Time ticked, and the universe was as it has always been, a cosmic wonderland equal parts science and magic. And nearly a century ago, a miracle rose out of the folds of reality itself. From a unique and chaotic fluctuation in entropy in the heart of the Sun, a god was born. He was unlike any other, the first and only Miracleman, divinity woven into existence by the unseen hand of the cosmos, and decreed to be the first and last of his kind. So, he stormed out the storm of gamma rays folding round the Sun's core, swam out a hellish sea of plasma and light, and resisted the tidal forces that sought to tear him asunder.
Thee Champion was born.
A god who could outrace the photon, collapse entire stars with his bare hands, and wields energy like a sorcerer wields magic. And on Earth, mankind marveled at the sight of him. Like Apollo, he was beautiful and uniquely tethered to the Sun. Like Heracles, he was a divine strongman, unmatched by both god and man. Like Christ, his was the miracle birth of a Samaritan who lived among man - and had given his life for them. And like the Sun itself, man looked up to glimpse at his familiar glow. Yet detachment soon claimed him, and the petty concerns of civilized apes - animals who had domesticated themselves - were weightless against the grander schemes of the cosmos.
The Abyssal Imperium, the power-mad despots that'd look to claim the Universal Lavalieres and Omega Cubes, a rogue god-eater from a dead universe, and the secrets of reality all called to him. But his daughters were young, and he could not yet leave them. So, Thee Champion answered the universe's schemes by fathering a pantheon of godlings and demigods from his and only his essence; the Marvelmen.
✦ Godlings - The Pantheon ✦
From his seat on Earth, the Great One rules over his children, a king of gods commanding them to search the universe for ancient knowledge, defy the whims of the Abyssal Imperium and those like it, and shield daughters Maya and Tassiana - and by extension, Earth - from cosmic disaster. Yet theirs is a purpose greater than those of simple protectors. Thee Champion's Marvelmen are scientists, procurers of cosmic knowledge, and divine enforcement against the growing influence of the Abyssal Imperium and the primordial horror at it's helm.
They scour the cosmos in search of artifacts whose power, in the wrong hands, could rewrite the equations of what is to what one desires, and they serve only one, their father and king, and they - save for the 8th Wonder - are as follows:
- Height: 6'3"
- Weight: Variable
Like all Marvelmen, Caelus is loyal to Thee Champion, and at times even highly defensive of him. Though well-meaning and occasionally insightful, he is intermittently arrogant, proud, conceited and strangely spiteful. Despite his shortcomings, Caelus enjoys a fair relationship with all his siblings, and is often reined in by Aurora, for whom he has great respect for. Often likened to an immovable object, Caelus emits an enormous amount of gravitons which consequently generate an incredible amount of downward force.
Furthermore, as gravitons are considered mediators of gravitational force, the more gravitons Caelus emits, the greater his mass. In doing so, Caelus emits enough gravitons to neutralize the efforts of nearly any force that attempts to act upon him. And though this interaction with gravitational fields is primarily used to reproduce absurd superhuman durability and toughness, it is also at the root of Caelus' great speed.
Because all motion is relative and Caelus' powers enable him to change his rest frame, he can move at incredible speeds without actually possessing any superhuman speed himself. Though his interaction with gravitational fields is limited by his creativity with the power, Caelus is capable of dramatically increasing the gravity in his immediate environment, and by emitting an incredible number of gravitons, strike e.g. throw punches, kicks etc. with unimaginable superhuman force.
Furthermore, his ability to absorb gravitons allows him to reduce the mass of objects and so on to simulate superhuman strength, a power he does not actually possess. As with all his siblings, Caelus' aging process is remarkably slowed, and he can survive without food, water and air for long stretches of time.
✵✵ Hypnos ✵✵
- Height: 6'5"
- Weight: Unknown
Silent, peaceful and with an aversion to conflict, Hypnos is the Marvelman least known to engage in battle, often trusting in his siblings' capabilities while simultaneously providing them with psychic protection. An introvert with a preference for psychic communication over vocal communication, Hypnos cuts a detached and distant figure, and though he often keeps his thoughts to himself, his allegiance to his siblings and father is never in question.
A psionic singularity whose thoughts are not transmitted by the standard bio-electrical transmissions exhibited by a human brain, Hypnos possesses a plasma cloud in place of a brain, one capable of transmitting mental impulses stronger than any quantified energy source.
This plasma cloud is contained inside a field of psychic energy, and instead of thoughts and reactions driven by bio-electric interaction between neurons, in Hypnos' brain they are conveyed by fusion and fission reactions occurring at the speed of light. In addition to massive psychic powers such as Omega-level telepathy and telekinesis, Hypnos' mind processes information so quickly that it often fries the minds of other telepaths who dare to glimpse at his thoughts.
Without telekinetically-enhancing his own physical attributes, Hypnos ranks among the physically weakest Marvelmen as his physical attributes, though superhuman, are significantly below even Caelus'. As with all of them however, his biological aging process is incredibly and he can survive without sustenance etc. for extended periods of time.
He is implied to possess a form of psychic immortality by being able to project the quantum information that constitutes his consciousness as some sort of quantum soul existing non-locally in space-time geometry.

Successor to the 8th Wonder, Orion bears the strongest resemblance to Thee Champion of all his siblings. Kind, daring, courageous and chivalrous, Orion's confidence knows few bounds, and the trust he places in his own intuition is matched only by his adventurous spirit. He forgives those deserving of forgiveness, but confronts those who are irredeemable.
Possessing a body that is home to subcellular structures that act as a body-wide organ uniquely sensitive to the energies from hyper-dimensional universes congruent to the nU, Orion is a classically powerful godling.
All his body systems operate at extremely high levels of efficiency, enough to render him capable of destroying small moons, nigh-endless stamina, accelerating to 99.9% the speed of light, achieve flight, withstand thermonuclear explosions, and so on. This extremely high level of operational efficiency extends, of course, to his brain, enabling Orion to process information at superhuman speeds concurrently instead of sequentially.
Despite the hyper-dimensional energies his body mediates, Orion recruits every single inch of those energies to maintain his physical attributes as opposed to manifesting any energy manipulating abilities.
Unlike all his other siblings, he does not merely survive without water, food and air for extended periods of time, he has zero need for them, finding sustenance in his stream of hyper-dimensional energies.
But as with all Marvelmen, Orion is still subject to aging, albeit an extremely slow aging process that guarantees he remain in his physical prime for eons to come.
✵✵ Bia ✵✵
- Height: Variable
- Weight: Variable
A warrior as much as a demigod, Bia embodies the martial spirit of a war goddess, finding pride in martial pursuits. She is proud, headstrong, resistant to compromise unless ordered by her father, and derives much of her self-worth in her ability to protect Hypnos, the sibling to whom she is closest. Like Orion, Bia is powerful in the classical sense, possessing great physical strength and durability, enough to reduce mountains to rubble and swat away high-caliber gunfire.
Her true power however, lies in her blood. Bia's blood is, in essence, a gamma effect generator, an effect that finds it's spark at the quantum scale. At the quantum scale, empty space is not truly empty but instead boiling over with quantum particles popping up, colliding, and disappearing every nanosecond. Bia's gamma effect can trigger inter-atmospheric instability, causing these quantum particles to pop up far more energetically so that all organic matter caught within the blast range of these heavy energetic interactions would be immediately destroyed.
However, Bia does not simply trigger this "blast" for the sake of mere destruction, for when the field of her gamma effect interacts with the energized field of her "blast", her body generates additional quantum particles modeled after the unstable cells in her body, resulting in a powerful transformation.
A transformation that grants her a massive and supercharged physique that leads to a monstrous increase in strength and durability, and the ability to generate gamma radiation liberally. However, taking on this supercharged form is extremely taxing, even for Bia, and she is limited to a 15 minute window.
And once her exhaustion reaches it's breaking point, the gamma effect ceases and her nervous system reverses the transformation, allowing quantum particles to collide and cancel each other out until Bia's ordinary form emerges once more. As with all her siblings, she can survive significantly long without food, air and water.

Carefree, prudent, merciful yet unpredictable, Pallas is often fair and just when even-tempered. When angered however, he can exhibit destructive behavior, and must often be reined in either by his siblings or his father. Imposing and powerful, the godling is a sponge for the powers of others.
His cells possess unique organelles which, when Pallas establishes skin-to-skin contact with another being, absorbs the bio-electrical energy currents within said being's body. This bio-energy of sorts, is essential to the functionality of cellular metabolic processes, enabling Pallas to directly absorb an individual's "life-force". Depending on his desires, Pallas can either severely weaken an individual or kill them by absorbing enough of their life-force.
Furthermore, he can use this absorbed life-force to re-energize his own body or those of others, healing wounds and even raising the dead by depositing absorbed life-forces into corpses. However, the greatest utility of this ability is in the absorption of the powers of others. Cells and DNA strings are electromagnetic factories, as each cell generates an electromagnetic field and the DNA inside a cell influences the exact makeup of that field.
The electromagnetic fields of cells can essentially carry the information of the exact DNA inside it's core, and via electromagnetic induction during his bio-energy absorption, Pallas' cellular structure can copy the electromagnetic field of active genes responsible for metahuman abilities, enabling Pallas to absorb the powers of most individuals he physically touches.
Thus far, Pallas has absorbed the powers of an alien deity known for possessing the strength to crush mountains, survive in the molten core of terrestrial planets, and manipulate electricity. By absorbing the energy of others, Pallas maintains incredible endurance, even by demigod standards.
✵✵ Aurora ✵✵
- Height: 6'1"
- Weight: Unknown
Inquisitiveness and a desire for perfection flow in Aurora's veins. Like her father, Aurora sprints after intellectual pursuits with a myopic and obsessive determination. She is calm, unemotional, loyal, and fiercely intelligent. A scientist first and demigod second, she bears neither the classically high-end strength and durability of godlings, and instead commands a fundamental force of the cosmos; electromagnetism. Though hers is a strength that topples skyscrapers, Aurora's true power lies in the electromagnetic force humming between charged particles and swaying electric and magnetic fields. And it is from this power that the main cast of Aurora's abilities spring.
Through her electromagnetic sorcery, she copies the speed of an electric field oscillating with a magnetic one - light. She accelerates charged particles into superheated beams, commands the electric forces that hold molecules together to move both friend and foe, casts electrical storms, soars the skies, manipulates light and magnetic fields and so on. Yet it is her spear, a glowing wonder of divine technology and adamantine, that threatens her foes most. Unbreakable and sharp enough to overcome virtually any physical barrier, it is both a weapon and an aid for Aurora's electromagnetic sorcery. And with it, she can cast destruction. By infusing her spear with every iota of skill and power, she brings to life a deadly technology hidden deep in the weapon's adamantine shell.
A technology that, through electromagnetic interaction, neutralizes the positive and negative charges of a target's atoms and molecules to 0, effectively removing the forces that physically hold molecules together. With one hurl of her spear, Aurora disintegrates her foe into a mess of electrons, protons and neutrons, no longer held together and incapable of reacting with anything. Unfortunately, despite her skill and intellect, the power of Aurora's spear bears a daily limit lest she incapacitate herself. Like all her siblings, Aurora ages extremely slowly, is immune to all known toxins and diseases, and can spend extended periods of time without air, water or food.
✦ Deus - Seat of Power ✦
The Marvelmen live in Deus, a floating city primarily stationed in an entirely independent region of space-time. There, the pantheon and many lesser alien deities seeking refuge live surrounded by brilliant structures forged from M-crystals. Forged from exotic particles cultivated from the sea of non-Einsteinian energy inside Thee Champion's body, M-crystals exhibit several strange properties.
The exotic particles of which they are comprised of are made of only one type of quantum as opposed to the usual four, as well as being composed of only one "color" of gluon. The result is a fair trade of unusual properties, such as extreme strength and durability, similar to the adamantine used by the ancient pantheons of man.
Additionally, Deus is host to a variety of scientific wonders like waste consuming/recycling nanomachines, technology vaults, helper droids, and a slew of highly sophisticated technology e.g. powerful barrier technology. And despite inhabiting it's own independent region of space-time, the vaguely known technological wonders enable Deus to traverse the known cosmos, suddenly appearing in one location before disappearing to another one.
Perhaps the only known real wonder of Deus is a geometric anomaly whose interior volume is far larger than it's surface area. And inside it lay a grand hallway whose doors are tethered to the space-time coordinates of many different locations throughout the universe, as well as different periods of time up until the present. Deus is also home to the powerful quantum supercomputer - Everest - often used by Achilles the 8th Wonder.
- Deus is an extremely difficult location to find, so if your character does find it, you'll need some set-up posts that lead up to your discovery of the location.
- Standard RPG rules apply e.g. no godmodding, no-selling etc.
- If you want to attack this location for whatever reason, shoot me a PM on this account or on my 8th Wonder account.
