Years Ago

Within the clouds of Seria, under the cover of folds of space. An seemingly endless place of rocky ,pale white surface stretched out underneath the comics sky. Residing here were humanoids of divine beauty, while the women and child covered themselves in a radiant white cloak with golden accents, the men strode without any cloth, their toned genital-less bodies on display Structures of godlike marble and divine gold were spread across the infinite plane with a grand design that wrapped around a centerpiece. The piece was a phallic-shaped object that exceeded even the highest towers.

At the top of the monument, a triangle turned upside down rested, and within it was a hole. Through the hole shined a golden light, the light was the like of Ikarius as he watched over them. This was the life of the Descendants Of Ikarius, one full of eternal bliss and happiness. A A young Evander and his cousin, Jyulius ,resided here, in the perfect paradise his father created.

He stayed in the second largest building, The House Of Light, a residence for the direct children of theBig Three Proteges such as himself and Jyulius. A dozen other children stayed there, but he usually paid them no mind - mostly because he didn’t have time to. He was usually being rushed to and fro the House of Light and various other buildings to practice his training.

As the Son, he was under the pressure of being his father’s successor whenever he would resign the throne. He had to gain an in-depth understanding of his duties as The Lumenni (the phrase the head of the Pantheon is referred to) and the workings of the universes. The work was tedious even on the standard of divinity, requiring him to exert tremendous amounts of energy at all times. And while his body could never tire, his mind usually grew endlessly bored and null.

Today was going to be no different.

His mentor, a man with the same triangle as the monument engraved onto his chest and a silver beard, rushed the young Protégé out of his sleeping chamber. His tone was as usual, annoying to resting ears.

“Get up now, you have the Time to get your education done.”

Time here was different, it wasn’t a cycle of light and dark, but instead it was the switching of the Light. The Light of Ikarius turned a pinkish color instead of it’s usual gold whenever Aharta claimed the seat of Observer. During the switch the Men donned the robes and went into a comatose state while the Women and children removed them, the Women bare and the children with lighter robes.

However, it was a good 10 hars (equal to about 14 Earth hours) before the next switching of Light, so his mentor wanted to fit as much mentoring as he could.

Evander didn’t say anything, he didn’t want to waste protest on something he knew wasn’t gonna change. So he complied, grudgingly getting up from his resting place. His cousin Jyulius stood at the door, with a golden ball in his hand. Jyulius was at least three years younger than the Son, and usually tailed him wherever he went. Honestly, Evander didn’t mind the company, Jyulius’s curious behavior always provided him entertainment, but he couldn’t today. Today they were testing Evander’s growing power and Jyulius’s presence may present a problem.

He kneeled down to gently retrieve the ball from Jyulius’s hands, the child’s grey face held a smile of anticipation. Evander threw the ball, causing it to bounce around the spacious white walls at usually alarming speeds , but Jyulius was happy and tried to catch it, giving Evander enough time to vanish and catch up with his mentor.

He appeared in front of a white star on a moon, they were outside of the realm of the Descendants, but he preferred it that way. The Outside universe was much more beautiful in his opinion

“As the Son of Ikarius and Aharta, you are a Protégé of tremendous proportions. A king amongst men. A god-” Evander simply stuck out his hand, cutting him off. He didn’t like being referred to as a “god” it seemed disrespectful to his father and the ones that came before him.

A supreme amongst the ordinary” His mentor corrected himself. “And with that connection comes power. As any connection comes with power, but yours is special. “ With the swipe of his fingers, his mentor opened the star - not only the star but seemed to have been the entire space in front of him, like a dual sliding door. Behind it was a golden hand, not like his father’s palm hand. “You’re connected to The Creative Force, Altair. The one who made this universe and others like it.”

Evander had a small gasp at the hand’s scale, eventually the Mentor closed the door, returning the space in front of him to its initial state. “Amazing” Evander broke his silent front, he was in awe. “And what does that mean exactly”

With a knowing look, the Mentor turned to the Son Of Order, a small grin appeared on his lips. “Whatever you want it to mean. But for now, it means you can manipulate the flow of energy and matter. Light matter and Energy, not Hados’ domain” He pointed to the small moon they were on. “Break it” Evander was taken aback by the question. You don’t simply bring a person on a moon and tell them to break it, especially a child.

“But I can’t. It’s a moon”

The Mentor shook his head in disagreement. “Most of the Descendants can’t barring many of the young Proteges. But as I told you, you’re special. Now, break it.” He grabbed Evander’s head and forced him to face the moon’s surface.

Evander eyed the moon’s crust, and readied a fist. He struck the surface as hard as he could, resulting in a thunderous burst, but there was very little damage to the actual moon.

“Think less of your physical strength, and instead focus on separating the bonds of atomos in the moon itself. Then we’ll focus on your physical strength and how you can improve. We’ll be here until you break this moon. So learn quickly”

Evander pounded into the ground, trying different areas at the Mentor’s request. He continued this procedure for many times, much more than he could count. He expelled more energy than ever as he continued to try to destroy it. Eventually, he faded out of consciousness as he expended too much energy.

Eventually he regained consciousness, but not on a moon. He was back in the realm, but far from anything he knew. Had the Mentor abandoned him? He thought to himself, until he heard the ever so faint scream, not through his ears but within his head. It sounded familiar, but he couldn’t place it until the second scream.

It was louder.

Clear.

Desperate.

“Jyulius!” He yelled, his prepubescent voice filled with rage and the need to defend. His eyes glowed a golden yellow and his face sharpened into focus. An internal direction was guiding him, perhaps it was his father, he didn’t know really, but he followed it nonetheless. Gathering all of his energy, he unleashed it in one burst of speed. It releasing a sound that couldn’t be described by anything other than one word. Determination

He arrived at the Descendants of Ikarius, but immediately he knew the matter. A woman clothed in darkness not just the absence of light, but a much more primeval darkness had invaded the Utopia. Monsters with indescribable features fought with the Descendants, who responded back with force. It had turned into a war zone, a blood bath with no blood. His eyes widened to the size of silver dollars at the sight. But the memory of the scream snapped him out of it. He turned to the House Of Light, where the woman seemed to be headed. He then realized the end goal

She wanted the Young Proteges

He burst through the air towards the House, his sheer speed ripping holes in the beasts that surrounded him. But as he reached the house, damage was done. It had been destroyed, it still stood but large pieces of it were missing. There were still Young Proteges left, but a lot less than he remembered. He quickly gathered them up until he heard a scream; Jyulius’s.

Heading to the source he rushed upstairs to meet the distress, but he realized he wasn’t fast enough. Being gripped by the head, Jyulius cried as he was within the grasps of the woman. He fought and kicked while yelling, but it was all in vain. Her blackened eyes met Evander’s bot now filled with hatred. He lunged at her, but he couldn’t move. A similar darkness encased his being, gripping his neck and stretching out his appendages.

The Sons Of Ikarius and Romanis, both would be a great addition to my army.” She spoke, her voice smooth and dark

Evander felt his being getting sucked into the darkness, it was painful as if his very bones were being twisted. His vision was becoming darker and his energy was become removed from him. He continued to fight, but even he knew it was in vain.

A blast of blinding light appeared from the room, feeling the realm entirely until it suddenly died down. The darkness disappeared, but so was the woman. In front of him were the backs of four beings. Beings he recognized. His father Ikarius, his mother Aharta and his uncle and aunt Keipta and Romanis all stood before him, but Aharta was the first to move rushing to her son’s side

“Are you okay?” She spoke not only to him but to all the young Protege, who rushed to her in relief. Romanis left with his brother to fend off the remaining monsters as Keipta began to tend to the severely injured.Despite all the action, only one detailed mattered to Evander

Jyulius was gone, and he needed to get him back.

Today

A grown Evander looked from the realm to the Outside, it had broken during the invasion. And looked outward, he looked at a moon. It was broken, not in half but shattered. His face was brightened by a silent, focused anger. As his eyes flared. He had lost not only his closest friend but his people and his Mentor in that invasion. So under Romanis’s training, he wished to unleash his wrath upon the being who hurt his people.

So he readied himself, crouching in a readied stance. He gathered all his energy and focused on his feet, Unleashing it once more his call. However, there was no sound. Only light,

A supernova had occurred, and it carried the wraith of an angry Son.

Hell of a good read. Some of it was over my head, but what I read I loved.

So is the 'Dark Woman' another of your Alts or a NPC???

@thestallion: Thanks!

Most of the stuff comes from the Mythos I made a few days ago. So hopefully reading some of that clears things up.

And the Dark Woman is supposed to be Hados, but writing this from Evander's perspective means I couldn't call her by name, because he didn't know it

@aenese_: Thanks that clears up a lot,

I'll make sure to read your 'Mythos' some time.

Once again, that was a good read!
