@venator_umbra: @tyrus_ :Agent-Wilson was slightly shocked by his disappearing, that man he was arguing with was more than human clearly. He felt frustrated with himself, he admired those who were special, different. Those with more power than those we see everyday, it's why he went into the field, it was his only way to find out about these people not being one himself.

Still, he needed to stand by his actions. No being weak, he learned that the hard way back in his home town in old Massachusetts. Ugh, he didn't even want to think about that place... about his father. He had a new identity here, just an Agent specializing in the supernatural, no family or any old friends here to bring up those painful times. But he had to make it right, and continue his passion of studying the supernatural and strange, like those Dragon creatures with the diamonds swords.

He went up to Tyrus "Director. I hope you don't mind, but I do need to have a desk and a computer to do the research you're demanding." Agent Wilson asked his boss bluntly, and with some slightly awkward humor as well.

Ashley gave an amused grin as she listened to the majestic Lord Hawk. “It’s common, for those of us in the ‘hero business’ not to actually see a doctor.” The Knightfall began. “With secret identities and private medical records we would rather not exposed to the public… or our enemies, it’s a sensitive issue. But that’s why I’m here; I want to provide this team with adequate medical care without worry of your information being exposed to the world. What we discuss here, is between us, always.”

“Any questions?” Ashley repeated as she thought for a moment, pressing a couple of key’s on her keyboard as her digital file appeared before her. “I believe your medical records I have on file gives me sufficient amount of information.” Her brows pushed against each other a bit as she quickly read through notes made by previous medical personnel. “However... the burns you sustained during the Cataclysm event.” She pulled the reading glasses down from her eyes to take a better look at Shaeyera for a moment, to only see no real signs that she had been injured like her file stated. “Do you have any residual effects from them? Any superficial skin sensation changes? Trouble with humid or hot climates?” She asked as she pulled out a pen and a digital pad, wanting to write down any notes needed to help care for the Lord Hawk.

Target One: Jean Knightfall.

Magic is hard to kill. This kid's basically bulletproof, and can vaporize people with a thought. That's why she's first.

47 was crouched in the rafters of the bowels of the STRIKE helicarrier. In one hand he clutched a detonator, in the other a handgun. Intelligence suggested that her shields would protect her from any attack 47 could offer, but her contingencies would teleport her home if the shields took enough damage. Firing three shots at the ground behind her, 47 watched the Knightfall Heiress whirl, six syllables of an incarnation on her lips. 47 squeezed the detonator and fired a grapnel, the line pulling him away from the explosion. When he looked back, Jean was gone.

Target Two: Director Tyrus.

Next up is slightly less dangerous, but more important. Tyrus, the head honcho.

47 opened up a satchel. Inside, a collapsible rifle and a uniform sat. He zipped the jumpsuit over his normal attire and hid the rifle. The security was of course tighter than that, but 47's handler had given him a way around that. The sleeves of the jumpsuit ended in gloves. Made of human skin. Specifically, that of the person who this jumpsuit had belonged to. 47 exited the lower levels, calmly placing his hand on the DNA sensor. The doors slid open. Tyrus' office was nearby, and 47 knocked on the door, his other hand itching to mov towards the zipper, so he could remove the disguise, revealing the weapons within.

@subject47:

Nothing happened on Tyrus' ship without her being aware of it. When shots were fired she was alerted by the computer and immediately given a video feed from the area. I was wondering when someone would try something. She tapped a series of commands and sent a text message to @ashley_knightfall (assume this is happening sometime after your talk with Solar Hawk) to go and make sure the other Knightfall was ok. She also sent orders to several agents and a hero to escort the doctor. A second message was sent to everyone in the carrier alerting them of the attack a need for reinforcements at her office.

Tyrus stood up at the knock on her door and smiled a little. She pulled her gun from its holster but held it calmly at her hip. She used the weapon's barrel to tap the button that would open the doors to her office. It's possible of course this isn't the attacker, but that seems unlikely. The video had only been of the attack area, not of the area in which he changed into his disguise. If he's going to get through security to get this far he'll need some kind of disguise, I look forward to seeing what it is.

Solar Hawk shrugged. "No lingering damage no. My body heals itself completely if it has enough time, there's no damaged nerve endings or left over injuries as a result. I guess my body sort of does your job for you in a lot of respects but it's not combat speed, I'm not one of those people that can take a serious wound and recover it in a few seconds. It took me several hours to fully heal from the burns and it hurt like hell...but it was worth it. Sometimes you have to take a little pain to make sure you do your job and keep others safe."

Edit: (Forgot the other half of my post, lol)

Solar Hawk shifted a little in her chair. "There is something else though." She said, obviously uncomfortable now. "I uh...as you may know from the news Luna Hawk and I have been in a serious relationship with Alexander Rook for some time now. We talked and want to start a family...so I petitioned Amun-Ra for the right to reproduce." She was very uncomfortable talking about this sort of thing and it showed in her mannerisms, her confidence was no where near as obvious as normal. "We don't um...have the same processes as human women ordinarily. It would seem though that he's agreed. Based on...well on the fact that I seem to be pregnant."

Starspeed heard the call while pacing and teleported to Ashley Knightfall and saw the agents as well, "Ma'am." He said simply beginning to walk partly in front and to the right so he could see attacks from most angles as well as her.

His eyes sped back and forth watching for any sign of danger but none had been spotted yet. Yet.

He was going to be in the middle of some action, he couldn't focus on his work, not now.

He loads he turns the safety off for his handgun, takes a deep breathe and prepares for what's to come.

@tyrus_: 47 unzipped the jumpsuit, revealing his standard attire and a belt full of weapons. He fired his weapon three times and chucked a nerve gas grenade. 47 turned and dashed away, the door sliding shut, he rushed back to the underbelly of the helicarrier.

Targets three, four, and five: Captain Garrick, Starspeed, and Agent Wilson.

These three are basically mysteries to us. Two of them have speed, so they'll require actual work. Wilson...

47 raised his gun, firing at the STRIKE agent. He next grabbed two gas grenades from his belt, blinding everyone in the room. 47 then found his satchel, assembling the rifle. A silencer was affixed to the barrel. What the two heroes can't hear, they can't catch. Bang, bang, you're dead.

Was going to go after people one by one, but those guys there don't have anything to do unless I engage them and I can't be in two places at once.

@subject47:

Tyrus's battle mapping had anticipated his shot placement the moment he pulled his weapon based on his actions thus far and the type of combatant he seemed to be. She was already moving to block the shots by the time he pulled his trigger for the first time. The first round crashed into her right arm guard and shattered as she blocked the face shot, the second was intercepted by her other arm and she was already side stepping the third shot before it left the gun, resulting in it appearing that she literally dodged a bullet when all she really did was step aside from where his aim was going to put the bullet.

Nerve gas. She determined when the grenade began to activated, she put her arm over her face and activated the ship's internal cleansing system. The gas was quickly sucked into ports built into the floors and walls and ran through a series of filters that scrubbed the nerve toxin from the oxygen molecules before allowing the air to circulate again. Unfortunately by the time all this was done he'd already left. Note to self, blow out his knees.

Tyrus pulled her other pistol and stalked down the corridors of her ship to track down the attempted assassin, now more than a little irritated with the attempt on her life and the lives of her people. The ship promptly informed her of the activation of two gas grenades and a holographic display materialized to show her where the attack was taking place. She activated her roster wide com device. "Tyrus to all personal, there is an assassin loose on this ship. Take out his legs and throw him in a cell, engage on sight."

@tyrus_:

The CIA Headquarters; Lichter's Office

Lichter glanced down at his mobile device, which was vibrating incessantly upon his desk. He stopped typing for a moment, tapping the screen and drinking in the info.

"STRIKE again," he murmured, spinning a quarter-circle in his chair to type in a search query of his own. The feed wasn't live, but it'd seemed as though someone had gone so far as to attack the director herself. He wasn't entirely sure how strong the ties were between the Equalizers, STRIKE, and Langley, but he knew that they were strong enough for him to legally have a feed monitoring any alarm that went off in either team's building. He tapped in a few more keystrokes, requesting authority to use the helicarrier's surveillance cameras to observe the fight. The request would come directly from the CIA server, not any private network; if asked why, he would respond that it was for intelligence purposes. It was their job to handle these affairs, after all.

"He can't be alone, it'd be a suicide mission," he mumbled idly to himself, spindly fingers bringing up the window that would give him the feed...were it authorized by STRIKE, of course.

@lunahawk: (Thanks!)

A silent grin spread over the Legacy's face as the access granted message flashed across his screen, followed by the STRIKE logo. About ten seconds later, and he had full access to the helicarrier's data feed. There would be no illicit activity, of course, for every camera he used would be recorded in their database, but he could still satisfy his curiosity regarding the attack. Long fingers tapped eagerly at the keys, bringing up four separate camera angles of the ongoing battle. One feed was live, and events were proceeding dramatically, but Lichter was more interested in the last five minutes leading up to the encounter.

It seemed as though the assassin had engaged one of the extranormal agents immediately before beginning his assault proper. A short fight had ensued in the lower levels of the carrier, which had apparently ended with the agent leaving by means of teleportation. There had been an explosion, but no remains left behind; presumably, she'd activated the alert moments after evacuating.

Rather than evacuate, as Klaus would've thought more prudent, the bald killer had instead equipped a disguise, seeking to move through the carrier unhindered by emulating the appearance of a STRIKE agent. He'd moved up towards the director's office as the helicarrier went into lockdown around him, placing his gloved hands on what the mainframe referred to as a DNA scanner. But this was not a rogue agent, no...and he'd fooled the scanner with those gloves of his. Fascinated, Klaus paused the video, zooming in on the hands. They looked eerily...skin-like.

No...he didn't...

A bemused smile filled his face, along with a nervous laugh. He didn't know why. It was disgusting, after all.

Savage, he thought, turning up his nose, but still smiling. That poor agent...

After fooling the scanner, he'd attacked the director, but she'd managed to sidestep one of his shots, but endured the first two. Once again fascinated, he pulled up the CIA file on Tyrus. It was relatively sparse, and offered nothing in the field of superhuman statistics...but he'd begin to harbor a suspicion. Who could move like that after taking two rifle rounds to the upper arm?

Just muscle memory, I suppose. Years of training. Effective armor. And yet...

It was worth looking into. Tyrus' incomplete file bothered him, as incomplete things always did. It felt so empty; perhaps he'd request an assignment on the helicarrier.

The assassin fled as Tyrus emptied her office of his gas attack, running directly into a contingent of STRIKE operatives. He'd engaged them as well, releasing smoke grenades from underneath his uniform. They'd obscured the cameras as well, but by directing them to go infrared instead of audio-visual, he could see the heat signature of the assassin assembling his rifle. He did so with impressive speed, even managing to affix a silencer to the end of the rifle before the smoke cleared. He'd made his shots just as one of the STRIKE agents recovered, a white flash of ectoplasmic energy erupting from his fingertips. Another extranormal, no doubt. He began to draw his sword.

Slowing down the feed, Klaus zoomed in to examine the three agents. The extranormals had donned full armor, it seemed, but the other was wearing the typical STRIKE getup, and was armed only with a handgun. Curious, Klaus pulled up his file.

Thomas Wilson. Let's see what there is to see, he said, using his second monitor to analyze the agent.

Six foot six inches tall, two-hundred-and-ten pounds, heterosexual...unaltered homo sapien. Brown eyes, black hair. Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Decent rank, specializes in containment of supernatural phenomena.

He exhaled through his nose. Another sparse file.

We need more information, he thought, spinning his chair back over to the larger monitor, so he could watch the conflict continue. Already, with his third screen, he was running facial-recognition on the assassin, and developing a file of his own.

@lunahawk: Well, if it looks like clothing, he wouldn't know that :)

It's not so much metagaming as metawriting. I'm not giving myself an advantage by knowing she's indestructible, just giving my character the wrong idea. Also, is her whole origin known to anyone? The old CIA agent thing. If I had Lichter dig deep enough, I could have him find that stuff out, but only if you're alright with it. Is it in STRIKE's base files, or is it encrypted? He can only view the general files that the CIA would have access to, and STRIKE can see his file history.

No problem =).

The only accessible information on her is her original CIA file and her incomplete 'public' STRIKE file. The real file that contains all the juicy secret information is extremely will encrypted and on the STRIKE carrier.

Of course her original CIA file ends with saying she died in Syria, so that should be fun for him. It also contains her original name. She has no idea what her life was before STRIKE.

One of the agents somehow found 47 through the gas and fired in his directions, 47's attacks bouncing off of him, but Garricks attacks hit 47 in three places, one in the leg, one in the shoulder, and one scraping his neck. The others slammed into his chest, which was covered by Kevlar armor, but he landed on his back, bruises already forming. He spat up blood. "Shit." 47 dumped the gun, raising his gun at hip level and limping out of the room. The helicarrier has four engines, but taking out two on the same side would send it spiraling downwards. The only problem was, 47 had no disguise, was bleeding out quickly, and everyone on the ship was looking for him. 47 leaned against the corridor. One of the personnel came rushing past, holding a huge rifle, and he stopped short when he saw 47. 47 raised the butt of his gun, smacking him in the face, but the other man shoved 47 against the wall, raising the gun and firing at his legs. 47 moved fast, but, no faster than any human. Another bullet hit a bone, taking it out. 47 didn't scream. But the STRIKE soldier did. Using the rifle as a crutch, he limped to the engine, removing a few explosives from his belt and another detonator. Laying the squares of C-4 on the control panels and turbines themselves, he moved on, but collapsed, before he could move on. Leaning against the wall, he raised the pistol weakly and clutching the detonator like a lifeline. Waiting.

My, my, he thought, watching the assassin go down under a hail of bullets. The fight was over, but the agent wasn't yet under their control. He'd been shot several times, and Klaus could see bloodstains adorning his uniform. Still, the persistent attacker marched on, leaning against a corridor, trying his best to escape.

They have him now for sure, he thought, even as a panicked agent was brought down by the wounded assassin. Lichter whistled. During the recent clash, the would-be killer had taken another shot, this time in the leg. The STRIKE operative had been knocked out with a single blow. Soundlessly, using the rifle to prop himself up, the infiltrator had moved on, bringing out the remainder of his armament from his belt.

Explosives. What good will those do him now? Does he hope to negotiate his way out of this? he wondered, zooming in on the man's face. Was he a metahuman? It was certainly possible. Either that, or he was using medication to bolster his endurance to beyond-ordinary levels. Still, he'd been taken down, collapsing against a wall. He had that detonator, though, and a pistol. There'd likely be no escape for him, but it would be preferable for him to be captured alive. He didn't look like the sort to have his own personal agenda against STRIKE...who would've hired such an assassin? Was this a move of opportunity? What was his exit strategy?

Perhaps his assignment had changed once he'd arrived. He seemed geared for infiltration, not assault. His employers would pay the price, that much was certain. Fingers tented for but a moment, Klaus spun back to his other computer, inspecting the facial recognition software.

Nothing. Could he be government? Impossible. Private corporation? More likely.

Rubbing his chin, he pondered the origin of the mysterious, ill-equipped assassin. If he had hoped to take on STRIKE alone, he was a fool...and there were few fools in their line of work. Either this was a diversion, or he was not alone. Interesting.

Spinning back over to the feed, Klaus watched with renewed interest, making more notes as the conflict escalated.

Tyrus walked out onto the deck and found him against a wall. She holstered one of her pistols as her mind began mapping all possible battle scenarios while she stood about five feet away from him. "You should have come for me first, when you fire a gun on this carrier it sets off an alarm in my office, it gave me time to anticipate you and what your moves might be when you arrived. I'll give you credit for bravery and reasonable tactical planning, though it seems to have devolved on you. So what's the game plan now? You can shoot at me if you like but your odds of landing a successful hit against me are greatly diminished. Your only options are to shoot for a rather small area and that makes the task of plotting your shots ahead of time much simpler. So...what now?"

He watched as the director holstered her pistol, walking up to the would-be assassin to engage him in conversation. Exasperated, he threw his hands up in the air.

"Shoot him!" he yelled, kicking away from the desk. Looking around behind his back to make sure he wasn't heard, he scooted back up to the monitor, putting his hands on top of his head.

Your plan may have fallen apart around you but there's nothing wrong with that given what you're up against. You know our profiles I imagine, you know who is waiting in that carrier. Now that we know you're here you'll never stand a chance. I don't want to kill you, look at where your wounds are, I never gave a kill order. What I want is to know why you came here. I also want to give you a job."

Well, this smacks of familiarity, thought Klaus, listening to the audio recording kick in. Is this how everyone gets hired?

Looking up at the screen, he turned to the side, re-opening the empty file on the assassin, and labeling him under STRIKE. He hadn't accepted yet, but Klaus had a feeling he would. It was that or death, after all, and this man didn't strike him as an extremist.

@tyrus_: "Are... are you kidding? I shot one of your agents and tried to kill four more, succeeding once. What makes you think they'll trust me? Besides, my current boss has a fair amount of... pull over me. Poised between frying pan and fire... I choose fire. Screw off."

47 squeezed the trigger.

Fire erupted from the engine.

47 falls into the sky. Blood trailing from his wounds.

With one single pull of the trigger, Klaus lost the feed. Startled, he rolled a few feet backwards, grabbing the edge of the desk and pulling himself back to the computer. Rapidly tapping on the keyboard, he brought up several new camera angles, several surveying the damage to the carrier, and a few others looking underneath. Wresting control of the angles away from STRIKE, he used his connection to scan the area for any sign of the assassin.

Not so keen on self-preservation after all, he thought, equal parts bewildered and impressed. What a fool.

@subject47: @tyrus_:

"I've got him!" Garrick said diving out the carrier after 47. He went to grab him and keep him still while activating his jetpack to bring him back up.

@subject47:

The problem with Tyrant thinking was it approached everything from a very ordered and logical direction. Her battle mapping discarded the idea of his detonating the C4 long before he ever pushed the button. Listening and watching his body language she brought her arms up to cover her face as quickly as she could. The explosion lifted her off of her feet and sent her flying backwards. She hit the deck, bounced once and then rolled. For a moment Tyrus lay still but she slowly put a hand against the deck and pushed herself up off of the plating. Her exposed face had been protected from the explosion and fire by the steel-vibranium arm coverings, it had not been a move made out of some innate vanity but to protect the one unarmored area of her body.

Tyrus coughed, a little blood splattering on the deck. She shook her head to clear it and forced herself to her feet. Her armored clothing was cut in several places from shrapnel that had been thrown at excessive speeds. The cuts were bleeding but much worse damage had been prevented by what appeared to be simple clothing. She brushed herself off a little and removed some of the pieces stuck into the clothing. Her arms should have broken, many of her bones should have broken but her enhanced skeletal structure only suffered bruising. Damn it.

"Good thing we have a doctor now." Internal structure and reinforced musculature were all well and good but they didn't provide a lot of extra cushion for organs and she was certain there was some level of internal bleeding that would need to be taken care of.

@captain_garrick: There's no point now, but 47 got a few shots off at you guys and you basically ignored it. Then I hard-core sold your attacks and it led to 47 dying.

I don't think your character needs to die unless that's just what you want to happen.

@tyrus_: It wasn't my original plan, but I think it's an interesting way of ending this without straight up rage-quitting.
