Special Tactics Recon Infiltration Kill Enforcement Team
Special Tactics Recon Infiltration Kill Enforcement Team

In a perfect world STRIKE represents fear, omnipotence and fanatical control over the community. In a perfect world STRIKE represents the big brother, lack of freedom and punishment; this however is not a perfect world.

Forged in a world that lacks a vigilant hero presence, as well as a solid human front; The Special Tactics Recon Infiltration Kill Enforcement Team adhere to the motto “For the greater good” More than just a team, they are a family that will defend each other and fight for what is right. They are a group of humans and heroes who know that being a hero is more than just theatrics, they will protect the innocent and fight the evil that plagues these lands.

Fort Acadamia

No Caption Provided

The Official ground command HQ for S.T.R.I.K.E. rest in the German Bavarian Alps. It is the Central Command Center for all operations, and serves as the primary training center for all would-be agents.

Having been cleared by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization; to maintain the peace within the NATO protectorate, STRIKE recruits come from across the world to protect and serve. With an area is 1,700 square miles, Fort Acadamia is the largest of all S.T.R.I.K.E establishments providing a 1,500 square mile of restricted air space for Air Defense Missiles. Because the area is so massive, the German populace is welcomed to trek through the unrestricted areas of the base (pending German Citizenship clearance) The Base breaks down into several small areas which assist operations in planning and personnel movement. The Main Office of the Fort is actually an air vessel which will allow the key opertives to flee in time of need.

Hollins Training Complex

No Caption Provided

Named for Commander Stacy Hollins, The Hollins Training Complex is the initial traning ground for new recruits. At the Hollins Training Complex Recruits learn basic marksman skills, survival skills and rudimentary First Aid Skills.

The primary trainers for new recruits at Hollins are Agents with level 5- 6 Clearance. After recruits have passed the initial phase they are forced into more advanced situations with real-life implications (Such as Spy Missions). In the advanced stage STRIKE Agents are taught how to employ tactics to neutralize a target, how to infiltrate, how to kill and how to enforce the law. They are also taught more complex situations such as neutralizing a threat in the air.

After graduating from the Hollins Training Complex, Agents are given a level 1 clearance and are released to their respective STRIKE post.

Tyrus Airfield

Named for Former S.T.R.I.K.E Director Tyrus, The Tyrus airfield is home to over 300 F-22 Raptors, which sole purpose is to protect the area around the Fort. The Tyrus Airfield is also home to STRIKE's air-defense system, which employs powerful deterrant missiles to neutralize aerial threats. The Airfield also serves as a "parking" area for several medical, attack and utility helicopters that normally sit along the STRIKE hellicarrier.

Unlike the Hollins Training Complex, those brought into the Tyrus Airfield are brought in for their expertise in aerodynamics. They airfield are equipped with aircraft mechcanics and technicians that ensure safe flight of all S.T.R.I.K.E pilots.

Cato Outpost

No Caption Provided

Cato Outpost is a STRIKE Blackout site composed of level 10 Agents that specialize in Infiltration and Killing. There tactics are not in accordinance with any STRIKE Law or Decree and most senior leadership have no knowledge of their existence. These STRIKE members have served under a number of regimes and support the entity of STRIKE rather than the "Body" meaning, they often find themselves at odds with their own STRIKE agents. The Agents in Cato Outpost have no clearance level within the actual STRIKE organization, nor are they listed in STRIKE's database. They routinely practice torture interrogation techniques and missions in illegal parts of the world. Cato Outpost Agents will do anything to preseve the STRIKE name.

Clearance

STRIKE clearance is measure in levels from 0-10. 0 Being Agents that are in training at Hollins

and otherwise have no rights within the STRIKE Organization.

Level 1-4 Agents: Are Recent Graduates who have access to STRIKE facilities and post, but aren't able to access the secret information. They are the bulk of the STRIKE Organization regardless of occupation.

Level 5-7 STRIKE Agents that have secret clearance to classified information, and are often involved in the executing of Operations. Levels 5-6 are often used as trainers at Hollins Training Complex.

Levels 8-9 These are the most respected members of the organization, many come from different countries and actively plan operations and assignments. They have the authority to move entire STRIKE units.

Ruby Gallagher

No Caption Provided

Ruby is the "Commander" of STRIKE, a title that was once called "Director" during hers and Tyrus' Initial stints. As the Commander, Ruby is the only known level 10 Agent and has the Authority to override any plan of action of those under her. She is a long time CIA/FBI Opertive that rose to the leader of STRIKE. Thanks to Former President Stark, she was able to finance and reform STRIKE.

@embargo: (OOC: Make sure you read the CVU bio not the cvnu one if you do read it.)

Enrico looked at the information he had brought together. He had been thinking of joining up with other heroes, or otherwise people who could enact action against evil, for some time now. But he couldn't be sure who. Of course no one yet knew of his identity, and even now the Watchman was not very well known aside from a few gangs, criminals, and corrupt people he had caused trouble for.

He had gone over how this should go several dozen times in his head and on paper, he intended on being straightforward about his intentions and not delaying his point very long. He didn't intend on showing his face or revealing his real identity right now, although he left that up for consideration if they convinced him otherwise. He did however intend on explaining that he was the Watchman and that he intended on furthering his exploits against villainy, aiding STRIKE and getting aid from STRIKE would be a great assistance in this matter.

No Caption Provided

He walked in his Watchman outfit right up towards them, his mask manipulated the light around it forming a rather inkblot like face.

"I would like to speak about allying myself with STRIKE." He said in a somewhat distorted voice and an accent. Just in case he had Algor studying the algorithms of everything he saw to predict possible hostility. He was unsure what their reaction would be though curiosity was among the probabilities.

I really hate snow.Wait, no, snow is kind of nice, soft and white and fluffy. It's the cold. Why does the base have to be in the mountains anyway? Why didn't I just appear in the base like I planned to. What was that advice? Don't appear there because they might have some sort of anti-timesiphon alarm and will panic if you just magically appear?

Pandorika grinned to herself and stood up, walking down the slope towards the base. Admittedly it wasn't as cold up here as it could be or would be in other mountain regions. I just don't think Time Siphons are built for the cold. She continued down the slope until she walked out onto the tarmac of Tyrus Airfield where she was immediately approached by patrolling guards.

"Hi boys! I'm Pandorika and I'm here to join, all the paper work's already been done though so we can just go right there and I can get settled in and meet everyone, I hope."

The list of new agents continued to grow, most coming from the German, French and Polish Borders; which was a legitimate area of concern for the director seeing as the majority of her staffers were American.

Fort Academia, it was Ruby's vision financed by one swipe of Anthony Stark's Credit Card. This post completly evolved STRIKE from the tactics it used to employ, allowing them to attack by ground and by air.

"Commander Gallagher?" One of the Agents called out drawing her attention to the comm chatter on the Tyrus Airfield. "Apparently, she's here to join STRIKE Ma'am" Ruby said, nothing instead her intense eyes moved across the room to another Agent who managed to stop another Intruder. This one was clearly a man, while the first was female--alien.

"Send them both to the conference room, I'll meet with them momentarily."

@pandorika: @embargo:

Look at that. They actually let me in. I mean I figured they might, but still. Enrico thought as he watched them carefully and walked into the conference room observing it.

Algor's words appeared on his lenses so only he could see them.

Total danger probability: %20

Probability of mortal attacks from STRIKE: %1

Probability of incapacitation attacks from STRIKE: %12

Probability of outside attacks: %7

Chance of surviving and/or escaping attacks from STRIKE: %75

Chance of surviving and/or escaping attack from outside variable: %95

Preparatory actions are advised but not required.

The current leader of STRIKE has shown no superhuman capabilities but likely has a high intelligence and skill.

I do not advise the utilization of your powers without special circumstances.

Avoid taking offensive against STRIKE, defensive or evasive is a better strategy.

The information was quickly read and examined by Warthen as he looked around the room still standing and with his hands placed in his coats pockets one of them using his phone to continue communication with Algor using simple binary to give them an easy and less detectible communication to function most efficiently.

"I guess we'll see where this leads won't we?" He said aloud to no one in particular.

Pandorika plopped down into a random chair once they were in the conference room and leaned back in the seat like she owned it, tossing the hood of her coat back off of her head in the process. "This is so cool, I haven't worked with other people in positively ages. At least a year since...well..since everyone I was working with kind of vanished." She told the random guards that had escorted her there. She reached down and ruffled around in her pocket until she produced some actual pieces of paper and placed them on the conference table.

"Paperwork makes the world go round." She said with a grin.

“...Keep in mind that you need to keep your momentum going and manage it properly...”, Joseph nonchalantly explained to his assigned group of trainees while graciously traversing through an obstacle course set up with olympic accordance. “...in order to make your locomotion as fluid as possible.”, added he while monkeying towards the highbar with artistic execution and eventually transferring his quantative motion into a quadruple flip.

Perfectly landing with a mitigated thud, he turned around to the predominantly female squadron of newbies. “Got that?”, Rossum asked while darting his vision between the girls. It was obvious from their faces that they weren't focusing on the lecture as much as they were on the lector.

He voiced his frustration with a deep sigh before picking up his towel and resting it over his well-defined shoulder. “Mizu no yo ni nagare.”, quoting Bruce Lee under his breath, Rossum took a sip of water from a bottle before crossing his arms and facing the class head on.

“Now Agent Blazkowiczova, you're up. Show the rest of the class how it's done.”

"Well it's kinda the only place I could track down and I didn't want to just, you know, appear." Pandorika said with a smile. She stood respectfully. "Hi, I'm Pandorika, I'm the granddaughter of Raeyn. I'm half Time Siphon on my mother's side." She said in full disclosure. "I was the apprentice to Last Guardian before he disappeared because I can use The Force and my mother didn't want me to grow up any longer around her people and their 'bad influences'" She added, complete with air quotes at the end. "Raeyn thinks I should join STRIKE because she was in STRIKE and she says its a good place to learn how to better protect people and work with other heroes."

She pushed her paperwork across the table towards the Director. "I have all my paperwork here, identification papers and everything...I even brought my Time Siphon identification but you might not be able to read that unless you can read temporal energy."

Biometric scans would confirm her story about serving with The Last Guardian, including a series of actions against some force wielding aliens in California almost a year ago. Pandorika doesn't have a single crime against her name.

@pandorika: @embargo:

Warthen knew his identity should be safe thanks to his mask which distorted scanning, and to his knowledge he had never been scanned anywhere else before. However if STRIKE had previously had some record of some mass scanning in which he was in his mask wouldn't be enough to hide his identity. Which was a bit odd in itself, since he was actually a merge of two dimensions his very history was sort of missing. He had been to a school in both with multiple degrees but much else was sort of either unconfirmable or entirely gone.

"My explanation isn't as interesting as that." Enrico started noting down what the alien had said, "I presently am not sure I want to give away my actual name but here is what I can tell you. I have a significant intellect, even if that sounds pridefull, and I chose to go against villainy as the Watchmen. I have a past which doesn't make entire sense even to me as I think i crossed dimensions and merged somehow. I have been ineffecient so I figured it would be best to join up with an orginization that has a history with fighting evil. I don't want to be useless. I need to get things done."

Some words from Algor moved across his vision as the advanced AI gave him some extra advice:

'Probability of disbelief and suspicion as at %80.

Due to your specific situation I'd advise considering examining this particular woman and offer giving her your name but only if the other agents leave, should she prove to be safe enough.'

Taking heed of Algor he added, "How good can you keep a secret of my name if I had to give it to you? I would need the others to leave for sure and I would have to simply show it to you so it wasn't otherwise detected." As he would say this he and Algor would examine her in every way they had to know, probably, if she was trustworthy or capable. Of course they had their limits but they had a high success rate with methods such as this, especially when both of them were doing it.

(Ooc: I did this on my phone so it may not be too good.)

The name Raeyn, she was very familiar with it. That was the very first Time Siphon Ruby came into contact with; she helped STRIKE during the cataclsym during Ruby's first tensure as "Director" As her eyes briefly ran through the plethora of documents verifying Pandorika's story, Agent Norfleet confirmed biometries through her earpiece.

One thing that stood out like a sore thumb was that Pandorika was a Time Siphon, and from what she remembered Raeyn often felt victim to urges. "I trust that your need to nibble on Temporal Lines has been addressed before you decided to come here?" She asked with a curious brow before turning her attention toward the enigma, who simply reffered to himself as The Watchmen.

She nearly scoff at the notion of him being from another dimension--They were in the presence of an alien; everything was possible at this point. "If your name is THAT important to you, keep it. It's not really useful seeing as your own history is distorted." She said, giving a nod to the two agents standing at her flanks.

"You will both be given an extensive Psychological Evals, Along with Physical Fitness and Medical Screenings. Judging from the both of your stories, most will prove to be inconclusive; but it's protocol.

Pandorika shook her head. "Fun fact, as a half Time Siphon, I don't suffer from the starvation curse and I can eat regular food or just not eat at all. I can consume time but I feel no compulsion to, so I'm perfectly safe to have around. Sort of like a safety pin." She smiled. "I'm perfectly fine with tests, whatever you need to do to determine I'm an ok person to have on the team and helping out I'll gladly do for you." The half-breed added.

“Hm?”, Joseph mused for a spell before turning towards his superior. He wandered into her proximity before stopping to briefly stand at attention. “Of course, commander.”, he replied plainly. The only thing that currently preoccupied him were the thoughts of making his course harder for the class of trainees anyway, nothing terribly important.

The way he appeared would seem almost otherworldly to the duo of equally anomalous arrivals (@pandorika: @mr_warthen:) despite the fact that he has been standing by the watercooler in plain view. Moreover when looking at his face they would only see a vague spiral, swirling away any of his facial features. Courtesy of his Dolos Implant inside his head.

S.T.R.I.K.E. Tech Department labeled it 'cutting edge mind erosion technology' but it was much more than that. It was misdirection incarnate, capable of distorting both metahuman senses and advanced telemetric identification systems. Leaving his face visible only to a list of verified individuals, such as his upper echelon and Commander Gallagher.

He glanced towards the two and didn't seem particularly impressed, or atleast did so as much as a swirling facial void could. “New grunts on site?”, a rhetoric question to his superior more than anything.

@pandorika: @embargo: @rossum:

"That's good with me." He said smiling beneath the mask.

Well the suspicion wasn't as much as me or Algor expected. We'll have to reevaluate her personality type. Plus, look at that, a human and alien! Guess I wasn't really focused on anything else I was just worried about what I would do. I should fix that.

He looked at Pandorika for a moment then at the man that the man who the director spoke to. His face was distorted into a spiral, odd, also amusing when Enrico considered he used distortion to hide his identity as well. Though this level was a bit different. And even a little disturbing, but fascinating.

Algor's words moved across his eyes again:

"Reevaluation of present company has been made.

Director of STRIKE posseses %50 less suspicion than previosuly assumed. Likely due to previous experience with abnormal entities.

Pandorika has a %95 probability of high levels of power and only an %8 chance of backstabbing.

Rossum has a %70 chance of being skilled in multiple forms of combat as well as intelligence and/or scientific or mathematical knowledge. Backstabbing probability is indecisive due to lack of information."

"So what shall we do first?" He asked hoping to get started soon.

Next you'll undergo an extensive Psyche Eval which will detail specifc points and times to gauge what situations you guys will be ideal for"

Rossum closed his left eye and scratched the back of his head in thought. He wasn't exactly comfortable about decision making even worse when it involved two variables such as these. “With all due respect, commander. I don't think I'm the most qualified person for this.”, he answered and then glanced over the duo. With his all-seeing eye, he dissected their very existence into digestible bits that his mind could process. Postural weaknesses, weight distribution, race, forementioned powers.

“Hmm...”, musing, he briefly put his chin into the cup of hand and left his eyes wander about the possibilities. “We don't have a legitimate way to measure metahuman powers on Academia anyway. But, we do still have access to the files of STRIKE's previous incarnation, don't we? We could send these two on a scavanger assignment in the woods, use the perimeter scanners to analyze them in action and then compare the results with previous personnel files.”, he proposed to Ruby. It was a patchwork idea, but considering that the current metahuman population on site was in single digits then the previous STRIKE teams, all diverse in powersets and well documented, could provide a quantifiable basis for an improvised power scale measuring system.

"Ok, I don't think I've had a psychological evaluation before, at least by anyone else. Might be interesting." He thought aloud walking towards the doors.

Algor's words flashed across his eyes again:

You told me to warn you if you got to comfortable or willing to comply. Well you're getting to comfortable and willing to comply, pay more attention to your surroundings and the people present or you'll make a mistake.

Although the probability of them of setting a trap for you has greatly decreased. I would advise also having some more interaction with the other new recruit, assuming it is in fact a new recruit and not meant to test you. In either case, it is advised. This will likely mold your future personality as the Watchmen so choose your words carefully.

Dang it's right. I need to stop being so trusting of people. I know they should be fine and all but I still need to be careful. I just so naturally assume people are fine. He thought.

@embargo:

STRIKE HQ

Alistair Kasdan had finally been sent on his first assignment since his recovery. For two entire weeks, he'd sat in quarantine, stroking his chin as he read the books he'd been provided. Throughout the second week he'd been allotted time on the internet, so as to catch up on the last twenty seven years of history. He'd been the only survivor of a top-secret mission in the Middle East, one that had carried him into another world; the only survivor, he'd been dragged back to civilization, half-sane, by a man who called himself the Architect. He'd later learn that his true name was Klaus von Lichter.

Mister Lichter had been an accommodating host, with regards to returning him to civilization. He'd concluded that the parasite currently living in Alistair's body posed no harm to him or the outside world, something Kasdan had corroborated. He'd existed for untold years with the array of cord-like appendages in his body, capable of summoning them at a moment's notice. He had no need to eat, or exercise, though he still did both of those things; he had no need for a job, either, for he'd been declared killed in action all those years ago.

And so, he'd settled on working for his rescuer, a man of science himself. The potential work he'd been offered, in all the ways the world had changed, was fascinating. To analyze and dissect other life-forms, to perform life-saving surgery on creatures of other worlds; it was mind-boggling. He'd been told they operated in secret, as was necessary. While he'd chosen to side with Klaus on the many issues of the world, they both recognized the potential good which might arise with allying Kasdan with other, more proactive organizations.

And thus, as a representative of none other but himself, Kasdan had walked calmly into the facility in the Bavarian Alps, appreciating the relative proximity to Lichter's own Swiss fortress. He wore a pair of black pants and a tactical vest over a dark shirt, surrendering his side-arm to the guards at their request. He trusted Lichter had scheduled a meeting, though he suspected he would have done so anonymously. Regardless of the informal circumstance of his arrival, he had a means of identifying himself which he knew would grant him a meeting, at the very least. He wore a pair of shades, so as to conceal his yellowing eyes. While he'd identified himself by name, informing the desk that he'd come up deceased, as well as declaring his metahuman status from the get-go to avoid conflict, he had no desire to frighten anyone who saw his irises.

But how did he know he'd be able to meet with someone in a position of authority, and on such short notice? The message that had been sent anonymously read as follows:

I am an associate of ex-Director Tyrus. She requested, off the books, that one of my agents represent her on the new team. His name is Kasdan.

If you want proof, he can tell you Tyrus' true name.

"Commander" Norfleet's voice broke her concentration, turning to meet the Ebony Executive Officer, Ruby could tell the interruption was dire. "Ma'am you have two visitors of the important type. I'll take care of things here. You need to go" Ruby nodded and departed immediatly allowing for Agent Norfleet to take charge of the integration.

"Hello my name is, Trisha Norfleet. I am the Executive Officer under Commander Ruby, I'll be overseeing your Psyche Eval. Rossum, that's a good idea, but I'm going to do one better. Agent Barnes?"

Moving to the left Agent Barnes appeared with nodes that appeared to be suction cups. "Because this test is designed for humans, we'll have to up the ante just a little bit. You guys will be in the woods. We'll attach these nodes to you, and what will happen is your worst memory will be replicated. We won't see the memory, but you will. It's simple after that...make it through and you pass."

Norfleet explained, as Barnes passed out the nodes. Norfleet's eyes discreetly moved to Rossum before cutting back to the new agents, Barnes managed to see before giving a side eye roll.

"We can't tell you what you're being graded on, only that you are being graded. Rossum will serve as a safety, just in case things get intense. You'll be the one to tell us when it's too much" Barnes explained

Warthen paused for a moment, thinking it over. Worst memory? Well, I guess that for me the worst thing that's happened is some social anxiety matters. I haven't gone through very much in terms that might be useful to them.

Algor's words appeared on his eyes again:

Watchman. As far as you have told me you do not possess any memories that caused any notable changes in your life. According to your own examination it's mostly anxiety attacks from social situations, which were stress related not actually emotional pain.

If they are to analyze your response to social anxiety, but can't study what actually occurred, the evaluation may prove insufficient. In addition, you already know what the probability is of what you will see, meaning you can prepare yourself sufficiently even if it is merely your subconscious taking preemptive defenses for it.

Yeah I guess that's true. I should probably tell them.

"We may have a problem there." Enrico said, "The worst I've experienced is a social anxiety attack caused by multiple occurrences, as far as I'm aware of. I'm not quite sure if you can properly evaluate what you require from that information."

Not to mention that wasn't exactly pleasant. But like Algor mentioned, I've practically started preparing myself already whether I meant to or not. So if they're just returning me to a situation I figured out how to handle already, will it actually give them what they need?

@rossum: @pandorika: @embargo:

"I even promise to cheat only as much as necessary to win."

Fortunately for Rossum the Dolos implant concealed the huge cringing smile that overcame his features, contorting his Adonisian features into the spitting likeness of Honey Boo Boo for the moment. “Greeeaaaat...”, he forcefully replied to the Time-Siphon's uncalled reassurance all slow and unsure-like. 'Way to inconspicuously reveal a chip on your shoulder, Calamari Kid.', he thought while relaxing his mimetic musculature.

"Rossum, that's a good idea, but I'm going to do one better."

'Puh--lease, call me Joey.', The Gothi City Golden Boy further noted after Norfleet made her appearance on the scene but made sure not to express it externally. He's seen her around. She was a STRIKE Command data analytic and a reason to doubt the strict no coworker relationship protocols. “I did say that I wasn't the most qualified.”, Rossum jested before assuming his former pedagogical objectivity and with it grasped the reins of his immense observation skill. “Of course, Agent Norfleet.”, confirming his participation and taking the testing apparatus he reassigned his attention to the two candidates.

He wasn't particularly trusting of either of them. Especially this 'The Watchmen' individual. Compared to aliens, the machinations of men were subtle and refined. Afterall, all great civilizations were built on deceit and the sheer fact that he refused to provide his identity during the 'job interview' meant he had something to hide. Not what one would call a great sale's pitch.

Not to mention the fact that not unlike Rossum he was evidently scanning and evaluating his surroundings. The brief, normally undetectable pauses that he took to process this information combined with his awkward head movement was what revealed this. 'Oh, another excuse. How surprising.'

“You'll be thrown into a raging sea of emotion no matter what the context of your memory is.”, Rossum explained but switched the suspicious inflection for one of frustration. “That's how bad memories work, they are negatively distorted because of the captured emotion. If this is your worst memory then it's more than likely that you haven't made peace with it. That's what we're measuring here, your ability to operate under stress. Besides the imagery provided by the memory will also help us determine your strengths and weaknesses.”, he clutched nodes Barness handed out and looked Watchmen in his eyes before shoving the device into his hands.

“Now stop being a p***y or I'll plug you into such a shitstorm you'll start wetting your bed again.”
