Maya, I don't give a shit about the multiverse. How many times have we been minding our forking business and then some sort of wormhole opens in the sky? Now, you wanna put on a badge and play Sherrif you raggedy piece of shit! I would destroy every last one of those universes to ensure ours survive." Cat could feel herself getting hostile, but Maya remained calm she hadn't looked in Cat's direction.

Cat's face immediately scrunched in confusion, the insult was true, but the person making it had the forking audacity.
"BITCH! you're in school NOW So cut the shit. You seem to forget you were born here, I was born here, You Dad was born here, Your sisters were born here. YOUR MOTHER was BORN HERE! "
Cat's Iberian accent arrived in full force, that coupled with her tendency to be animated when arguing finally attracted the attention of Maya.
Cat, I was born a Goddess. I didn't inherit my powers from a deceased deity. I was physically created this way. You have what maybe a good 80 years of life left, if you aren't killed before then. I will be here long after you expire. I told you multiple times, I experience time differently. You'll be dust, but to me we'll be having this same conversation. So why should I care when in essence, I'm not going to lose any of you? If I were you, I'd settle down get married enjoy the short time I have left, and pray my daughter doesn't put me in a nursing home."
She wasn't entirely sure which insult made her do it, Maya not caring or the nursing home bit, but the fully enraged Catalina unleashed a TK push that slammed directly into Maya's negation shield. Maya fixed her mouth to warn Cat, but she fell into the tactic. Maya couldn't be struck if she wasn't paying attention, Cat's blast served the purpose of gaining her full attention. The Hybrid Goddess turned around just in time to be punched across the face by her older sister.
I'm going to make you regret that"
Maya's crimson mystic force erupt through her body before firing a fatal blast toward Cat. Unable to dodge the sheer size of the blast Cat ducked under her summoned raxius shield. The explosion shook the foundation of Other Rim, however much to the chagrin of the Crimson Cardinal, when the dust subsided Catalina's head rose over the shield showing she'd weathered the cosmic onslaught of her younger sister.
"You didn't actually think mom would give birth to a child she couldn't defend herself against did you?" Cat called out motioning to the Raxius shield, a shield that once belong to their mother. It protected Cat from attacks of a magical nature, as it related to these two; that removed a great portion of Maya's powerset.
"Fine"
Lunging into the air Maya altered the probability around them, in order to alter the efficiency of Cat's attacks landing, though she was sure the shield wasn't affected. Opening a portal the Scarlet Sorceress reigned down meteors into her domain.
"Ahhh shit" Cat lamented as she began running as fast as her natural body would allow (Which isn't very fast) The meteors plowed into the ground littering the local setting with charred soil. Maya immediatly continued on the offensive however, when she landed there was no sign of Cat.
Teleportation...
She'd forgotten how cunning Cat could be, In terms of outright power Catalina was dwarfed by what Maya could do, but Maya wasn't a bare-knuckle fighter; and with half her move-set obsolete Catalina could deal a great deal of damage in base form.
WHAM!
Straight out of teleportation Cat's shield slam into Maya's head sending the Goddess unceremoniously to the charred ground. Cat landed just a couple of paces off, the two of them needed this. They'd both been on different sides of their parental favors. Catalina was a "daddies girl", Maya (Before she lost her humanity) a "mommies girl" both saw themselves as competition, but it was a rivalry that never came to fruition until now. 'Holy shit, I'm winning' Cat thought which proved to be a detriment as Maya fired a TK push which sent Cat's body skipping across the surface before rolling to a stop.
Cat, stay down.
Maya said with an instant headache trying to regain her equilibrium, but as she stood there vulnerable, she failed to account for Cat's teleportation. Catalina ported right in front of her and sent her Black Rose Blade plowing into the stomach of her younger sister.
C-Cat? Cat?!
Maya screamed out in shock that she'd been impaled by Cat. The two sisters locked eyes, Maya convulsing in agony, she tried to use her ability to heal, but Cat's mental intrusion prevented the brain message from being sent.
"I didn't want to do this. I just wanted to know where Ada was." She said gently lowering her dying sister to the ground placing both hands neatly across her chest while sitting next to her.
"I've always loved you, but I hate what you've become. You will live forever, but not this version. That perfect little girl living with Dad, she will do right by you. Our Universe doesn't need anymore malevolent Goddess'
Cat quickly scoured Maya's mind to gain Ada's current location, before placing a quaint kiss on her sister's forehead. "I'll see you soon" She said before disappearing from Other Rim.
