In the heart of the Metropolis, there rises a 30 storied building, not particularly taller than some of its competitors but it sits in a piece of real estate owned by itself, and this one sets itself apart by the bizarre infrastructural design that decorates its upper portion. Its made of a pure dark color or has been painted pure black, a shade darker than black, one that absorbs light almost completely. And on top of it spins a globe, or perhaps it is a hologram but it gives the feeling of grandeur and mystery.
The state affords certain amenities to heroes, including but not limited to merchandise copyrights, movie and comic book rights, and apparatuses within which to legally sell their image whereby earning income. In return, the state only imposes a tax return on the heroes. It's good business.
This building is the home of the veteran hero M'lud. It is also his headquarters and home to hundreds of staff and dozens of other heroes that operate in and around the state. That's correct. Thread of Justice is perhaps THE most successful hero organization in the world.
M'lud might have started without a penny in his pocket but he certainly made the right choices, incentivized policy reforms and inspired a generation of youngsters and he now leads a brand name that makes billions of dollars.
And yet, the head of this hero organization can be found patrolling the slums of New York city with the same vigor of a youth of 16 when he started being a hero.
