The Order of Iullius

A growing mercenary force under the command of Iullius the Demigod and Valeria of Shadows. For a force created by a man from over two thousands years ago, they have a pretty clear, but regulated, contract which has been translated into multiple languages. Among these are the following rules:

-Under no condition will the Order of Iullius preform assassinations without permission of Iullius.

-The moment the Order enters under cooperation of any force with existing enemies, negotiations are necessary to ensue with those enemies. These must be handled by Iullius or a chosen representative of Iullius. Non cooperation of the client will result in termination of the contract. If negotiations are refused, contract may continue.

-The Order will only participate in pre-approved or high emergency assaults. And will not actively commence battles outside the pre-set areas unless otherwise agreed upon.

-The Order will accept white flags, dangerously injured, and other surrenders, if the clients forces do not do so as well, the contract will be terminated. If an individual takes advantage of this rule, the Order considers them forfeit of it in the future and will pay to have them captured or killed within reason. Conditions must be met.

-The Order will not interfere with politics. But as politics are deemed directly in relation to combat, they will first be taken into account. Methods of government such as democracy vs dictatorship do not alter the Order’s view, only the treatment of the subjects or citizens.

-Deceiving the Order, or attempting to use it for un-agreed upon means, will result in termination of the contract, and will require compensation.

-The Order may defend locations they are paid to, so long as the following conditions are met:

•All non-combat killings will be run by the Order before being enacted.

•Those not directly involved in combat or sabotage will not be harmed. Commanders are considered active participants in combat, and are not protected by this rule. No executions under the age of 18 will be permitted.

•Counter-offensive measures cannot occupy enemy territory except during the operation and must depart afterwards.

More information of The Order:

The Order is still a relatively small organization and mostly sticks to only a few locations, with exception of select crews deemed skilled enough to be sent on more dangerous individual settings, rather then as a part of the full army. However, as Iullius often actively partakes in battles it is hired for, especially since he is often required to agree upon offensive actions and not just defensive ones, it is not exactly an in-effective one. It is important though to understand that the majority of the forces are not like Iullius. While the Order expects its members to be very skilled in their trade, it does not (presently) grant them any technology other organizations like it don’t have. It is mostly by Iullius’s presence and tendency to gain support of his allies that they are dangerous. While Iullius does utilize melee weaponry most of the time, his soldiers do in fact employ very much modern devices.

He intends to use the order primarily as a growing force. A preparation for getting stuff done, while also gaining attention enough that when he creates New Olympus, he will be able to actually grow it

OOC:

I am aware this is small and not that impressive. The point is that it isn't actually that powerful on its own and would be seen as a rather common mercenary force if it weren't for who it was founded by. At the moment Iullius, Nikolai Volokov, and Beverly, are carrying the military forces.

The Order of Iullius actually operates mostly under legal limitations and doesn't actively bear arms in countries in which it is not permitted to do so.

Contracts with the Order should probably be discussed OOC first, but given it's small size, Iullius, Nikolai, Beverly, or Valeria, are almost certainly going to end up involved in anything they do. So if you need help fighting an evil tyrant, or defending your homeland, they'll do that.

At the moment this is not a superhuman combat force. They may be skilled, but no more then actual soldiers are. I do intend to make this grow a bit, but I want to start out with it being like this because there's no reason for it to just suddenly emerge as some vast entity.
