Avatar Personal Log 20-814: Earth Avatar One
"Ring, make sure to a copy of this recording in both my logs and the Victories database... alright, full connection made. Hello, my name is Sam Richmond; I am the 50th Avatar of sector 2814, Green Sect. I created this log on November 5th, 2013; Earth time.
Due to recent events, I have decided to make a log of the Avatar Sects so that, in the case of my injury or disappearance, my allies on Earth will still know what they may be facing if my or any of the other six sects should take an interest in sector 2614, particularly Earth. Where to begin... ah, yes, I should start with my own."
Green Sect

"Let it be known I may be biased when discussing this one; I'm a member, obviously. I'll be as truthful as possible, I assure. Alright, the Green Sect was one of the second generation of Sects, along with the Orange. It was founded by elder members of the Yellow and Blue Sects.
The defecting members of the two sects both believed they were doing something wrong; the Yellow members thought they were going too far, meanwhile the Blue thought they weren't doing enough. They talked plans over with each other, for around ten Earth years. Eventually, they harvested the power of courage, the power of will.
They were originally labeled vigilantes by the first generation sects; the Yellow and Red sects tried to hunt them down, teach them a lesson. The Blue sect provided hiding spots, but other than that stayed neutral throughout ordeal. I guess they were scared that the Green Sect would replace them all, and corrupt. Of course, they lost that train of thought after the Orange Sect formed... but we'll get to that later.
After the other sects stopped hunting them, they started recruiting. Due to their acts of vigilantism around the universe, they had gotten a sort admiration; kinda like the way kids love me here on Earth. Many heroes from the planets they had rescued stepped forward to join.
Many of these recruits were soldiers, officers, law bringers... It is for this reason that, today, the Green Sect works very much like a police force on Earth. We don't outright kill or break the will's of criminals, but we don't give them a slap on the wrist either. We put them in our prisons, or the home planet's prisons. We don't want death, we want justice."
Blue Sect
"As said before, the Blue Sect was one of the first generation sects; as well as one of the parents of the Green sect. They really have been a weird bunch since their formation, and haven't really changed since then. They were given the power over hope and faith.

Essentially, this means as long as a user had faith in himself or others, or others had faith in him, his ring would work well. Due to this, it was practically a requirement that the user of the ring be high religious; it naturally supported the abilities. Priests of the Blue Sect are, from my knowledge, the most powerful of any singular members of any of the sects.
Even with all this power at their hands, however, the Blue Sect remains the most ridiculed of the sects. This is due to the way they use their power- far too passively. Although they will fly save worlds from 'natural' disasters (which apparently includes robots under their own definition), it is nigh-forbidden for a Blue Sect member to attack another living being unless given absolutely no other alternatives. They'll try to calm and preach to any hostile beings, only using their power to defend themselves. It was for this reason that the Green Sect was formed."
Yellow Sect
"Ah, now onto these guys. The Yellow Sect is my seco-.... third least favorite of the other sects. They were given the power over fear; not their own, the fear they instilled in anyone else. Their mind set is that, if the people are too frightened of their guardians to commit any crime, peace would be achieved... bah, garbage... *sigh* let's just get this over with.

They were one of the first generation sects, for whatever reason fate had. They were the most widespread of the original sects, reaching across the universe with yellow light and broken wills. They were cruel; they didn't wanna kill anyone... originally... they wanted a perfect world. They never got it... it was no wonder when the Green Sect formed... bah, moving on..."
Violet Sect

"One of the two third and most recent generation of sects, elder sister of the Indigo Sect, this one is a bit more complex than most. They believe that by caring for the weak, and defending those they love, peace will be achieved. Sounds far-fetched, but with the help of the Indigo Sect, they are actually very successful.
It was founded when Avatars from the Green and Blue sects were sent to gather information on a worm hole. According to the stories I hear, when they got there something had come out it. A stream of energy, of the same kin as the other emotional energies. It breached the Avatar's minds of the female members of the Avatar party, finding them worthy, and gave them the power over love and care. With this stuff in their heads, they blasted off; leaving their former comrades behind and confused."
Orange Sect
"The Orange Sect... a shining example of what can happen from paying attention to the wrong issues. Can't believe the Red and Yellows were so preoccupied hunting heroes to deal with this... I'm getting ahead of myself again. The Orange Sect's power is based on one's greed and stubbornness; which mean how powerful a member is is defined by how bad they want something. Or, you know, everything.

As mentioned before, the Orange Sect was formed while the Green Sect was still being hunted like criminals. Apparently, while their leaders were distracted, several members of the Red and Yellow Sects were meeting in secret... experimenting and plotting. Unlike the Green Sect, they wanted an actual take over. So, they were trying to combine the ferocity of the Red Sect with the purpose of the Yellow Sect. One day, they thought they had broken the code to combing the energies, and their leader, Valik, volunteered to be the test subject... what came out was far from what they wanted...
Valik came out more powerful than ever... but, his mind was broken by the emotions he was feeling. He didn't know why, but he was angry... very angry, unsatisfied. In his rage, he killed all the his followers, and stole their energies. It made him feel good, powerful... He mindlessly decided that was why he was so angry- he needed more power. So, he went to the closest source of power he could smell... Are-Alor, the world used as a base by the Yellow Sect.
He rained down hell upon the planet. The Yellow Avatars found the mindless beast immune to fear, and their power faded away before them. Eventually, Red Sect members arrived. The Yellow Sect members were all but powerless by then, so Valik turned his attention towards the hate-filled Avatars. They were strong, but they couldn't hold him for long without help. Luckily for them, the Green Sect showed up and, with their combined forces, defeated and imprisoned Valik. Shows em' right..."
Indigo Sect
"The younger sister to the Violet Sect, the Indigo Sect is the most recently formed of all the Avatar sects, as well as the smallest. They use the power of compassion. They have done very little on their own since their formation, but constantly aid the Violet Sect.

As I've said, the Indigo Sect was formed after the Violet Sect discovered another emotional energy; they split their members, and one half took in the energy, becoming the Indigo. For this reason, they share many of the same traits and beliefs as the Violet Sect. Unlike the Violet Sect, however, they didn't recruit just women. A matter of fact, their current leader is a man; I've met him, he's a good person. Unlike the final group I have to speak of..."
Red Sect
"These guys are are second only to the Orange Sect in a measurement of my disdain. They control the power of hate and vengeance; and use it as you would probably guess. They hold a firm belief that the only true way to assure peace is to 'permanently' deal with any who was disturb the peace- killing. They murder anyone who's broken their laws, rip them apart... it's not a pretty sight.

They were one of the three original Avatar sects, along with the Yellow and Blue sects. Each of the original members had just as much hate in their heart as was in their rings, all victims of horrid crimes. I can sympathize with them, I'm sure may of us can, and I can understand the reason they have so much hate... but still, it isn't an excuse; a man on Earth taught me that. There are no excuses, it's either you do or you don't, and the Red Avatars chose to do.
I hope this helps. Better to be safe than sorry. Avatar out.
///Log Complete///
Soon to be open, but I need help.
Decided now was better than later, so here we go. I'm sure a lot of you were wanting to make an alt/turn a character into an Avatar- I'm fine and dandy with that, just want to start it off the right way.
I'll be opening this up with a Avatar/Space RP, but before I do that I wanna make sure I have at least one member for 5 out of the seven Avatar Sects. If you wan to make a new character for this, I'd be willing to provide alts (that I don't use) for this. If you plan on joining a Sect with a character already in use (Sha using Ziccarra to join the Violet Sect, for example), that's also fine, but I'd prefer this not to be a one time thing for them- they should keep the ring, even if they are keeping it in a lock box :S
In any case, if you want to make an Avatar PM me.
