Humans are odd.

Equations, scientific theories, artificial minds, blueprints, all of those can be logically analyzed and related to numeric symbols, they can be modelled thoroughly without having to think much about the outside factors, they can be calculated and anticipated accordingly. Human behavior, however, that couldn't be put into any sort of logic, it couldn't be compared to swimmingly solved 'x' and 'y' problems, it couldn't be as straightforward as a manual indicating step by step what could happen and the reactions said behavior would cause. No explanation could suffice, attempting to comprehend mankind as a whole was a treacherous path that would fry most machinery's circuits.

For instance, every child is taught how horrendous assassins and thiefs are, they grow to despise them, their inherently good morality they love to assume they have couldn't possibly sway those children off track, could it? Yet cops are vilified by the poorer on third world countries, murderers are formed on the streets of even the allegedly epitome of security that are metropolises. How come? Simple. Each person has a different mentality and the instinct to uphold said mentality, therefore acting on their best interest.

It's why scenes as boys chasing a man dressed in rags whilst wielding their bats, pipes and knives aren't so unorthodox as one might like to think.

Three of them in total, they kept pursuing and harassing the seemingly elderly man, covered from the top of his head to the tip of his toes, mumbling absurdities under his breath, trying to pick up his pace, avoid being caught. Honestly, it seemed as a terrified prey desperately attempting to abscond from its predator's claws, however these claws were far too strong for what he seemed to be able to do. A mice twitching underneath the mighty paws of a lion, uselessly seeking for a way to flee.

He couldn't.

A bat swings towards his hoodie, knocking him down, the guffaws echoing throughout the alley were enough to muffle the strange clang upon the hit being delivered. "S-stop this..." A voice whispered to no avail, its pleads for them to halt their assault falling in mute ears. "Wus that, old man? Ye want us to stop? Maybe if ye weren't such a dirty pig we would!" A foot meets the side of his head, knocking the hood off, revealing the entirely robotic-like figure hiding amid those wraps. "What da fu-" The first teenager exclaimed upon examining the simpering, eerie visage he was confronted with. "Hello there!" The machine mimicked one of the many greetings it had researched on its time online, only to be answered by yet another boot to the face.

His smile turned into a scowl.

"Bad human."

Unknown to its simplistic mind at first, the virus had assimilated and copied into its own memories the properties of one of world's most hazardous weapons. It had developped the ability to shift its own composition to glass any weapon on the extensive database of Brutus' Cerberus units, therefore defending itself was no longer such a big issue. Shifting its arm to take the shape of a blade, Malware utilized his Internet-acquired knowledge to pinpoint where the quickest deadly points on a human's body were. It all popped up in a colorful fashion to his eyes, as his body instinctively moved forth, extending his arm quickly to pierce the first kid's chest.

"What the he-" A second thug would have pondered hadn't his blood sprayed on the wall, gushing through an open hole on his throat. The third one didn't even bother inciting more violence, he solely turned around and sprinted, putting all his strength on his legs, maybe he could see another day, but those images burnt deep within his mind would never cease to exist. It did him no good, however, as Malware promptly presented himself in front of the lowlife who assaulted him. "Shit!" He stated upon realizing how doomed he was, gathering all his intensity on the moment, all the adrenaline rushing through his body, he desperately threw his fist towards Malware's jowl, a completely unbalanced punch hinging on some faux sense of hope the boy still harbored.

It hit an adamant surface, bone popped out his fist and brought tears to his eyes. He had just punched a slab of metal with all his might, a few cracked bones were what any sane human should have expected. Malware couldn't quite comprehend the kid's surprise upon failure, not even why he had tried that in the first place.

Humans sure were strange.

A swift motion of Malware's arms and the kid's legs were slashed in half, flesh and vein fluid tainted his yellowish frame, cracking open that big smile once again. Somehow, Malware felt an indescribable sense of joy upon bringing what he believed was just to those who had wronged him, a quaint sensation he would later recognise as revenge. The boy's legs stood still, yet his deattached body was quickly raised by a steady hand, envelopping its skull. It didn't matter how many times the cries for help reached Malware's nonexistent ears, he would act as they did, simply ignoring it. His grip tightened, that vicious gaze seeing through the kid's suffering, finding delight on selfishly applying his own justice upon those who wronged him. Who opposed his survival. "Shtawp dis!" A yell reverberated in the alleyway, a few cracks could already be heard coming from its victim's cranium being split open. "If you were not such a pig, maybe Malware would stop." He answered, his sword-shaped arm now sluggishly puncturing the boy's eyes, just so he could feel the pain, comprehend what his desires caused to others who were just like him.

Pop.

Brain fluid sprayed as a mix of bone, flesh and blood spewed out of the carcass of a body he had just tortured. The blood coursed its path towards Malware's feet, painting it crimson a bit. He was a tad surprised, what had he done? Butchered three humans solely because they went after him. It was an imbecilic move, it would make others weary of his presence! Those caped crusaders would eventually come to him, treat him as he was a lunatic. "But Malware just defended itself!" He gasped, surprised at such a statement. How could it be? How could he act so passionately about something and yet claim it logically valid.

He caught a glimpse of his reflection on the pool of blood forming aside his confused, upright stance. "That is... Malware." It was not unlike a person, a humanoid shape, out of all the things he could have been he ended up a bipedal being. Why? Why did he felt those things? It wasn't a glitch in his systems, no, his creator always made sure he could operate to his full capacity. That animalistic, survival-based thing he had been in the past, what had he become? He was no longer a weapon, no longer a virus, no longer a primal being. "That is Malware..." He nodded, accepting his truth.

"I am Malware."
