"Is that all you got. Uchiha?"

No Caption Provided

The Young Lion Of The Kitsune sneered confidently at the opponent in front of him. With only the forest as witness, Kyushi found himself as the target of an ambush. Their motives were unknown to him, but in all honesty, he didn't really care. He was surrounded mysterious figures in white-clad masks. With only the child in front him, unmasked. The rest of his assailants watched in cold silence. It seemed as if they were testing the child, with him as her unwilling examiner.

It was insulting, in a way.

That they believed they could pit their newest member against the Second Kitsune Son, simply because he was young. So he was teaching her the mistake of her ways, as he delivered a powerful kick to her ribcage. Sending her soaring into the forestry beyond. He looked towards on of the ambushing party members, with a smug smile and cold eyes.

"Are you really going to send your newest member to their death? Y'all are some hardcore teachers that's for sure."

He slyly twisted his body as his opponent returned. Attempting to put a kunai into his back with blazing speed. Well, speed that would've caught an unexperienced Chunin off-guard. Kyushi couldn't help be laugh as he repositioned himself. A swirling ball of blue energy manifested within his palm, which he shoved into the young Uchiha's face.

Kyushi watched with a sense of pride, as he continued to push the limits of the one-tomoe his opponent wielded. Activated during their fight She avoided his attacked, but with signs of struggle. She tried to deliver a kick his rib, however he caught her leg with little effort. Spinning his body to throw her into the ground with surprising force despite his small frame. Shattering the ground below them. He straddle the top of her back, not wanting to give her time to gather herself.

"Man, you're slow. Sloppy. All around just terrible." He stretched his hands upwards another ball of energy formed. "Kasumi would've definitely liked to see you. Or he would've been massively disa-"

His boasting was abruptly interrupted, as small fist met the side of his face catching him by surprise. The pain didn't come all at once, so he looked down to find the Uchiha looking into his eyes. Her body turned completely. A diamond was formed on her forehead. However, there was something else that stuck out to him. There was another tomoe within her Sharingan.

"When did she manifest that?" He thought to himself. "It wasn't there befo-"

A wave of pain surged through his body, originating from point of the punch. His body flew through the air, as if it were weightless. It tore through the trunks of trees before bouncing off the ground. He managed to catch himself, but he was immediately met with flashing lights.

She blazed towards his position with a bright aura of energy within her hands. Her fingers sharpened into a palm. 'A Chidori?'

Kyushi suddenly felt an emotion he hadn't felt in a little while as the Uchiha torpedo'd his way. The realization that this wasn't some game, that this was an actual ambush hit him in this moment. Yet, he knew he was going to have to fight his way out of this.

Konohagakure, (The Village Hidden In the Leaves)

No Caption Provided

'Serenity, peace, calm, let the world wash away into nothing, I am the world, we are all the world, all connected.'

Atop the stone faces of the Hokage a figure sat deep in tranquil meditation, his breathing was gentle and slow; so slow it seemed as if he wasn't taking breaths at all for the outside world was no longer a presence to him, as his focus turned inward. Sinking deeper into his meditation, his inner eye opened and he felt his awareness heighten, he could feel everything, could sense the rustling leaves, the gentle flow of water and the wind weaving together harmoniously. Around him tucked tightly within the molecules in the air, coating every iota of space in the natural world was a beautiful energy; an energy most couldn't feel much less see yet to Homura the energy was almost palpable, as visible to him with his eyes closed as the sun was to someone staring directly at it's rays. It was swirling around him in an invisible aura, and as he began to open himself to that energy his sense of reality changed completely and he became nature itself once again. Every sound, every scent, the most imperceptible movement became amplified as his senses expanded beyond their usual limits connecting Homura more deeply with the natural world around him.

He could feel the erosion of the rocks beneath his feet, hear the splashing of fish in the rivers miles away, looking inward he could feel the spiritual calmness of his own mind and heart, his chakra flowing seamlessly throughout his body, but even deeper than that he could feel everyone around him, every heartbeat, their emotions becoming open to him by the chemicals released from their bodies, the pumping of their hearts, the smells of their tears and their hitched breaths of panic. This was a form of training, but to Homura it was also a way of looking over the village, to make sure he was prepared for any threat; within this Sage Mode the Leaf Village and the forests beyond were under his watchful eye and the people were safe. So there sat Homura Kitsune as still as the stone faces he meditated upon, his still body a resting spot for the birds seeking to recuperate from a long flight, and yet out of the corner of his senses among everything else encompassing his mind he felt a familiar chakra, and within that chakra he felt he felt a myriad of expressions and emotions .

Pride, an inflated ego, an unnatural confidence in his abilities atop a powerful chakra; it could be no one other than his brother Kyushi. Homura peered deeper drawing his full attention to his brother, the young shinobi was several miles outside the village limits, and he was locked in combat, and by what he was observing the younger Kitsune was in a favorable position.

"Kasumi would've definitely liked to see you. Or he would've been massively disa-"

Homuras eyes lifted open at this, the young heir to the Kitsune clan felt a sliver of sweat slide down the side of his neck. 'What the hell does that mean?' Rising slowly to his feet he bid his avian visitors farewell as they soared once again into the heavens. Homura on the other hand worried why the silent poison of fear was creeping into his brothers heart knelt down forcing the muscles in his legs to tighten until it seemed like they might snap; then with one almighty push, he released the strain on himself and rocketed towards the depths of the forest with incredible speed. He moved swiftly across treetops with an expert's grace, the velocity at which he moved however was anything but graceful; he was seemingly moving atop a maestorm of dust and leaves as if he were the center of a storm, bounding miles in a single jump. His footsteps tore bark off the sides of trees, his powerful leaps uprooted the leaves from their home and they joined Homura in the storm of his own creation.

'They're below me' Beneath his feet he could feel the searing heat from electrified chakra bouncing between the tissue of the leaves furthermore when he caught his first clear visual his heart skipped a beat as he noticed the electricity sparking from the palm of a young girl in what was most definitely the jutsu of his partner Kasumi and his Sensei.

'How does she know the Chidori? That would mean....' His eyes slowly drew their attention to the red that was the girl's irises...and the two tomoe that dotted her pupils. 'Another Uchiha?!' The mysterious girl chose that moment to strike and Homura was instantly knocked out of his thoughts as he leaped down from the trees appearing in front of his brother so fast it appeared teleportation was at play. Sanori on the other hand was much closer to Homura, her superior speed and perception compared to Kyushi being dismantled in the presence of the Toad Sage.

Homura reached out to snag the arm that was moving towards him at a snails pace ignoring the arcs of lightning that were far to slow to harm him,and he went to grip the girls hand stopping her in her tracks and cutting off her jutsu. When her brain finally registered what had happened she would find the 5'11 frame of Homura peering down at her. He stepped closer, looming tall over her until all she had in front of her was his imposing figure, His amber eyes searing into hers, as if he was staring right through the Sharingan adorning her eyes. "I expect a very good answer as to why you're entering the grounds of Konohagakure unannounced and attacking one of our Chunin." His voice was calm and low, yet powerful, and it echoed with a hint of hidden wrath beneath the surface as he addressed not the girl, but the ones standing watch adorned in white masks, boxing his brother in...The Jonin's posture was non-threatening and his grip was tight but not necessarily painful and from the back Kyushi wouldn't be able to tell if his brother was going to attack or hug the enemy; but amidst his seemingly cool behavior the spotlights that were his eyes stared with a frightening intensity revealing the anger that was building inside him at the attack against his kin. "Be prepared for what happens when I don't like the answer." Without breaking eye contact with this unknown Uchiha girl Homura reached behind him and patted his brother's shoulder in an almost comforting manner, letting him know he was not alone.

With his back towards the hard thick oak, Kyushi buried his heels into the soft malleable dirt underneath him. A bead of sweat formed atop of his head, but he knew he'd be long dead before it dropped if he were to do nothing. His breaths become short and shallow, and his heart and head raced to find solutions to his dire circumstances. Fear grasped his muscles, but another feeling lurked underneath as he was being challenged. Excitement. He assumed that was prepared for Sharingan with Kasumi's merciless, yet methodical training. However, he was being pushed by some bastard Uchiha that he had never seen before. Meaning he had not met his peak, and that he could still improve

She barreled towards him with deadly intent, her crimson in her eyes highlighted in the moonlight, with her chakra sharpening behind her almost as if it were a spear. He wanted to catch her off guard, perhaps a swift uppercut from below. Or implementing their clan's signature Shadow Clone. He stopped forward, his plan starting to take place when a shadow loomed over him. A shadow he had become accustomed to.

His brother's.

With the only telltale sign of Homura's arrival, was the Uchiha's reaction right before becoming grasped within the Fox Sage's hands. A breath that he didn't know he was holding escaped his lips. Fear becoming replaced with something much worse in his eyes, a broken pride. He turned away, not daring to look his kin in his eyes or head. The feeling of being saved, while grateful, stung him deeply, causing him to dismissively swat away at Homura's hand.

"I expect a very good answer as to why you're entering the grounds of Konohagakure unannounced and attacking one of our Chunin."

At those words, the reality of the situation began to settle in. Even if he had defeated the Uchiha, what about the rest of his attackers? What would they have done? Could he have taken them all? What were their reasons? The questions kept piling them one within his mind, before one had over taken the rest

'Who is she?' From what he understood, Kasumi should've been the last known Uchiha, especially after what had been done. A secret to die with the Youngest Kitsune. But before him, there one stood. Her red eyes challenging the Shinobi Savior's authoritive glare with a gaze of cold curiosity. However, Kyushi noticed something else. On the outermost area of her shoulder, a four-prong star or flower was tattooed. . . no, branded on her. It hummed softly with a pink luminance, before rapidly getting bright, calling for a reaction out of him. "WAIT!!" He yelled, his Jougan picking up the activation of space-time jutsu, causing him to throw a Kunai at the Uchiha's arm before, swapping places to get closer. The last thing he saw was her eyes meeting his, before vanishing instanteously, another masked Shinobi taking her place. Her traces being lost at the same time.

The new shinobi, a lot taller than the previous one snatched her arm out of the soon-to-be Hokage's almighty grasp. Kyushi acted immediately, taking into account that they were his enemies instead of targets. He pointed a set of fingers at the newcomer. A Rasengan forming at its tip, the size of a basketball before it was compressed to the size of a pinball. A bullet loaded and ready to penetrate the user if they acted out of turn.

"It simple. Really, we needed someone to test out the capabilities of our new student. Oh Savior. Your brother here seemed to be itching for a fight. We weren't going to kill him of course. That was entirely up to her."

He twitched at the thought, his life being left in her hands. A life she was so willing and ready to take. If this was truly just an elaborate way of training, then he truly wasn't a skilled and he so once believed. Then, the woman's fingers flicked downwards. Obviously a signal. Kyushi reacting instinctively, releasing the Rasendan. It blurred through the air at speeds only his brother could perceive, effortlessly tearing through the mask and her skull. Releasing a purple gas within the air. Kyushi held his breath, but could feel the substance burn into his skin. His sensory muffled as shadows began to move. Preparing himself for a fight with his kin.

The feeling of his brother brushing his hand away stung, but not anywhere near as much as the feelings in Kyushi's heart. The last thing he wanted to do was make his brother feel inferior and weak like he needed rescuing. The kid inside him related to that need to prove himself to the world after being plunged in the accomplishments of someone else, and the sting of knowing when you're out of your league. On the other hand Homura was no longer a kid, as a Special Jonin he was often forced into making decisions that often conflicted with his heart, and this was no different.

If Homura had let this random encounter play out and his brother ended up dying he would never be able to forgive himself. This wasn't a mission, Kyushi was without a squad and surrounded by foreign forces, and realizing what that girl was should have prompted him to retreat back to the village before being drawn into this situation. Surprisingly it seemed Kyushi had come to a similar realization, his brain shifting from his hurt pride to the situation ahead of them.

'Who is she?'

"Good question." His gaze still locked on the confused Sanori, slowly drifted downward to her neck as a peculiar luminescence dawned upon her face. He felt a massive shift in chakra before his brother could bark out a warning, and with a blinding flash of light the girl whom he had in his grip vanished, replaced by a mature woman who yanked her arm out of his grip. Acknowledging the Jutsu his brother had prepared behind him, Homura instantaneously cloned himself, sending his replica towards Kyushi whilst he remained still with arms crossed, unfaltering in his patience for an answer.

"It simple. Really, we needed someone to test out the capabilities of our new student. Oh Savior. Your brother here seemed to be itching for a fight. We weren't going to kill him of course. That was entirely up to her."

"That was...a terrible answer." No sooner had those words left his mouth did the masked assailants decide to make their move, a flick of a finger was all that was needed to mobilize her forces against the two ninja. Homura however still hadn't budged, he didn't need to tell his brother what to do, he didn't even need to check to see if he'd noticed the almost imperceptible movement of the enemies finger; he knew he'd seen it because despite all of the craze that surrounded the older Kitsune sibling Kyushi was far more naturally talented then he possessing among other things, a keen sense of focus, detail and rationale in his young age that took the hot headed Homura years to form. The people in the village in a rush to compare the two siblings always placing the young shinobi next to how Homura was as a realized adult, forgetting one crucial fact...Kyushi was leagues above the level that Homura was at his age, and if continued to improve and mature at the rate he currently was he would soon become a shinobi more formidable than Homura ever could have been.

At the adversaries signal Kyushi's jutsu past whizzed past Homura's head sailing into the face of the head ninja in front of him. The sheer speed of his brothers Rasendan was incredible and Homura, seizing the chance to make a move while his enemy was in shock weaved the flying projectile and lunged forward; his fist reaching the woman before his brothers jutsu had fully dissipated with full intent on flattening her before she even realized what had happened.

From the back Homura's clone stood directly next to Kyushi, the clone possessing the same Sage Mode as the original was observing the actual Homura as the area around them was suddenly filled with a noxious and stinging gas. "Kyushi, sync chakra with me." Placing his hand on the smaller boy's shoulder Homura would open his chakra network to his brother hoping he did the same. As a result Kyushi would notice any chakra he'd previously burned away in his battle with Sanori had been restored and his reserves were back to 100 percent, they were essentially sharing chakra now, Homura how feeding his power to his brother knelt down speaking in a whisper. "I want you to cover me from back here, I don't know that jutsu of yours so I'm going to be your ammuniton. My real body is in the smoke right there He pointed to his position with his free hand, then pointed out everyone else addressing when their movements changed at any time. With your cover fire my real body will take them down in the confusion. So let's see more of that jutsu of yours little brother! Go crazy!"

@homura_kitsune:

The smoke burned like fire as it entered his orifices, it slowly tried to poison him. Instill a sense of fear, fear against an unknown source. Every instinct wanted him to run, to flee as fast as he could, against his own will. Yet, he couldn't. He never wished to admit it, but despite himself he still aspired to be like Homura. He leaked an aura of bravery, even within the midst of the treacherous. Where perilous circumstances piled up, stacking the odds in an unfavorable outcome. Homura would still be there, standing to weather to storm. He instilled a sense of courage in even the most cowardly people. And as long as they shared the same blood, he was not going to put his those acts to shame by running away. Through nothing else, but the sheer determination that the Kitsune family shared. Kyushi dug his feet into the ground, fighting off the effects of the gas.

"Kyushi, sync chakra with me."

The voice familiar, he heard his brother behind him. His hands on his shoulders. Only strengthening the bond that the two shared. His pride shifted not from his own accomplishments, but between the two of them. He opened up his nodes, allowing the two separate systems to become one. Although Kyushi knew this was a shadow clone, he couldn't help but be awed about the amount of chakra it held within its reserves. The newfound power coursed throughout his body like a tsunami threatening to overtake the street. Yet, Kyushi wasn't going to let it. He channeled the chakra into his own Tekktsu system. A perfect link between blood.

Even with the clone's guidance, Kyushi was having a hard time differentiating the shadows from one another. He squinted, trying to become more perceptive. When suddenly, his Jougan activated. A ghastly blue light was emitted into the purple haze, illuminated everything, rivaling that of the moon's own brightness. His brother's reserves only strengthening it. The Chakra systems of the attacking ninja had become clear to him. As if they were standing in a field in broad daylight. The gas itself had traces of chakra within it, solidifying to Kyushi that this was a jutsu.

With that information, Kyushi takes a deep breath. Feeling the union between the two. With Homura as the source and Kyushi as the scope. With two hands outstretched, Kyushi began his assault. However, as Kyushi began to muster up his chakra, Homura could notice something odd. A signature hidden deep within the depths of his brother, an immensely dense source of chakra residing in his right hand. It slowly intermingled with Kyushi's own chakra, strengthening it beyond that of another shinobi. It resonated similarly to Kaguya's own. A marking stretched across Kyushi's body, the new signature greedily spread at the introduction of Homura's own. Yet, Kyushi himself had been unaffected.

With his right hand, the gas was vacuumed into the diamond marking. Only further fueling the ever-consuming nature of the alien energy. With his left hand, the Rasendan started out as a solid white ball of swirling energy, the size of one of Homura's Big Ball Rasengans, before becoming compacted. This time, smaller than his last. He aimed the Rasendan with mechanical precision at one of the assailants, who was directly behind Homura. With a stoic tone unnatural for the prideful ninja, a single word was spoken.

"Die."

The bullet of energy was release without a sound, only the slight rumble within the Earth's pits to announced its approach. It pierced through the skull of the unfortunate ninja, effortlessly. Leaving behind a solid trace to match. The man's head remained intact with only the enter/exit sites being surrounded by suddenly charring and melted flesh. Yet, something else took place. If Homura noticed, the bullet aimed not only for the man's head, but for the Crown Tenketsu node at the top. The bullet simply, erased it, alone with any other nodes. Tearing out the ninja's connection to the chakra he wished to possession, permanently. Without a second thought, Kyushi repeated the process. Again. And Again. And Again. Snuffing out the light of life without a thought of guilt in his head.

The two Kitsune brothers had become a single being, fusing their chakra into one system that worked together in perfect synergy. Chakra was the lifeblood of existence and no other clan had attained the heights of power as the Kitsune Clan; they were renowned across the world for their powerful sealing jutsu which gave them unfathomable influence over the mystical energy that surged through their veins, making them unstoppable forces within the ninja world. But it wasn't their control over chakra that made the Kitsune so powerful, it was something far more potent -- an indomitable will intertwined in every fiber of their crimson hair, or in Homura and Kyushi's case lacking the traditional red hue of their clan, instead burrowed deep into the core of their hearts.

He felt a swell of pride as Kyushi bravely stepped forward and began to manipulate the chakra energy that had been gifted to him with astonishing skill, watching as Kyushi turned the energy into a formidable version of one of his most powerful techniques. But as he was weaving the chakra Homura began to feel a sinister power creeping from the depths of his Kyushi's chakra system; a malicious power disguised as strange marks that snaked its way up his arm, trying to make itself symbiotic with him.

It felt like a battle of wills against the Fox Sage and despite his valiant effort to maintain control, the darkness won out, taking full advantage of Homura's mistake before he could realize what had happened. His brother's arm extended and the giant Rasengan condensed in his hands before he fired without warning, taking the life of one of the enemy shinobi without mercy. The chakra bond between Homura and Kyushi shattered as Kyushi continued to mercilessly annihilate anyone who opposed him; obliterating their souls along with their chakra systems by erasing their Tenketsu points.

The real Homura was in the smoke when he suddenly felt the life energy of their enemies being snuffed out until there was only one left, as Kyushi readied to take his final shot Homura grabbed the last ninja who happened to be the one he'd absolutely flattened before and pushed her out of the way before rushing to his brother and reaching to clasp his wrist. He tried to ignore the strange markings covering half of his brother's body but he couldn't get past the nauseating feeling growing in his stomach.

'This chakra is pure evil...how is it in my brother?!"

"Kyushi! Kyushi hey snap out of it!"

Deep within the nothingness, Kyushi sunk. A pool of void made form surrounded him as his mind bad been taken over. In that moment of vulnerability of shared pride with his brother, he had made a crucial mistake. He had lessened his grip over the evil that lurked within him. That being that held shelter in his body, the Otsutsuki that came to him, both desperate and fearful of death. The Devil with Moon-Lit eyes. Forced from his body's pilot seat, Kyushi watched helplessly as 'he' killed without mercy. At the top of the endless sea the Otsutsuki, known only to Kyushi as Finishiki, stood upon the waters. Puppetting the body that was rightfully Kyushi's.

He tried to scream, but the sea of thoughts drowned his cries, forcing him into a metaphorical silence. Finishiki looked down at the struggling child in the ink black waves, and with an expression of disgust stuck out his hand towards him. Suddenly, the waves picked upped, threatening to throw around Kyushi without mercy. Waves struck violently, forcing him deeper into the waters every time he tried to break the surface. It poured down ink from the unseeable heavens, threatening to sting his eyes with the substance. Yet, despite all odds Kyushi fought stubbornly, swimming as the currents as his mind threatened to turn against him.

"You damn persistent brat." The Otsutsuki muttered through gnashed teeth. "Let's see if you're still willing to fight after you kill your brother."

The words caused Kyushi to fall into a determined rage, swimming faster to reach Finishiki and end his reign. Yet, he knew he couldn't do it alone. Before the next wave hit, he used all of his lungs to shout out to Homura, silently praying that their bond was strong enough. "HOMURA!!! THAT ISN"T ME! KILL ME IF YOU NE-" A wave washed over him, once again throwing him under once again, however as the cold embrace of the void overtook him once more, the young Kitsune hadn't given up just yet . . .

The Otsutsuki piloting Kyushi's body waited for the Fox Sage to get close. It was adorable how the shinobi cared so much for one another, yet had little issue with killing outside of their circle. Finis had little quarrel with murder himself, as it was needed to create the World Trees that enable him to pursue godhood. Finis didn't jerk or react as Homura grabbed Kyushi's wrist.

"Kyushi! Kyushi hey snap out of it!"

The Fox Sage's voice caused and abrupt disturbance within Finis's own psyche. He could feel the boy fight harder at the sound of his brother's voice, meaning Finis needed to kill him quick. The Otsutsuki had heard and learned of the Fox Sage, through the eyes of Kyushi. His history, his fighting style, his power, and his weaknesses, his brother being one of them. "Hey" The Otsutsuki spoke through Kyushi's vocal box, before moving to strike at speeds only a true Otsutsuki would know. His had two pointed fingers, with a immensely dense Rasendan readied at their end as he jabbed them at Homura's stomach. The target of his attack was Homura's Eight Trigram seal, aiming to not only kill Homura but to eradicate Kurama as a future threat.

"I'm more than fine."
