One Week After The Events At The Russian Federal Assembly
“Barton, How do I look?”
“Powerful as ever your grace.”
“Good, I want the masses to both see and feel the weight of my words.”
The God King spoke with the confidence of one who was victorious, one who had began a chess match and was watching as his moves slowly slid the pieces into place. With the recently gained support from Russia he had begun the sequence of events that would put him in a position of assured victory.
Here he stood in his throne room, cape fluttering in the breeze as Sir Barton watched his God King ready himself to address the world. A message had been sent to major news outlets that he had a message he wished to address and they took the bait. It was another thing he had learned since his arrival in the world of mortals, the media just desired a story. A being like him giving a speech was something akin to a fat steak thrown into the cage of a rabid dog. They would jump on the chance to dig in and make themselves famous from it.
“While I’m gone I want the Dog sedated and readied for transport to this location” A slip of paper was handed to the Knight, scribbled on it were a series of latitudinal and longitudinal coordinates. “Be sure they keep him locked away and relaxed; we don’t want him eating the very men and women who are going to make this all possible.” With that the God King’s body began to shimmer, arcs of electrical power snaked along his arms. The crackling of visible electricity filled the air and then...CCCCCRRRRRAAAACCCKKKKK. A white flash engulfed the room, leaving only a black scorch mark where the God King had once stood.
Boston Public Garden
Reporters had gathered in countless numbers with their makeup and camera crews all ensuring their equipment was working. This was about to be the story of a lifetime and missing it could cost them their status as employed citizens. Some didn’t even have time before the black clouds began to fill the sky, swirling around and around. Their carefully done hair began to stand up on end. The air around them reeking of chlorine. Up in the clouds white streaks could be seen rushing towards the center of the swirling storm before everything went white.
A massive bolt of lightning slammed itself into the ground about five feet from the group of reporters. The light dissipated leaving the hulking form of Methodius standing in its wake. The shock they felt wore off and the questions began flying at him from every angle. Asking about Miami, France, Justice City, why he did the things he did, the events in Africa, all of it. His palms clapped together creating a loud KKKRRRAAAKKKKOOOOMMMM to silence those before him.
“I was wrong.”
His words confused those who looked at him as a walking nuke with a god complex, one who had showed little remorse in the past now humbling himself by admitting fault. It was something most would not believe until he did something to prove he meant it.
“I was ill-informed of the modern world of mortals, my knowledge only coming from the first 100 years I had seen. During that time men worshiped Gods like Kings because they were powerful. I arrived here expecting that same level of respect to be handed to me because I am powerful. My recent interactions with your kind have showed me the error of my thought process. So I, Methodius the God King, would like to apologize to the world. I know my words cannot begin to atone for the lives I have taken however it is a beginning.”
“The byproduct of my learning has been an increased focus on bringing peace to a world ravaged by wars. A unity among the different factions for the common goal of protecting this planet which we all care about. In honor of this idea of unity and to display the ability of the world to come together I shall be hosting an event. Together with Russia my Holy City will become the location for the first ever World Tournament.”
“Every Country will nominate their best and strongest for the chance to defend their honor in battle. Two will be chosen to fight for supremacy all in the name of sport.”
“More information will be given when the date of the tournament draws closer but, I hope this can serve as a way for me to prove to the world that the only thing I desire is for this world to be safe from those who wish to do it harm. Thank you for giving me your time and I wish you all the best of luck in the coming days.”

- Okay so here is the announcement for the Big Tournament Story line WHOOOO, Its still a few months away as I have alot of groundwork to lay in order to try and make this the best event I can. The reason I'm making this is to both A. Provide a bit of context into why Methodius wanted to ally with Russia and B. To give people time to build up a reason why their character would be nominated for such an event. If the reason why a character was chosen to represent a country is built up enough I will accept it. Once the time comes for the actual tourney I plan on doing polls so the community can vote on who they think will be the best fit to rep a country in something akin to the CV Olympics.
