✹The Creation

A divine result of the new-found companionship of Darkevius Halliwell and Orion Savage, θεία Αιθήρ (roughly translating to 'Divine Aether') is a haven city for all New Gods. After unknown events led to the emergence of thousands of New Gods, many found themselves ostracized or feared in their own homes. Those looking to escape persecution for their new-found abilities, or simply seeking a new place to live among similar beings flocked here. In this city, the gods are free to live in harmony as they watch the mortals below in amusement. Though it is seemingly resting upon clouds, there are bodies of water flowing near or around it in some areas, and the sky is known to fluctuate in color.

✹The Separation

To deities or ancient beings of any sort, the city is located above the clouds in any area within Greece. Though for mortals it cannot be found through the same means. A key part of the reason it exists is so gods can live in peace. Away from mankind which has often displayed xenophobic tendencies. Thus, Orion and his companion split the fabric of reality encompassing the city, breaking away from our own and putting it into a pocket-dimension of its own. That's not to say it's impossible for a mortal to enter it, nothing in this universe is. Only, these methods would vary from person to person. Perhaps one may notice a key with their symbol (✹), and feeling a mysterious energy calling to them, they try to open a door with it. This is one of the many ways the gods above may beckon towards mortals.

✹ The City

Rather than an illustrious city of gold, the pair of god's opted for an aesthetic blending that of the ancient Greeks and modern times. The Greeks, in their architecture valued endurance and unity with the environment. They were primarily characterized by the use of a column (the shaft) and a capital, which the column supports. The usage of columns is central in the Divine Aether, and these are often ornamented or sometimes made to resemble important beings. Where Greek architecture was made with the intent of withstanding earthquakes, Aetherian buildings were made to withstand gods. A fight between gods on earth would be liable to decimate cities or worse. Here, the divine materials used to construct the city are so strong that a fight between two gods would be no worse than a fight between two unarmed humans in a regular city.

Likewise, as Orion did not want to bore the people (most of whom were previously human): all things that were accessible and able to be done in a regular city are there in θεία Αιθήρ. This includes their own version of the internet, libraries, recreational areas and more.

✹The Grand Observatory

While gods in the upper echelons of power can simply peer through the clouds below to see and interact with mortals, many cannot. The Grand Observatory features dozens of enchanted devices allowing any god to see any spot (that isn't protected from such) on earth, and interact with mortals in ways that would allow them to do something such as give them a key to the city, or bless them through their divinity. These devices and telescopes also enable them to look not only upon the universe, but upon other dimensions and parts of the multiverse. Allowing those that either were astronomers or simply enjoyed watching the universe to continue doing so and continuing their studies.

✹ The Gods/Defenses

Simply put, they are their own defenses. Their newly found divinity has caused most New Gods to ascend to legendary levels of power, has blessed them with a new power or ability, or both. Many New Gods would be capable of cracking a continent in half, or affecting entire celestial bodies physically. Others are capable of manipulating vast amounts of energy, or warping reality itself. To attack an entire city of Gods is to commit folly of the highest order.

Rules

• If you're a character with a great level of power or reality warping, you can come here without the need for specialized means.
• If you're not, then you can simply make up a reason for your mortal character to have found a way here.
• I don't like when someone must ask to attack some place, so if you want to attack here, go ahead.
• But do not cause major destruction unless it happens during an event. I don't want someone simply waltzing in here and blowing everything up without me having a chance to defend.
• It should go without saying, but have fun!

Antonio always searched for other dimensions, especially connected to this one. Today, he discovered something new. A dimension with beings above Greece. Beings who appeared to be powered. He hadn't seen it before, but perhaps that's because he wasn't looking in the right places. Or because his tech wasn't good enough yet.

'It's the New Gods isn't it?" He said to himself looking at his sensors. "I doubt mutants ot metas would manage something like this. Of course it might be some alien or older species."

Being another dimension, but also connected to this world, Owl intended on teleporting to Greece and then dimensionally teleporting into this strange area. Much like ancient Greece in fact. Although Antonio

The first was easy, his coordinates quickly planned and a supercomputer already calculating the dimensional shift to ✹ θεία Αιθήρ✹. He quickly had his Owl themed costume on and his special lenses covering his eyes.

In one moment he teleported to Greece by a click on an electronic gauntlet, and in a second he vanished again to reappear with his back to a marble pillar in a strange floating land similar to ancient Greece. He hadn't ever technically lived in ancient Greece, but that didn't mean he hadn't had a few trips there.

His sensors quickly detected the truth, gods. In a way that is. Many ngods roamed this place. He, despite being an immortal and shapeshifter, had no intent on being seen as an outsider and as likely a human. So, for safety, he removed his mask. Instead his face become ever so slightly more owllike, but still enough to pass as human looking. Of course his eyes didn't hide that they were of an owl. Huge and powerful things.

Now was the plan, to find out just what this place was. To observe it. And, if it turned out to be a non hostile, he considered spending time there to see what else he might discover.

Renown, respect, fear, etc. ICly, Amarth wants to take over the palace, but IC intents don't necessarily have to match up with OOC predicaments (hence, the RPG wasn't an empire claim where territory changes hands, similarly though it might be). If the nGods do win the RPG... I actually have no idea what'd happen, lol.

The New God of Radiation descended from the sky, noticing the traveler with interest. "Hello there." His greeting was friendly but curious in tone.

Owl nodded to him eyeing him and cocking his head, "Greetings," He replied, "This place is interesting, is it not?" He added. His voice was not his usual one, just in case. But it sounded natural.

"It is." Orion smiled proudly, watching a New God couple holding hands below, a life brewing inside one of them. "I've created a place where we can live happily. Without the trouble mortals tend to bring."

"Mortals, petty and fragile." He said more to himself than to Orion as he watched where his gaze led, "Although, they are not always petty. And immortals are not always peacful and without war. Many gods have died at each others hands."

I've two NGods Raven, who's lesser used cause her personality can be hard to get a thumb on. That's the one that you couldn't remember, and this one. Awesome job on this by the way and I'll likely have a post in the near future

Ascension past the clouds and into the heavens thunder rumbled as the sound of a goddess passing from one dimension to the next. It was less refined then most however, while not blatantly out for destruction Casca also wasn't out for control or understanding. To her the only thing she wanted was combat, her place in the modern pantheon was to feel the rush that came from aiding the world at large and conflict that came from it. She made no illusion either about her apearence it had parallels to others that had been active before and she was fine with that.

Casca had been a vigilante of the most mundane sort in a time when costumes alone did the work. She was purely human who just enjoyed fighting, but pregnancy and a hope for more in life led to a simpler life. Or as simple as one could be for a cop in Gothic. However once the influence of divinity came into her veins she found she couldn't hold back the lust for violence she felt now with a vigor unlike ever before. Her mood somewhat soured now when not engaged in her favorite past time, a change not necessarily wanted but inescapable. She vanished from home as she often did trusting her son to be fine.

Entering the Aether was like stepping into a dream, modeled after one of the most enchanting cities of the world and influenced by divine creativity. Gazing upon the kingdom was an act that filled the eyes with an artistry rivaled by any God but made by mortal men. To Casca, she wasn't necessarily a god or in the pressence of them. Rather humanity had climbed to that level and this was the ultimate act of dethroning the religious reign upon the world. However wether God or man came first the species despite power was always fickle. Somewhere in the new heavens were people who were not just who's motives were tainted. And while Casca may have been as beautiful as the others and new to her powers like them. Her drive was more solidified if they were going to better the world unlike the mythological figures of old then the weeds needed to be sorted out.
