The 6'4" man standing in front of the subway station donned the colors of America, his golden mask representing freedom, white- purity and innocence, red- hardiness and valor, blue- vigilance. As a hero, Mlud brings all of that through his actions. At the age of 47, virtually all of New York and even beyond has come to recognize this hero for his services that he has rendered to the public over the 30 years of his professional career.

Most of the servicemen of the day grew up under his shadow, they could entrust the hero with their lives, trust him to make sure they were safe, be it a pickpocket, a gunner or a terrorist, and worse, a super villain.

In an age of metahuman and vigilante deviants, the latter is extremely common, but Mlud sets himself apart by working with the law. He can be contacted, and he can be made to answer. The NY County and Police Department has long ago recognized the veteran hero as part of the same fold as peacekeepers, making the work of the hero that much easier.

He guards his flock like a vigilant dog, unafraid to kill any that dares try and attack.

"Since its the holidays, movements in and out of the metropolis will be hectic. You're new to the job, just don't be overwhelmed." Said Mlud to one of the fresh joinees on the police force, that he could tell because the face was new. "Especially after a pandemic, people are going to be even crazier to move about."

The timing couldn't have been more perfect.

The so called "madness" made a point to arrive not two seconds after he spoke on it. A man dressed in silver armor walked down into the subway, right past Mlud, and continued forward, step by step, until he stopped just short of some young woman. He stopped in front of her and smiled. And she smiled back.

"Worthy."

If you'd blinked, you might've missed it. A warhammer appeared in his hand and, with one arm, he swung. And the upper half of her body seemed to vanish; replaced by a red mist that painted the subway walls. The most unnerving part of all of this?

His lack of concern.

This man, this beautiful man. He looked upon her lower half and smiled. No attention given or thought devoted to anyone in the area; not security nor onlookers. And with a light hum and a look of satisfaction. He slowly began to walk down the subway path towards someone else.

Not a care in the world, it seemed.

He was past his prime but he did not miss a beat. But just because he saw a flowing white haired man who looked more angelic than man and in a suit of armor no less, or even that he'd never seen the guy before, did not prompt a response so long as it did not get in the way of M'lud. New folks, heroes he did not meet tended to cross him daily. There was nothing alarming in that.

But it was already too late for the woman. He had only blinked. A weapon had appeared in the man's hand, a large hammer and it made victim out of a woman, all in the blink of an eye. Red blood and pieces of flesh and bones decorated everyone and everything in the vicinity. M'lud was left stunned for a moment, before chaos set in. Screams of people and commotion of the public who wanted to be anywhere but there.

"MAINTAIN ORDER AS MUCH AS YOU CAN! MOVE THE PEOPLE OUT!" He barked at officers too rattled to do anything. They had never been in a situation with a villain before, and M'lud had never been with one this cold blooded. It made the hair on the back of his neck stand.

Only he moved towards Dhukhan, but he realized, so long as people weren't fully evacuated, he had his hands tied. He moved, but the world seemed to slow down when he did. Right hand raised, palm spread open, he looked to slap the armored man on the side of his face, slap him into the wall facing the train tracks. He did not pause for a talk. A woman was just killed in front of him. Talking to the monster was the last thing on his mind!

Followed up with the slap was a knee directed at the temple of the armored man, to squash his face and hopefully knock him out.
