The city that was once said to be the silver lining in even your darkest of days is none other than Silverline City. The city once flourishes with the balance of both small and big businesses. People throughout the city suffered no financial struggles and all seemed to be good. For the majority of its existence, Silverline city was a prosperous city that was booming in its economic growth. Silverline city was once only along the northern part of the city, North of the River. However, in its sister city below it, Goldline City, wasn't doing well. Crime rates in Goldine were rising due to the lack of businesses and job opportunities due to the lack of businesses. The County leaders of the two cities came together and forced Silverline City, with its booming economy, to have Goldline City merge with it, causing both cities to be known as Silverline City. Silverline city's merger allowed the cityโ€™s economy to be balanced out from its northern and southern parts merging as one. The bridges and trains were created over Goldline River (Named in remembrance of Goldline city) as not just a symbol of the merger of the two but this allowed citizens from both cities to flourish and allow its economy to once more rebuild and grow. The city was again flourishing.

This wouldn't last. Within the last five years, the population had increased dramatically. Many of the new city residents are those who come from cities that have been reduced to ashes from terrorist attacks or just overran with chaos. The fall of Grimm City caused the first huge wave of increase in population along with the several attacks on New YorkCity,Gothic City, and Valor City. The city is now heavy in population and unemployment rates have tripled within the last five years because of it. Because of this, crime rates have also increased. This caused many of the small business owners in Southern Silverline to shut down their shops due to the robberies that were going on. Because of this, a domino effect has been happening with shops closing, causing higher unemployment rates which causes the crime rates to go higher. This forces people to now have to travel across the Goldline River for work and to even do shopping for some basic necessities. Really the only big businesses in Southern Silverline that have been able to sustain themselves are bars and strip clubs with a few liquor stores throughout the area.

Residents are not ignorant to the evils of the world but have found some peace in Silverline City in comparison to the cities they once lived in. โ€œIt could be worseโ€ comes from many of the mouths of the residents who have seen much worse in their time. But since the destruction and attacks of the other cities, many villains are beginning to spill into Silverline City, trying to make a name for themselves.

โ„‚๐•ฃ๐•š๐•ก๐•ก๐•๐•š๐•Ÿ๐•˜ ๐•–๐•”๐• ๐•Ÿ๐• ๐•ž๐•ช

Goldline River is the body of water that runs through the city, dividing it. There are six bridges and three trains that run over the river and allow people to cross it daily. Traffic is always bad in the mornings and evenings. There are a few ferries available for those who wish to cross the river by boat which is mostly used by tourist who still dare to adventure to Silverline City. The Goldline River is said to be the big divide in the city's economy as businesses that are still left thriving in Silverline are all found in the Northern part of Goldline River. The wealthy live in Northern Silverline while the poor are left fending themselves in Southern Silverline.

The Police are always hard at work in the city trying to keep crime rates as low as they can. But even then the growing chaos in the city is becoming more and more difficult for them to control and with the city growing in population daily, itโ€™s becoming more clear that more help is needed. However, because of the strain the population increase has had on the city, they have not been able to get a budget increase to compensate for the city's growth. However, because of this, they are unable to compensate for the increase in population.

Public transportation is a big way of getting around Silverline City. About 61% of the city population takes public transportation. There is a train that runs around the city on the surface with a subway underground as well. City buses, taxies and other transport businesses flourish in the city. This is because of the lack of car owners in the city due to the unemployment rate. Most of the city citizens cannot afford a car. There are also rentable motorized bikes and scooters throughout the city that are for the public to use if they wish to. However, those are only allowed to be used in Northern Silverline City. Any of those brought over to Southern Goldline will be arrested for stealing of city property.

Silver Park and Sunny Park are two large parks located North of the city's Goldline River that goes through the city. Both parks are roughly 600 acres and are open to the public for anyone to use. Southern Silverline does have some parks scattered along the area that are significantly smaller than the two in Southern Silverline. Unfortunately, those parks are not kept like those in Northern Silverline.

Silverland Harbor is one of the most popular sports in the city, The Big Bay is home to a plethora of activities and things to do. Silverland Harbor is also a big part of the cities economic growth with it giving the permit for the transfer of cargo and passengers between ships and the shore. There are shops along the harbor as well that are found on the northern part of Silverline while the southern part is for the incoming of cargo ships and fishing ships. Along the harbor, there is also the Seal Tour that gives tours of the native seals in the area.

A fist collided into the robbers face causing his head to snap back, blood flowing from his nose like a river as a sudden kick sent him flying back into a wall. His body then fell forward, flat on the cold tile floor as a dark figure with piercing white glowing eyes stood above him. โ€œIf you think about touching this store again, Iโ€™ll rip your spleen from your body. Do you understand?โ€ The voice hissed through the darkness.

โ€œYe-sh.โ€ The man spoke as he struggled to stand, blood flowing from between his fingers as he tried to stop the bleeding by pressing his hand against his face.

โ€œGood.โ€ A final punch to his face sent him back to the ground, knocked out cold as his face began to make a pool of blood on the white tiled floor. Walking into the dimly lit room the figure was a woman, six feet tall dressed in a black armor like outfit with a crimson symbol upon her chest, one that was similar to the symbol of an old hero once found in New York. Her crimson hair draped around her face that was covered with a onyx black mask. The white lenses of her mask glared down at the thief as she reached down and grasped the man at the collar of his jacket, dragging him out with streaks of crimson being left on the ground behind them.

The doors of the last of the local bakery of Southern Silverline city burst open as the Savior of Silverline city threw the unconscious thief into the middle of the frigid streets. The heat from her breath escaped her lips as the frosted winter air brought it to life. It was the New Year and with it brought on new thugs that would try their luck in crime. But no, not on her watch, not tonight.

<Mistress, I believe it is time to come home.>

No Caption Provided

Good old Ozzy, keeping track of her nightly patrols. What would she do without him? โ€œHmm... you think so? Already?โ€ Red Revenge looked towards the windows of the apartments that were before her to see several citizens of the broken city could be seen peeking through, trying to catch a glimpse of the Crimson Crusader. โ€œIโ€™ll be there in a moment.โ€ Pressing a button on her wrist she took a few steps forward towards the apartments. โ€œI leave this thief for you to do to him what you see fit. The police wonโ€™t be here to pick him up, theyโ€™re all busy on the other side of the river.โ€ With that a revving of an engine could be heard as the Revenge Cycle could be seen driving up to her automatically. โ€œTake it into your own hands.โ€ Getting on the motorcycle she gave a last look to the thief before driving off into the darkness of the city.

Becca had been living in Silverline city for the last five years, but it had been one year exactly since Red Revenge was brought back to life after years of being absent. The city was still sh!t but it was just a little less sh!tty since Becca dawned the mask once more. But she learned quickly that the police wouldnโ€™t be involved. Not because they were being paid off or lazy it was because there wasnโ€™t enough of them to keep up with the basics of everyday things, let alone picking up criminals she takes down. So she has been leaving the more minor criminals in the citizens of Silverline City, allowing them to do what they wish with the criminal. Sometimes they drag the bodies to the police station themselves, sometimes they beat the criminal into a pulp, sometimes they just let them go, but it was their form of justice.

But what caused her to take up the mask once more was what happened a year ago today. Her best friend was attacked in her own home. Shot and left to die. If Becca hadnโ€™t walked in to celebrate the official opening of her business building and found her, she would have died. It was that night that Becca found herself standing before the uniform and without question, put it on and sought Revenge on the man that shot her. It took her a day, but she found him, and beat him into a pulp and left him bleeding just as he had left her. Did he survive? She doesnโ€™t know. But she does know if he did, he would still be going through physician therapy.

Now sitting in her home Becca let out an exhausted sigh as Ozzy came in with a cup of tea. She hated tea. โ€œHere you go Ms. Becca.โ€ Ozzy handed her the tea cup as the redhead gave a faint smile and nod as she took the tea. Ozzy was the same man who helped train her as well during her time with Black Virtue, back when Red Revenge was first created. It was a darker time in her life. If it wouldnโ€™t have been for Black Virtue and Ozzyโ€ฆ Becca would have probably died on the streets of New York by now. He was about six feet tall, in his mid 50's and his hair and beard always looking wild even after washing it. But he was a nice guy and never asked for anything. He also always had the best interest for Becca.

โ€œYou know Ozzy, youโ€™re not my butler, you donโ€™t have to make me tea, or call me Ms, itโ€™s fine to just call me Becca.โ€ She blew at the hot tea before taking a sip before her head jerked back. Her lips pressed tightly together as she forced herself to swallow the bitter and foul tasting tea.

โ€œIโ€™m going to go make repairs to your uniform.โ€ He walked away.

With a light chuckle she shook her head as she picked up her phone, going through her contacts until it landed on one name. Ronnie Salvatore, the same friend who almost lost her life a year ago. She hadnโ€™t spoken to Ronnie much after the murder attempt. She changedโ€ฆ to be fair, so did Becca. โ€œFunk it.โ€ She murmured as her phone began to dial the number. The phone rang, and rang, and rangโ€ฆ the voice mail. โ€œHey Ron, itโ€™s Becca, just wanted to check in, see how youโ€™re doing. Itโ€™s been a while since we talked. We should get lunch together sometime and catch up. If youโ€™re in the neighborhood, call or text me. Talk to you later.โ€ She hung up the phone as she took another sip of her tea only to have her face twist in disgust.

No Caption Provided

Getting up she walked over to her kitchen and grabbed a bottle of red wine that was just waiting for her to collect. Pouring herself a glass she grasped a bag of pretzels from the cabinet. Leaning forward on her island in the middle of her kitchen she popped a salty pretzel in her mouth as she took a sip of her drink. A relived sigh was heard as she looked around the empty kitchen. "Happy Anniversary, Hereโ€™s to another year in Silverline." She cheered to herself.

"But man is not made for defeat. A man can be destroyed but not defeated."

Ezra viewed Silverline City for what it really was - a canvas for work which he had left his signature many of times. Cries and horns were a musical opera that came daily. The blood on the streets only shaded by the dark alleys which laced the streets. He was a quandary to the law, an enigma to the crime. He did not care. He never did. To many, Ezra lived on the edge, not seeing black or white but shades of gray.

No Caption Provided

He had happened across the city months ago. He wanted to get away, not caring where he ended up, or what he did, but fate had pushed him toward Silverline City for a reason - if such thing as fate existed. Ezra did not believe in such things. He viewed life as something to push and keep pushing until something snapped like his mind years ago. He remembers the day he entered the city's bus and noticed an older woman standing next to him while a teen, no older than he was when he had acquired his drivers license years ago, remain seated on the bumpy ride. There was no politeness on the teens part. He did not even recognize the woman. To him, that 12 inches of seating was his, and would not give it up under any circumstances.

The woman remained silent, not questioning that though she had suffered through life longer than the teen, that as long as she remained in her sphere, kept her eyes shut though they were open to all the filth that polluted the city. She was a survivor. Her main goal was to see another day, and hopefully another day after that. Life had screwed them but it was then he realized that he needed life to know how it felt to be screwed like him and the others. Silverline City was about to be screwed hard.

He waited along the Homeless Row, sharing the heat fueled by old papers. He waited for the moment, which came when two people came out of a black Mercedes across the street. Obviously suffering had paid well for these two as they shared obscenities' aloud. Obviously someone was paying their lifestyle. They went in, he followed. Ezra was not a violent man. He kept to himself, but this was worth fighting for.

No Caption Provided

One went into the toilet as the other laughed upon the urinal. Ezra followed not caring for what they said. There he was, pissing his life away unaware life was about to get really difficult. Ezra landed a quick slap to the back of his head, garnering obscenities' as he turned spraying the floors and Ezra's pant legs with urine. Ezra looked at his pants as the man put back his package into his pants. The man's face would feel the contact of Ezra's left fist while the right followed. He grabbed the man, throwing him toward the toilet door. There was resistance, obviously his partner after he wiped his a$$ while Ezra was wiping the floor with his partner.

There was a small back and forth between the three as Ezra conceded the position to see his partner in full. Ezra connected with a blow to his face which he shrugged off with his immense size. Ezra would punch his partner again as he locked onto him with a hand, using him as an obstacle as he fell unconscious from the blow. His partner hesitated. Ezra did not, leaping across the fallen thug tackling his comrade onto his head hit the cold toilet with a thud. There was blood. Ezra did not care. He continued the beat down as his fist continued until there was no more resistance left.

No Caption Provided

It was over. Ezra looked at himself in the mirror. His wiped his forehead with his bloody hands, smearing the the blood across his face. He would smile, figuring life really sucked for those two. He would leave the building disheveled, walking the city streets that day. It turned out that the two were part of a crime family, the family not at all pleased for what had happened. He had just assumed they where pricks that needed a lesson. Ezra would breathe in the city air, recognizing that it was a piece of doo-doo, but it was his doo-doo.

Ezra stared at a phone which he lifted off the thugs, looking at the contacts which it held. He had contemplated it for days as he went for days doing what needed to be done. Ezra picked up the phone, pushing the contact which had been dialed the most. A man answered, Ezra not knowing who it was. Hello the voice asked.

Riddle me this... Ezra responded, Who am I who is coming for you?

Northern Silverline

No Caption Provided

'Ooooh! would you look at that? The Red chick has returned,' Belle thought, listening to the thwarted robbery via a plant placed inside the botanical gardens manager's office.

Like the Gardens in Expendaville and Valor City, Belle was the source of creation. She raised the beautiful gardens everywhere she went like a calling card. Typically she'd leave, and then humans would enter to claim ownership; however, she was very crafty in maintaining her position as "Queen of the Garden" without being seen.

After helping Lyn and the Knightfall doctor develop a cure for the Sapien Flu, she assumed she'd be met with some sort of adulation--wrong.

Knightfall took all the credit, leaving Aspen struggling with thoughts of trying to kill the world-renowned doctor.

Since leaving Silverline the first time, she'd only done a few small jobs, nothing major. In the grand scheme of things, she was starting to feel like a glorified henchman, like one of Lyn's goons. She needed to do something to be taken seriously, something that'd transform her from a "D" list entity straight to the top.

"I suppose I could release a spore cloud over the city? Construct mind-numbing parasites?" She thought inhaling her own manufactured vapors, in human form, they were potent enough to get her high. She was and is her own supplier.

Gazing through a complied list of her own abilities, she inhaled once more before realizing she already had the answer. "A mind-control Marijuana," She called out with a cloud of smoke rising through her thicket.

Down below, she could hear the security guard making his rounds. 'Of course it's a rent a cop' She thought realizing he wasn't someone she could use. But he did give her an idea. "The Police...that's great."

Mylos Estate
No Caption Provided

Heels clacked up the stairs when Serkan Alakurt finally uncovered the cache. The wall mounted, hidden security locker housed stacks of cash, pistols, thumb drives, binders, manilla folders and a miniature statue of a stylized saber tooth tiger. Robbing the property of the Candidate Silverline City District Representative, Xavier Mylos, the Turkish Transplant mused on gripping spoils of his own. Spoils aside from his employer Denali.

Activating the CLOUD via his gauntlet a floating, neon blue disc appeared and illuminated his masked face blue. He dropped the saber miniature, cash stacks and thumb drive into the plate-sized portal. Opening the binder he flipped through images of stylish rifle-toting members of a gang. The photos were shot with a voyeuristic paparazzi point of perspective. The binder seemed overall irrelevant to Denali's request and to him. He needed blackmail. Leverage to arm twist and mire the image of the aspiring politician. Opening the manilla folder, a Valor City birth certificate revealed itself on the opening page. Quickly filing though the remaining slivers of data he came across another voyeuristic paparazzi photo of a teenage boy and girl commuting in private school uniforms. The importance of these hidden files went over Serkan's head, but Denali had a historied relationship with Mylos. One that would surely add more context to their need to be concealed.

Just as he closed and slipped the file into the CLOUD transit, a light flickered on and a woman, Mylos wife, screamed at the bedroom door before fleeing. Serkan could hear her heels frantically clacking down the manor stairs. Retracing his breach path Cancas slipped out the opened window. The monied, property silence of the night broke with the conversation of Mylos wife below explaining what stirred her upstairs.

"A man in a gimp suit! In our bedroom!"

"We should call the police." a worried dinner party guest added.

"Don't make any calls. We pay a swimming salary for more competent security." Xaviar Mylos gravely corrected.

Scaling the relief of the stone architecture on the second floor, Cancas inched closer and closer to the detached food storage garage adjacent estate's the kitchen for his escape route.

An oddly placed swoosh of air sounded behind him. A kick to his spine broke his scale of balance, falling from the second floor and slamming hard onto the stamped driveway pavement below. The air swoosh sounded once more. An explosive punch to the face jolted him. Put the oddity and danger of the situation into perspective. A teleporter. Relying on his lower bodyweight he bridged his legs off the ground, grounding momentum from his feet and transferring it to his hands to perform an evasive backflip. Landing on his feet the air swoosh sounded to his left and he quickly created distance as the teleporter emerged, revealing themselves to be a woman.

Standing ten inches shorter than Serkan she held no mask of concealment. Her face was laid bare. Her large, upturned brown eyes caught his attention naturally, a large forehead and distance between her eyes created an ethereal alien look to her. It disarmed Serkan for only a mere moment, he closed their distance to attack. She ported evading his jab, only to appear at his back with a hooked, rear mount. Contradicting her ethereal and small frame, Serkan felt her compressive strength. Her legs constricted his ribs like a boa.

He leaned into the choke moving his body into her pull. He got small amount of space to jerk his neck forward then back for a headbutt. Sustaining her grip she defensively angled her head like a snake anticipating his next headbutt. He tripped himself to toss his body to the porter bodyweight and gravity to take them to the pavement. Cancas moved like a machine grabbing her choke arm to decrease the pressure on his throat, give him room to breathe. Bridging his lower body, beating her weight, Cancas drove his head to the pavement and scampered his legs in a circular path, attempting to escape her leg bind. His leg length trumped her bind, he stepped over her outer leg and pushed his inner leg away from the other.

No Caption Provided

Escaping her grip, rolling to his feet he immediately brandished his Vidya Sticks, smacking them together creating an electrical spark of energy. The porters square face was colored with electrical light. "I dare you." he taunted inching away for his escape, threatening to charge her with 45 burst microcoulumn charge if she tried her grapple again.

The electric stand-off bought him enough distance and time to pop an Aespen Bomb into the skirmish, creating a thick and humid smoke cloud between the two. The porter defensively staggered back to avoid more inhalation of the toxic fumes laced in the smoke. Cancas made his escape.

Silverline City

No Caption Provided

Each passing moment in the compromised life of Xavier Mylos - the silver tongued Silverline politician - now served as an unshakable reminder of his open vulnerability. A man of social privilege, the strain of having to submit to a lesser position of weakness was overwhelming. Oftentimes resulting in an unfavorable display or uncontrolled emotional tantrum in front of his wife - or worse - his paid associates. And though well funded, the price of pure loyalty had never been printed on the back of a piece of paper. Loyalty was an equity men of fabricated fortitude seldom bothered to invest in.

The lack of a trail, suspect or ransom had begun to wither away at the diminishing psyche of Xavier's conspiratorial mind. His men had failed him. His security team had failed him. Even his teleporter had been bested by the daring and acrobatic thief. Coincidence or incompetence, neither mattered. Xaiver had made up his mind. He needed to bring in someone from the outside. Someone with the right 'credentials' and references. Little did he know that the Silent Knight had established just such a reputation, however, for his own subversive goals. Morally bankrolled goals.

The Amalfi Coast

Only one of the listing F50's multihull's remained in contact with the glass sheen azure-blue waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Racing upwards of 40 to 50 knots, Sabriel skillfully manned the rigid sails boosting the vessel's speed ensuring a continued aerial skip across the smooth Mediterranean. Physically maintaining a focused mixture of raw strength, frantic reactionary reflexes, and stoic tranquility while in observable view of the chartered crew.

When suddenly and unexpectedly the secret Knightfall eased up. Relaxed the riggings and settled the craft down with substantially decreased nots. He said nothing but rather motioned for the out of shape Floridian husband and father of two to come helm his own charter while Sabriel himself attended to the vibrating digital device in the pocket of his all white carbon Heather V2 nautical slacks.

The normal casual exchanges preceded Sabriel's various interactions. A distracted nod for his driver. A more alert yet distant smile and nod for his official Silverline atrache, but still visibly diluted of outgoing engagements. They moved through the rather modest residence taking in every observable point of interest. Nothing had been destroyed or even overturned so far as the Last Arashikage could tell upon initial glance.

The wall mounted locker was absent of any suspicious markings or scratches. The thief seemingly knew where to go, and how to get in when he got there. In fact, the only variable the thief had apparently neglected in his otherwise highlight of a perfect heist, was the would-be politician's metahuman associate. And even then his improvisational displays of evasion and elusive gadget themed acrobatics had allowed him to escape unharmed, loot in tow.

A myriad of imagined motions premiered in the Silent Knight's cinematic reimagining of events. Examining the left over residue of the thief's Aespen Bomb between two fingers as he crouched down looking for left over foot prints or blood splatters.

"No signs of forced entry. Non-lethal encounters, opting for stealth and evasion over direct lethal confrontation. Someone used alot of energy to make sure nobody got killed here tonight. They knew what they wanted. And where it was located. If you wouldnt mind, I'mma need to take a look at all your security feeds going as far back as a month before the robbery. It's going to take awhile so we should get started right away."Sabriel stated before pausing to look around the immediate area again. As if something had tickled the back of his neck. "Right this way sir" his attache beckoned.

A little bit of backstory:

New Goldline was an area within the Southside of the now merged Silverline. Although the Merger saved face for the city known as Goldline because it didn't crumble to the rubble, some felt it was destined for. The truth of the Merger was although it helped somewhat in the beginning, it was like putting a band-aid on a wound that needed to be cauterized. Sure, they good intentions, but when problem after problem, began to pile up, the citizens of South Silverline were once again thrown to the waist side. It was Goldline City all over: unemployment, crime, and overpopulation consumed it once again.

The area of New Goldline was different. It seemed like the problems that plagued the other parts of Southern Silverline City were non-existent in New Goldline. It had thriving popular businesses like the casino known as The Palace and the restaurant called Serenity. These two businesses alone brought tourists and supplied jobs to those in the area, and housing was surprisingly affordable compared to other parts of Silverline City.

Because of all of this, New Goldline was a beacon of hope for the citizens that had felt forgotten. Those same citizens credited it all to Liam Belmont, the Lion of Goldline, and now the uncrowned King of New Goldline.

Liam Belmont could be seen as a sinner or a saint, depending on who you asked. His association with troubling individuals in black market supervillain-like deals could label him the next level of a lord of war in this era filled with superheroes and supervillains. But if you were to ask people of New Goldline about the man titled the Lion, well they would most likely label him a hero in their time of need. It seems Mr. Belmont, in the end, shows no allegiance to either side on the war of good vs evil but instead chooses to deal with both sides if he feels it to be an equal trade. All of this wasn't exactly common knowledge.

The citizens understood he was a businessman, owning both The Palace and Serenity. They also understood he did business with people all over and that he was known to be a man you didn't want to cross, but nothing more. The Forgotten Citizens didn't exactly care what he did to change the city; they were just glad he was making actual change.

Now:

The Uncrowned King of New Goldline was returning from another business trip with his trusted ally, Alice. Liam pulled up an article about the Silverline Vigilante, "It seems she's staying busy." He said to Alice, who began reading the article, on the holographic display after moments of skimming it, she replied. "It's just Gotcha journalism. Almost like they're not taking the Southern Citizens seriously."

"Yes, they seem to be downplaying the citizen accounts, but she's gaining traction."

"What do you want to do about it?"

"Right now? Nothing. Let's see how she goes moving forward and act accordingly. Who knows she could even be helpful at some point."

"You're not seriously thinking of associating with her, are you?"

"I am, that's if she's willing."

"What about your other associates? Do you think they'll like working with someone trying to put them out of business?"

"That's none of their business. It's mine."

Alice had no response to this and just began looking out of the window. She could tell by the environment outside; that they had left North Silverline and were now in the less fortunate South Silverline. It was always a bit depressing to see it all.

"Alice, I want you to check on them today."

Alice's body quickly turned away from the window to face Liam once again. She was about to try and get out of the order when Liam continued speaking.

"I would send someone else if I could, but we both know how that has turned out in the past."

Alice began to recall all the times someone else had been sent. They would either end up drunk under a table, lost, or worse.

"Fine." Alice said to Liam before, unbuckling her seatbelt and tapping on the divider separating them from the driver, "Pull over."

"What are you doing?" Liam asked, a bit surprised by Alice.

"You can get home safely can't you?" Liam chuckled a bit, then Alice actually answered his question, "If I'm going to go deal with them, I would at least like a moment of peace beforehand."

"Understandable, let me know when it's done."

"Yeah," Alice said before stepping out and closing the door.

Mr. Belmont waited a moment looking at Alice, then spoke up to the driver, "Stop at the outskirts of New Goldline, I want to give someone a break today." The driver began to take off with Liam in the vehicle, and Alice walking on the sidewalk.

As soon as she had closed the door of the armored vehicle, Alice began walking. In the presence of Liam and his associates, she held herself to a higher standard of how to carry herself. She saw herself as not only his most trusted advisor but an extension of him. The way she handled herself in the eyes of their company was just as important as how Liam handled himself. So, as she walked away from the armored vehicle she continued to hold her purposeful upright body posture.

Moments later, as the vehicle began to drift out of eyesight, her body began to relax. To the point where one could mistake her as just another 20 something-year-old woman going about her day. Her shoulders slouched a bit more, her stoic face began to have more emotion, and there was even a bounce in her step. She might've been in the troubled area known as South Silverline City, but she was free of obligation at the moment. If even for just a moment. It wasn't that Liam had ordered her to carry herself a certain way, but what he did and what he set out to accomplish had made her feel the need to not been seen as just another 20 something-year-old.

Finally, after moments of walking by herself with no sense of obligation, besides them of course, Alice began to revisit the conversation she had with Liam about the vigilante. "I'm not against her. She's soo cool. Nothing like a kick ass woman to make some waves around here," Alice took a look around the unfortunate area, "God knows we need it." She paused momentarily thinking about the poor people who had to call this place home, before continuing with the conversation." But She's bad for business and business is good for us."

She then began muttering as she began to disagree with herself and fall deeper into her thoughts, "He knows what he's doing, when he says his business not theirs, that's how he's always carried himself."

"What about Stephen?"

"What about Stephen?! This doesn't concern him. It's our business and if Liam thinks its good for business, then it's good for all of this."

She stopped in her tracks, then softly tapped the center of her forehead, "I shouldn't even be worrying about this, he hasn't made up his mind yet, and it's like he said it kind of depends on her." She took a breath in and let it out to reset herself, and then continued walking. The conversation had kept her busy enough that she was just now realizing that she was nearing the place she called home, New Goldline.

It always brought a smile to her face, at least when no one was around. She was proud of what Liam was able to accomplish, it was no easy feat, and people might hate him for how he got it done, but they weren't exactly making changes in Alice's eyes.

She took an almost meditative last glance at it before saying, "Call The Palace." Her cybernetic HUD display began calling the casino known as The Palace. It was time she got started at the task at hand, and the easiest one of them to find fancied the lifestyle of The Palace.

A woman's voice answered almost immediately, "Hello, this is The Palace, where anyone can feel like royalty, how may I help you?"

"Hello, Theresa. It's Alice. Is Johnny there?"

"Oh yes, ma'am he is. He's been here for two days straight, we thought about having someone ask if he would like to cash out, but since the incident with Owen, we thought it would be better if we didn't."

"Oh, no worries Theresa. It's always better to let him play himself out. How is Owen by the way? Is he still getting the money, Mr. Belmont has been sending."

"Yes ma'am. He is. From what I hear from his wife. He's trying to rush back, he's not liking just taking Mr. Belmont's money."

"You tell Stacey that we don't want Owen back until he's a hundred and ten percent. Also, tell her to tell him, to look at it as paid vacation, Mr. Belmont is really sorry for Johnny's actions and has since had a stern talking to him."

"Okay, I'll do that ma'am," Theresa waited a moment before asking, "Will that be it, ma'am?"

"Actually Theresa, could you have someone leave a bottle of Whiskey with one of the doormen, for Johnny. I'll be there in a moment to send him on his way."

"Will do ma'am. Thank you."

"Thank you, bye."

"Bye."

Alice hung up the call, then began walking towards The Palace, and as she entered New Goldline, her posture began to correct itself again. Her stoic face began to return, and there was no longer a bounce to her step. She was back to being an extension of Mr. Belmont.

As soon as she entered, there was Theresa a middle-aged woman with a soft smile waiting for Alice to arrive.

"Is he still here?" Alice said as she continued walking.

Theresa who fell in line, walking behind her step by step replied, "Yes ma'am, he is. The bottle is already at the door and a car out front, just in case."

"Oh good, but we both know, he's only leaving on the ride he rode in on. That'll be it, Theresa. Thank you again."

"No problem ma'am," Theresa said as she stopped following Alice and simply went about her business.

Alice knew he wouldn't be on the first floor of the casino, the games were too small for him. The man loved high stakes and big rewards, and sure enough, as she entered the second floor, she could already hear what he would call hootin' and hollerin'. His voice and laughter carried throughout the floor and only grew in unimaginable noise as she drew nearer to him.

She passed well-dressed customer after well-dressed customer, the second floor was a totally different experience than the first floor. It had the idea of Luxury in mind, while the first floor was designed for comfort and affordability. For that reason, customers tend to dress up to match the environment. Where the usual customer dressed up in modern suits and gowns, Johnny was different.

No Caption Provided

John 'Johnny' Holliday was a southern man fascinated by the Wild West. He was a gunslinger who fully took on the ideology of a cowboy in that era. Heavy drinking, big gambling, and quick shooting. So, his sense of fashion was closer to the Old West than Modern attire. But, even if he was a rugged cowboy, when he came to the second floor, he still dressed up.

His back was turned towards her, so he would have no idea it was her, at least not with the amount of alcohol and sleep-depravation that he was on. She eased up her pace as she got closer to him and softly tapped him on the shoulder.

"No thank you, my drinks are still full." His southern draw was noticeable and Alice couldn't help but look over and see the multiple bottles, he had in case he got a steady case of thirst. She knew they were all full because the staff wouldn't allow empty bottles to cover the table and Johnny wouldn't allow them to take full ones off of it.

She then tapped him once again, but added her voice to it this time, "It's time to cash out."

"I don't think so, ma'am. I'm on a winning streak and I'll be damned if I cash out now." He still had no idea, it was Alice. Other customers began to look over, and Alice calmed them down with a soft smile in hopes that they would continue to play.

She waited another moment, before tapping him again, causing quite the reaction out of Johnny. Who swung his body around with bad intentions and a loudmouth to accompany it, "DAMN IT, I SAID I'M ON A--"

When his eyes met Alice's, his body with bad intentions softened and his loud mouth lowered, "Oh Alice," a big smile consumed his face, "Sorry about that. I didn't know it was you."

Alice just stared at him, not saying a word, and Johnny's need to fill the silence between them continued, "Want to play a game, maybe I can give you some of my good luck." He said as he sat back down, this time facing her.

To this Alice did respond, "Actually, Mr. Belmont asked me to check up on you."

"Did he now?" Johnny began finishing the bottles on the table, he felt like he wouldn't be here for much longer.

"He did."

"Alrighty then." He got up from his seat, grabbing the overcoat that had been resting on the seat since he got there 2 days ago, and began to walk away. The dealer was ready to take the cards out of play, when Alice, who had already scanned his cards and his high probability said, "Hit him."

This caused Johnny to turn around in time for the dealer to be looking at him, seeing if he agreed with it, "What you looking at me for? you heard the damn woman hit me." His weak pair of double 7s was then greeted with a 6. "Okay, not bad," Johnny whispered to Alice.

The dealer looked at his 15, almost upset that the two of them had taken his 6, drew another card, this time pulling a 7, to which Johnny hollered, "Woooo!" He began taking off his overcoat and heading towards the very same seat, he had left only moments ago, when he felt Alice's soft touch on his arm reminding him of why he got up in the first place.

"That's right, let me just get these chips." The last good hand even caused him to tip the dealer a $100 chip, it was chump change from the hand he just won, but the excitement had left him in a good mood. He then came face to face with Alice once again.

"Nice call." He was about to continue walking when Alice put her hand on his chest to stop him.

"There's a bottle of whiskey waiting at the door for you."

Johnny's big smile began to cover his face once again, "Well ain't you just the sweetheart of Silverline." To which Alice chuckled and Johnny howled in laughter.

As Johnny was walking away from Alice, she said, "You can find your way home can't you cowboy?"

"No, but Rex can." To which Alice shook her head and once again Johnny howled in laughter.

Alice took one last look around the second floor and then began heading out. "One down, two more to go." Johnny was probably the easiest out of the three, he frequented places and usually left the device Liam gave to each of them on.

Liam had gifted them all a device so that communication was always a possibility and they could choose to have the tracker function on or off. Johnny didn't care, he wasn't exactly hiding. The way he saw it, Mr. Belmont was going to find him either way. The common places and tracker made him an easy checkmark on the list, but Kenshi wasn't always so easy. Sure, he left his tracker on (unless he was on business), but unlike Johnny, Kenshi roamed everywhere, mostly throughout Silverline, but sometimes even neighboring cities and states.

She tapped her temple area, and once again the HUD popped up. "Please be near....huh Sunny Park? That's closer than I thought."

Theresa was waiting at the exit with a happy smile, "Thank you again, ma'am," she said. "My pleasure Theresa, oh by the way is that car you prepared for Johnny still outside?"

"Yes ma'am, I told them to wait, in case you want to meet Mr. Belmont somewhere."

"Theresa, what would we do without you?" Alice shook her hand and then walked outside and got right into the armored car, "Where to ma'am?" The driver asked a moment after she closed the door.

"Take me to Sunny Park."

Before she knew it, she was back in the North part of Silverline City, the environment was much nicer than the one she walked through earlier today, but it was disappointing to Alice. She didn't understand or maybe she didn't want to understand how Silverline could merge with Goldline city and then just leave them to fend for themselves. That's why she and the citizens of Southern Silverline gravitated towards Liam. He was lending a helping hand and that's all they wanted was someone to say "hey, we'll get through this"

"We're here ma'am." The driver eased to a stop.

"Thank you. I should be back in no time, if not I'll call Theresa and she'll let you know." Alice closed the car door and began walking through the park following the HUD's tracker. When she saw him in the distance, she closed the HUD and simply walked over to the Japanese man with rugged facial hair wearing a black Kimono ( a sword hidden underneath it) and no shoes sitting at the bench. To a passerby, he wouldn't draw much attention, but if someone were to focus on him, his attire would begin to stick out. It's not like physically he was demanding attention, he just sat at the bench looking out at the rest of the park in front of him, more accurately dogs interacting with their owners. Unlike Johnny, Kenshi was in the right state of mind to notice when she was getting closer to him, and just when she was in ear's reach, he spoke up.

"Hello, Alice-san."

"Hello, Sensei." She said as she took a seat on the bench.

"Does Belmont-san want me for something?" He asked still looking towards the dogs.

"Not at the moment, no. He just asked me to check up on all of you." Alice had also begun looking at the dogs with him, "You know, you can own a pet right? Like Mr. Belmont wouldn't care if you had a dog, he might even like it with everything you been through."

The last part caused Kenshi to rise right up off the bench. Alice did the same, knowing she had possibly pushed him too much. There was a moment of silence between Kenshi waiting for his next order from Alice and Alice saying, "I would recommend going home, eating a good meal, and getting a good night's rest. "

After that, they both bowed to each other out of respect, and then he began walking off into the distance. Alice took another glance at the dogs and then began walking back to the vehicle.

"Those two are always pretty easy, it's him I'm worried about," she said to herself as she neared the driver.

"I'm sorry ma'am did you say something?"

"Oh, nothing." She said as he opened the door for her and then got right back into the driver's seat.

"Back to New Goldline, then?"

"No, take me to the South Silverline and slowly cruise through the neighborhoods."

"Yes ma'am, anything I should be keeping an eye out for?"

"A black 1969 Camaro with a star on the sides. It has a white hood too." Alice said.

The driver knew exactly who they were looking for, Dante had made somewhat of a crazy name for himself. For that reason, the driver's, "Yes ma'am." Sounded a bit less enthusiastic and Alice noted it.

She couldn't blame him, Dante was possibly the wild card of the group, he seemed to operate on his own set of wavering rules, and the only one who could actually control him was Liam. Even though Alice had respect from Kenshi and Johnny, Dante still gave her problems. This whole having to basically hunt him down situation was a prime example of him playing by his rules. It just made things difficult, just for him to make things difficult in her eyes at least.

Alice kept a look out the window as the scenery once again went from bright and lovely to dark and cloudy. "Fitting." She thought to herself. The worse sight to her was seeing the kids being raised in this terrible environment. To be born into poverty and crime, they didn't ask to be made, but damn were they being made to deal with the consequences.

"Find the nearest convenience store," She spoke up to the driver.

"Yes ma'am." He drove for a few minutes before pulling into a rundown shady small convenience store. "Would you like me to go with you, ma'am?"

Alice thought to herself, before replying, "Yes. I could use another set of hands." She didn't need protection, not with everything Liam had supplied her with since the incident and her training after it.

As the two well-dressed individuals walked towards the store, the driver walked close behind, scanning the area, but also unsure what they were going to do here.

As soon as she walked in, she faced the employee who was sitting down. Once they looked up at Alice, he thought to himself, she looks familiar. He took a glance outside at the nice vehicle and then at the driver, and it hit him like a flash who she associated with, he basically threw himself into position behind the counter. "Sorry about that, ma'am. What can I do for you?"

Alice threw a wad of bills onto the counter and calmly said, "I need all the cold soda, water, and juices you have. Also, I want chips, cookies, and candy you have." The employee was still looking at the wad of cash on the counter when Alice spoke up again, "That should cover it right?"

The employee had to shake himself back into reality, "Ma'am that's probably way more than it will cost. Do you want the stuff in the back, too?"

"No, I'll leave that for you to sell until you get the next truck in. I would hate to be a burden on the next person coming in."

"Yes, ma'am." The employee pushed the wad of cash to the side, while the dealer began setting everything on the counter. Several minutes later, and the employee began separating some of the bills to hand back to Alice.

She shook her head, "What am I supposed to do with this money, ma'am?" The man didn't want it to get back to The Lion of Goldline that he had shorted her.

"I'll tell you what." She smiled at the teenage employee, "If you help my buddy and me load up all of this, you can keep it." She had just finished her sentence when he was already halfway out the door. Followed by the driver and then Alice. The eagerness of the employee to please Alice caused him to load up the cart impressively fast. Just as the driver was about to close the trunk, Alice reached in pulled out a Coca-cola and a bag of hot Cheetos, and handed it to the employee standing by waiting for further instructions. "Here you go, thank you again." She said softly, before finishing with, "get home safe." Her kindness would be remembered by him as he continued to live in the South of Silverline City. The driver was waiting by the door, already open for her entry. Alice waved goodbye and then got back into the vehicle. The employee stood outside watching as they drove, almost frozen in happiness.

Alice began directing the driver to pull over every so often, so they could hand drinks and snacks to the kids in the area. It was a small thing to her, but the faces of the happy kids were more than rewarding to her. As she handed the kids their gifts, the face she chose to wore was a soft gentle happy one. Just like when dealing with Liam's associates, she chose the right face for the right occasion. The kids didn't need a stoic cold businesswoman, they needed a helping hand, and she was more than happy to oblige.

This went on for several blocks when the driver finally spotted the vehicle they had been cruising for originally. It was on the opposite side of the street from them, outside what looked like a rundown house. Which didn't exactly stick out compared to its neighboring houses.

"Ma'am." He softly spoke up as Alice was handing out more snacks, "I found the car."

Alice finished handing out the set of gifts and then rolled up the window. Like a switch as soon as the tinted window was fully closed, her face had returned to its business setting.

"Okay pull forward pass it and then turn around parking on that side of the street." Alice wanted to be far enough from the kids, so they wouldn't come back to the car to thank her, for their safety.

As soon as the car parked the driver began to unbuckle himself, to which Alice said before exiting the vehicle, "Stay in the car." The presence of another person would just lead to more problems with Dante. Alice walked into the rundown building with no problem and the driver was paying attention to the surrounding areas once again. He like Alice didn't want someone intervening or being caught up in something they had no business with.

Alice walked through the front door of the dusty odorous house, as the door finally closed shut behind her, there was shushing. Before a loud bass like voice spoke up, "Who's there?" Alice could tell by the voice it wasn't Dante's, possibly the owner of the place, but Alice didn't care enough to reward them with a response. She walked into the living room when the voice spoke up again, "I SAID WHO'S THERE?!" Alice was already close enough to the voice, that she responded by just walking into the backroom kitchen that they were hanging out. She was greeted by multiple firearms of different shapes and sizes being pulled on her point blank, and yet she stood there stone-faced unfazed by them.

A slender man around the same age as Alice with Blue hair, solid white eyes, and no pupils was the first to set his gun down. The others followed his lead, Alice faced her body towards him but never made eye contact with him. She knew better. She stood there in silence, while the others waited for Dante to tell them what was up. He started laughing to himself, before throwing his gun back up followed by the gang. "I should shoot you on the principle of just walking wherever you please." The gang somewhat looked at each other, they knew who Alice was. Dante dropped his gun again almost like playing with the situation the gang was in, "For those of you who don't know, yes that right there is The Lion's right hand. What are they calling you nowadays? The Lioness of Goldline?" Dante began roaring in almost maniacal laughter, followed by his subordinates' small chuckles. "How do you feel about being called your royal highness of the supreme?" Dante asked, to which Alice replied, "It's a bit worthy." Dante was laughing so much about his teasing that he didn't even register her response.

One of the men in the room foolishly decided to chime in, "We should call her, "The Queen o--" Dante had blown his brains out before he could even finish his sentence. The rest of them were confused, they understood how Dante could be, but they also thought their peer hadn't exactly stepped out of line. Alice on the other hand was almost used to the kind of situations Dante threw people in.

"Have some respect." Dante said as he finally stood up, "Don't you know who she is?" Dante walked over to the slumped body and gave it a tap with his foot, almost upset with himself, he yelled to the others. "Give us some space guys, go outside or something." They rushed out without even letting out a whisper.

Dante brushed the still hot tip of the gun to the side of his head, before turning around to face Alice, "What do you want?"

"Mr. Belmo---"

"Mr. Belmont? Gah damn Alice, we all know you call him Liam. Why the formality of it?"

Alice waited before trying to repeat what she was going to say.

"Mr. Belmont wanted me to check on you."

"He could've just called, you could've just called."

Alice wanted to lecture him about not answering when she would call but instead decided to continue the conversation.

"What are you even doing here Dante?"

"What do you mean?" He sat down before throwing his hands up at the question, "I'm hanging out or did that stick up your ass make you forget what that was?"

Alice was already growing tired of the conversation.

"Dante, I didn't come here to fight with you. Just make sure you stay out of trouble. We don't need anything bad for---"

"I swear to god, if you say bad for business, I'll go cause problems out of spite of that condescending tone."

Alice finally shifted her eyes to make full-on eye contact with him.

A big smile spread across Dante's face, "Feeling brave now, Alice?"

"The only time someone can be brave is when they are afraid." A smirk crept out of her face before walking out of the room.

There was a sound of another bullet impacting a body as she walked out of the house, Dante spoke up soon after, meaning he shot the corpse again, "Tell him, that I don't need some babysitter checking up on me."

"Tell him yourself," Alice said as she closed the door shut to the sound of another bullet impacting the corpse.

Alice walked back to the vehicle, entered it before finally tapping the temple of her head and calling Liam. "They are all still alive, and they know you wanted to check upon them."

Liam's voice could only be heard in her head, "Good, was there in problems?"

"Nothing, I couldn't handle."

"Okay, well I'll have them prepare something for you to eat when you get home."

Alice began looking at the snacks they still had in the vehicle, "I still have to do something, so I'll let you know when I'm heading home."

"Not playing Silverline Santa again, are you?"

"Someone has to."

Liam chuckled before saying goodbye.

Alice said goodbye, before hanging up the call and directing the driver that they were good to go.

"Where to now, ma'am?"

"What do you mean? We still have all of this to give away." Alice said as she began grabbing piles of snacks and drinks to be ready to hand to the next set of kids.

"Of course." The driver said with a smile as he pulled out of their parking spot.

Alice's smile also began to return, partially to play the giving part again, but also because she was happy she completed the task Liam had given to her.

Entry was easy; the dense haze of mist in the air left the guards euphoric; in time, they would experience the worst case of munchies on the far side of the room stashed in a narrow opening between the fridge and pantry.

"So you're the guy pushing product for Richard Rockwell boy is he is going to be pissed," Aspen's eyes scanned the list of clientele, no names, just locations. Namely prominent members of the Sharks, Silk, and various other locations, probably street dealers.

"Black African Magic is one of the rarest strains in the world. Crazy what you can find laying around an apartment of a warehouse, for that matter." She taunted as the dealer tried his hardest to wiggle out of Aspen's vines. "Save your strength; those vines aren't budging. And if they do. You'll hate to see what those thorns will do to your flesh," She cautioned.

Walking the distance between them, the Crimson Haired, Emerald Eyed vixen came to a stop just before him, squatting at eye level. "James? That's your name, right. We can go about this one of two ways. One way is I destroy what's left of your stash and feed you to the lowlife's who employed you and go about my business. The second is, I destroy the rest of your stash, and you come to work for me."

Without so much as a blink, Aspen demonstrates her command on the vine positioned James' mouth, as it retracts to let him speak. "A-are you nuts! You're going to have every drug lord in the city gunning for you! A lot of money went into that score!"

A smirk slithered across her face; of course, she knew this. "Silly, Silly James. I'm well aware of the consequences of my actions. Allow me to point out that they will find you before they find me. I've already burned your stash at the warehouse; judging by your distro list, what's in this apartment is the last of it. Black African Magic may be rare to you flesh bags, but to a woman, with my abilities, it's a non-issue. Now are you with me or against me?"

The vines continued to constrict on her command, squeezing at the bone until James could stand it no longer. "Alright! Alright!" He wailed in agony. "I'm yours." He conceded with his head hung low.

"Oh, cheer up; I will deal with Rockwell myself. He and I have unfinished business. You tell your street dealers they can expect their product at regular intervals." Aspen could make this Black Magic on her own, but it'd bear her stamp. The same mind-controlling substance she used on James' boys. With a simple pass of the joint this city was hers.

A shadowy silhouette silently observed the Silverline City police and first responders from the edge of a nearby alleyway entrance as they struggled to quell a blazing warehouse inferno near the upper north-end. One of several such acts in recent nights as the notorious drug kingpin, Richard Rockwell, continued to suffer unimaginable losses and irreparable damage to his all but shattered reputation.

"Someone's all but dismantled the Rock's narcotics empire." the Mute Mamba raspily stated to his assistant - Thomas Tallover - through his two way communication-link located in his onyx shaded cowl.

"The Showstoppers sir?"

"No. Not this time, Thomas."Jayden corrected while slipping backwards into the full embrace of the allyway's darkness.

"Send me the intel on all of Rockwell's street capo's."

Tapping the side of his cowl the Last Arashikage cut comms. Then with a quick vault into the driver's seat of his modified v10 Huracรกn STO, he was ready to pursue the short but spread out list of locations recently transferred to the touchscreen dashboard of his vehicle. Blazing through the dimly lit streets with Formula-1 level proficiency the untethered Knightfall clone drifted around his final corner, simultaneously engaging the auto-drive before being aerially ejected into the night's sky to allow his gymnastic poetry - in concert with his specialized grapnel - to guide his perfectly balanced landing.

The euphoric haze of the Idol of Iconic Ivys still softly lingered and was visible through the capo James' skylight. His attempt to discourage the chronic green queen's hostile takeover held little conviction as her lethal vegetation began to constrict the fight out of him.

Shattering glass unexpectedly began to rain down towards Aspen and company, as Jayden tightly coiled himself in a tucked-rotating somersault, falling in and amongst the cascading debris. Waiting until the last moment to unsheathe his closed cape and gently parasailing the rest of the way down with controlled momentum.

"Put. Him. Down." Jayden's already unique voice was further distorted by his breathing apparatus. He could only hope it would be enough to withstand the effects of the dense mist like haze in the building.

Just as Aspen prepared to move on to the next locale, the glass above shattered; instinctively, she threw her hands over her face to shield herself from the falling glass shards; when her forearm retracted, her emerald eyes fell on his dark cowl, his voice sending a mild palpitation through her chest.

"Put. Him. Down."

"I love a man who comes, only after the lady is done." She retorts, releasing James from constriction per the capes command. It appeared as if her intel was off, she'd only known the Red-Headed Cape to be the only crusader in the city, but apparently, that was now outdated.

"Unfortunately, I don't have time to parley. I'm a businesswoman now," extending both her hands east and west; the Marijuana Mistress commanded two monstrous thorn laced vines to uproot the floorboards to lash the caped vigilante brutally.

"Toodles!" She called out with a blown kiss before thrusting her arm toward the entrance he'd so graciously provided, allowing her to zip out via a vine to the roof.

'Figures there's more than one,' She thought, trying to gauge the best vantage for escape. In-plant form a fall from this height wouldn't be fatal, but it wouldn't feel good either. Instead, she dug in deep, instead of outright running she crafted mushrooms across the top of the roof with the intent on releasing her mind control spores the moment she breached the surface.

As the goddess of the gang gang gardens moved, so to did the acrobatic Arashikage. Preemptively acting off from pure instinct and reactionary prowess as he dove to the side narrowly avoiding the first of two lethal vine-like limbs acting as independent agents of the aggressive villain.

The second of which had already violently lacerated the midnight vigilante's chest, slicing his uniform and even cutting through the first layer of athletic under-armor beneath his namesake's insignia as the Knightfall clone had left himself exposed, while pushing the ineffectual capo out the nearest window and onto the moderate safety of the iron fire escape.

A somersault to the right. A cat-pass over an overturned sofa which immediately transformed into another angled somersault. And finally a vaulting dive out the window as the apartment erupted in a moderated blaze.

Jayden having planted several low end explosives around the room as he elusively parkoured out of harm's way via suicide dive. With complete composure the free-falling hero reached up, firing his life-saving grapnel towards the nearest rooftop sculpture, before it latched and its gas propelled righting system in turn launched him through the star-sprinkled sky.

Little more than a caped silhouette, his shadowy form landed on the first of the Marijuana Madame's magic shrooms before he could decipher her devious and potentially deadly trap.

"There's nowhere left for you to run."he triumphantly championed.
