Seven in total they sprung up a series of hexagonal grid shaped force fields around the mecha the robots a series of hovering squid like designs. Projecting a shield of plasma the slug hit the drone shield and was disintegrated by the clash of blazing heat. Molten slag splashed upon the drone as the shield went down. Force of the impact to much for the shield to endure. That drone would retreat behind its shield casting brothers to recharge. As the other drones moved to defend against the gang based attack. Rockets grenades and bullets all struck the shields rather harmlessly, the particle cannon however similarly dropped a shield. More energy based there wasn't any structural damage to the drone but it to would need to recharge for a moment. However she now had the two dominating opponents she need to worry about.
Locking on targets, those being the canon user and the mobile assault platform a trio of rockets sprung from the shoulders of the blossom colored mech. Four would venture toward the vehicle targeting two legs, the front of the cannon and the cannons base. Intention being to get the rapid expanding explosion into the leg joints, cannon opening and the servos that'd allow the barrel to turn. FAE explosives once more put into use two more of them went toward the red masked cannon user and any thugs unfortunate enough to be near him. Against organic opponents these rounds were even worse. She probably wouldn't of even used the rockets if not for the fact the buildings and streets surrounding were quick to evacuate enough to make it safe to use. Such rockets could rack up quick collateral but she could use them now so she would. FAE blasts create a partial oxygen vacuum that in most cases will kill and maim in a variety of ways, often even be surpassing body armor or hard cover. The pressure generated by these FAE amounts to four hundred twenty seven pounds per square inch for comparison, regular air pressure is fourteen pounds per square inch. Victims near the center of the blast radius would often be crushed to death. Provided one survives or is far enough the overpressure can break bones, dislocate eyes, cause internal hemorrhaging, and rupture eardrums and a variety of internal organs. As a fuel air explosion it also sucks the air out of victims’ lungs, possibly causing them to collapse, and die by suffocation.
Red Mask saw it coming but only barely. He instantly hit the gas on his motorcycle shooting at the FAE explosives with the particle beam rifle. Considering the speed of the weapon even most speedsters would have trouble dodging it and its sheer power should set the explosives off early and if not force them backwards or off course if they somehow survived the devastating hit.
FInally to provide suppressive fire and with any luck mow down the additional gang members while stacking damage on the turret and red masked criminal Gaige brought what she called the Unreal Killzone. Arm mounted Vulcan Cannons. Firing 20 mm rounds at an extremely high rate of 6,000 rounds per minute, or a hundred per second the sheer volume of these shells could inflict massive damage even with basic ammunition. Her bullet of choice however, a semi-armor-piercing high-explosive incendiary (SAPHEI) round, with a muzzle velocity of 3,450 feet per second and its volatile discharge it was more an anti vehicle weapon then something to use on humans. Raised in the hardness of Gothic however she didn't flinch at the thought of her extremely violent heroics.
The rounds were far more than even the military level armor that the Blue Bloods usually wore. They were only fortunate enough they had highly enhanced healing and speed. They ran and moved with incredible agility to avoid the heavy weaponry. Nevertheless two of them were unfortunate enough to end up getting hit repeatedly and while it didn't kill or cause them pain it made it extremely difficult to move as one of them had a stomach ripped open and the other had a nearly blown off arm.
In retaliation Darkwing made his move. Leaping from wall to wall with his inhuman speed and grace he made his way towards her machine to send a canister of the Target Locking Acid against the rockets to eat away at their materials. The acid was extremely fast and potent enough to eat adamantium. Of course it did have some drawbacks but they were easily worth it. Of course there was always the possibility something would happen to stop it.
Moments as the action started, a telepathic voice roared with a thick french accent. Cast out to those willing to fight and the villains that orchestrated the public attack.
"I am the great and wonderful TzHaar! If you hear my might, then your soul has succumbed to my greatness. I am merciful, but only once I warn you."
Suddenly appearing on the rooftops above and the streets below that quarreled with the armed criminals."Surrender now or face your darkest fears." His voice emitted from multiple directions, five instantaneous figures that looked exactly liked him stood as titans and overshadowed their minds. Believing the sentries to be the grand height of twelve feet.
But, that's if they believed the grand wizards sorcery. Belief is a powerful thing that the supernatural took advantage of. Deceiving their sense of touch, hearing and sight, the illusions would actually become colossal physical beings in their minds that they would combat. In actuality there was only one TzHaar and out of the five titans he was neither of them, he wasn't a giant nor was he a wizard yet. It was all a telepathic trick that the Ectoplasmic man had devised as an illusion to distract them from what mattered most.
The True TzHaar was inside
He spoke only to those that needed help "Come civilians, to me now" Cloak widening across the room with shape shifting gateways and mist vacuuming the survivors into Ectoplasmic portals that led them to safety.
Blue Bloods had a high resistance to telepathic intrusion or manipulation. It was for this reason they didn't actually see the illusions. However while they heard the voices, they were not utterly immune, they had no ways of acting about it. And thus some confusion arose, but they were all professionals and did not intend to trip up because there was another mage in the area, even if they had enough trouble with one from Gothic.
Jason however, was a bit different. He knew something was wrong with the voice and he partially saw the illusions. However the intense pain he felt made it extremely difficult for things like that to work on him. It did however cause some confusion for him as well. He assumed that these occurrences meant a few possible things, holograms, light manipulation, magic, or telepathy. He was leaning on the side of magic but telepathy was a close second. However neither of this assisted him in fashioning a defense yet.
