Near the Grand Canyon - Arizona

The crash had sounded like thunder, the air split as the meteor-like object pierced the stratosphere. The unidentified falling object landed with a satisfying krakoom, sending rock and soil flying high into the air. The crater webbed through the countryside for almost a mile in every direction, the ground split where the alien had landed. In the center, slowly, the creature uncurled, the cannonball position a natural one for interstellar travel. Methodically, the creature stood, baring tombstone-block teeth. A tattered blue cape unfurled behind the otherwise-nude alien, pink body muscled yet completely smooth. The only orifices visible were the mouth, ears, and eyes, of which there were three.

The third one, situated in the middle of the thing's forehead, flashed, a vision of helicopters flying overhead preceding the actual response. The probability vision, as his people called it in their tongue, would not fail him in his endeavor today. An act of vengeance, upon not just the world, but the one who'd drawn him to it. He'd heard legends of the planet, situated within what seemed to be every corner of every galactic government; it had staved off numerous wide-scale invasions in the past.

That was fine, for Gorroth was not one for conquering. He was intent on destroying one being alone. Any collateral damage brought about by his quarry's struggle was just a bonus.

The other life-forms would make a fine warm up. Gorroth the Unrelenting stood tall, his eyes adjusting to the Earth's sun and semi-perforated alien skin detecting the new temperature. He yelled in a language he'd memorized along the way, during his trip, shot from a hyper-space cannon meant to transport cargo. It was one sentence he'd prepared in particular, guttural and to the point. The cry would echo for miles, the yellow eyeball on his head flickering as the words passed between giant teeth:

"WHERE...IS...THE EARTH-MAN?"

  • Random Encounter: Unplanned, organic storyline. Villain without a significant arc - more like something to fight for the sake of worldbuilding.
  • It's open, but be reasonable.
  • Medium to semi-long posts, please. The single-line style of RP isn't really what I'm shooting for with these.
  • Other CVU Rules apply - No no-selling, auto-hitting, GMing, mass destruction, etc.
  • OOC can be in this thread, but please keep it spoiler-blocked. No parentheses stuff.
  • Alright, rumble.

@dominance Random Character building exercise for a random character. This sounds fun. Pulling out from ROTB.

Grommash Mayan

No Caption Provided

Strength: Grom carries with his fists the strength to contend against the Giants of Shea under even terms. He does this through his own personal strength, and that of his own ability, which usually leads him to win.

Speed: Grom has always been fast enough to react to his foes, having gone so far as to react to a strike from the Phantom, on one occasion. He can make leaps of extreme distances.

Dominance: Grom exudes an aura of majesty, which enables him to overpower most foes. Its effects only become visible in prolonged combat, with Grom's continuous supply of near limitless stamina and energy becomes apparent.

Bloodline Ability:Demi-form Bear: This bloodline ability of the Bear Tribe of the Mayan clan has three forms that a user can tap into.

1. Bear Paws: Grom can turn his hands into furred paws, which grants him extra power in each of his swings.
2. Bear Hybrid: Grom can turn both his legs and arms into those of a furry bear, but stands upright. This makes him both faster and stronger than normal form.
3. Bear Mode: Grom turns into a 20 ft. tall Bear that's almost 20 times stronger than his base form. He looks and behaves more like a bear in this form.

Axe & Blade: These are Grom's trusted weapons, forged from bones of a Steel Dragon, near unbreakable any foe that they have ever met with.

Intelligence: Despite the Barbaric looks, Grom is actually an expert in battle tactics. He is never one to blindingly charge for battle.

Experience: Grom has participated in 2 realm wars in the short span of his life. He has fought countless battles, his victories are uncountable, and his losses number less than fingers on his hands.

Skills: Grom is skilled in Wrestling as a discipline.

Grommash is a warrior born of the mountains of Toroshia. In a cold, desolate landscape, he'd learned to fight since a young age. Otherwise known as Grom, hw used to serve in his uncle's court, as an errand boy. This was until he was wrongfully accused of plotting against the Lord of Toroshia, and the attempt to kill him via poisoning.

Grom would be killed, but was saved by his uncle, the [White Grizzly] and was promptly sentenced to exile in Shea. Grom had always been an extremely loyal man to his friends, unafraid of putting his life on the line for them. Years of struggles later, Grommash Mayan had himself become the strongest man to live in Toroshia, and successively, its Lord.

Afterwards, he'd heard that Ali had left for the world outside, and soon, he too left for the outer world, in search of adventure, and perhaps a chance to fight him. But finding Ali would be no easy task. He was hard to track down, with almost no signs of him in the world.

Grom was certainly not sure where on the world he was currently in. There were what looked liked canyons and plateaus. Grom had casually climbed on top of one, overlooking a river. And then a meteor streaked across the sky. This peaked his interest. Grom stood up, at over 7 feet in height. He was young, only around 26, and yet, hair covered most of his face. This was testimony to his heritage as being from the Bear clan. Underneath, he was as young as any his age.

"I wonder..." Grommash would make a leap, high into the air, leading to the eventual destruction of a portion of the ground he was standing on top of. It would harm no one, Grom had decided, as he went in the general direction as the meteor.

"WHERE...IS...THE EARTH-MAN?"

Grommash heard this sound as he closed in on the impact crater. Some kind of creature, red in color, and his forehead flashed not moments ago.

With his Axe, ready for a fight, Grom had slid down into the crater and moved towards the creature. "My name is Grommash Mayan. Who is this Earth Man you speak of? As far as I know, this whole world is called Earth, and this Earth Man could refer to anyone," Grommash Mayan brought to the table, his most charismatic and charming attributes. His bloodlust was zero, and despite how threatening he looked, there would be no reason to fear him at all.

From the looks, this creature was looking for a fight, something Grom could give, but not necessarily before being acquainted with his opponent. No matter how savage the beast looked, it was no mistake that the creature was intelligent. And that would make it fools errand to just blindingly charge in. And so, Grom calmly waited around 5 feet away, waiting for an answer.

@lowlaville:

Gorroth turned to face the primitive-looking "Grommash," massive muscles rippling as he crossed his arms in a universally-accepted position of power. The tattered blue cape which had accompanied him on his re-entry to Earth waved in the atmospheric breeze behind him, fin on his head twitching slightly as he thought. The three eyes peered at the creature, an attack not yet foreseen. Grommash, in Dominance's future-seeing eye, merely stood still, awaiting an answer. He was obliged.

"Do not feign ignorance. The Earth-Man boasted that he was the strongest and most-loved in this entire system; he claimed his own to be a name known to all on this backwater world."

Gorroth's time spent hurtling through space had been practiced refining his grasp of alien languages. To his species, it was intuitive, so long as they had a reference to work with. Earthan radio signals had been picked up in the past by various alien species, and as a matter of trivia, Gorroth had tuned in, so as to get a better grasp of the way they spoke. He didn't care much for the content, finding it pedantic and largely non-violent.

"You will bring him here for Gorroth to crush, or Gorroth will split your head apart," he continued, cracking his massive neck.

"Do not feign ignorance. The Earth-Man boasted that he was the strongest and most-loved in this entire system; he claimed his own to be a name known to all on this backwater world."

That posture, did the beast think it was some kind of hero? A hero with a cape. The likes of them, Grommash had never seen before. It was intelligent alright, standing with his arms crossed. It appeared naked, but there was nothing to actually suggest so. It was akin to something that just crawled out of the ocean.

"Well, I don't think I am your man,"

Grom hesitated to leave. For two reasons: first, it could just attack from behind. Second, it could be dangerous to leave it just be. This crater which stretched out for around a mile was evidence of this. This was not something Grom would leave to wreak havoc and destruction on the world abound. He might not be of the world, or knew about it, but he wouldn't just let anyone bring harm to this tiny world. The creatures that lived on it were frail. Weak. It would be as easy as crushing a twig, for this creature to bring harm to them.

"You will bring him here for Gorroth to crush, or Gorroth will split your head apart,"

A sneer spread across his face as the creature who addressed himself as Garroth assumed his stance, ready to fight. The creature carried no weapons, nor would Grom, he decided, letting his Axe fall to the ground. There would be ample opportunities to arm himself if he ever needed to. The thrill of facing an unknown and possibly life threatening foe, made his veins pump and his muscles flex. He clenched both his fists.

"I'd like to see you try!" Grom activated his dominance. A surge of light seeped from his core, surrounding him. This light was his own unique ability no other being in the realm possessed. It preserved life, and death unto his foes. He had no limits known to this ability, but he would very much like to find that out. Those that had beaten him the past were either too strong or too fast for him to contend with. Was this foe going to be similar?

@dominance: @lowlaville:

*CAW*

She squinted, one hand held in front of the bill of her cap, and the other clutching the strap of her bag, as she watches the object fall.

I could've sworn it was a meteor something. It looked almost like it fell down here.

The soon to be queen of chemistry wandered about, snapping pictures on a camera as she walked. Even if it wasn't going to be a good encounter, it would at least make for a good souvenir anyway! Of course, the minor tremor the thing sent through the ground obliterated any kind of notion of it being some passing interstellar object.

Oh, I gotta see this!

She looked around, squinting. There are a rock there, and it seemed a good place to hide a bag. It is in the middle of nowhere, after all. And hopefully something doesn't go through and rummage through all her food and supplies. The only thing she decidedly takes being her camera. Probably just a crashed satellite.

Oh my goodness! I could get down there. Or um....I could walk away. Let it handle itself.....

....Nah.

She looks gazes down, a rock kicking over the edge and rolling down the chasm walls for a bit before it plummets down. She couldn't tell the depth of the chasm at a glance, but it was deep enough that if someone wanted, they could fit the world's a tallest building down there, and it wouldn't come close to hitting the top of the chasm. But as she'd come to learn it isn't the fall that kills, as it is more so the sudden stop at the end.

She backed up, bending at the knees a bit to get a running start. She stared not down, only forward, as she bolted off and long jumped off the side of the cliff and into the grand canyon.

Here goes nothing!
Here goes nothing!

Her arms round and round in front of her face and the feeling of weightlessness sank in with the wind rushing by faster and faster. Each second, Amani was gradually accelerating to the ground from roughly a 5,000 foot drop. Her eyes squinted and her hands moved instinctively to shield her face, but she knew that she had to hold them at her sides. Still learning her powers, the girl is completely incapable of most any form of flight on her own, the "ion thrusters" that her hands used being unable to generate sufficient thrust to propel her body and significant speed. What she could do, however, was generate enough propulsion to gradually slow down her terminal velocity. So thusly, the speed at which she hit the ground would be gradually decreased, with her having lots of room. Her eyes struggled at dissecting through the wind, but her hands were necessary to push her forward, away from the rocks of the cliff and for her slow herself down vertically. Ionized air surged from her hands, stronger and stronger as the ground grew nearer and nearer....

Before she landed to the ground on all threes, a small dust cloud appearing

By the time she had gotten there, it was already a faceoff. On one end, you had some kind of red naked, alien, demon looking......thing with a third eye and no private parts. And then in the other end, you have this sort of bearded warrior who looked like some Barbarian straight outta Asgard. She silently listens to them from above the canyon's steep, the general silence of the area lending to her hearing. From what she garners, the clearly evil looking guy is a violent alien who's about to go stomp around the earth in some kind of unstoppable quest for any number of people.

Unless he thinks that earth man is a superhero or something. No one I've ever heard of. Who'd be dumb enough to name themselves earth man?

Que the attempt at a tactical roll behind a rock. She hisses her teeth out of frustration, as she already gets a scratch from the maneuver. Blood drawn, and the fight hasn't even started yet. Still yet, they continue and she hears them more plainly, seemingly in the midst of what she called the "Trash talk" stage of the fight.

She appeared in a flash of pink color, a neon aftermirage following her wherever she ran, as she appeared perpendicular to the two men in what looked like to the external user, a flash of light.

"HEY!"

She waited a few moments, surprised if she actually managed to gather their attention, scratching the back of her head as she thought about what she wanted to say before she blurted out something dumb.

"I'm Amani!"

Crapcrapcrapcrap

"....You guys don't need to fight! There is no such guy named Earth-Man, at least not someone who's popular....anyway. Uh. Uh...What did he....look like?"

She gave the man as close a it could come to a reassuring, warm smile, her arms clasping behind her back as even from this distance, she looked at him, unable to quite stop staring at that weird third eye on his forehead.

Sightseeing was never truly sightseeing in this particular U.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww crappppp
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww crappppp

Especially when one such as Curve was constantly in vigilante garb. The hot sun blaring down on him, he was almost thankful for the fact that his nerves could feel absolutely nothing, and as the Kodak disposable camera took a few more snapshots of the beautiful canyon before him, he whistled, lowering the camera and putting it back on his mostly weapon-coated belt. Cartoon eyes glancing up to the park ranger that had so kindly allowed him to get such a great view, he smiled, red mask barely making an indentation as he did so. "Thanks again, Ranger Rick. I know how hard it is for you to make these sorts of exceptions to the rules, but hey, I get it! Don't want the common crowd to fall off the cliffside. Makes sense, makes sense."

The ranger was silent, save for the slow drip of blood coming from the sword wound in his chest to the floor below.

"Yeah, it really is a great view, innit? To think, of all the places in the world, this nice ol' park just maintains it's serenity, complete lack of devastation or intrusion. I mean, hell, alien monsters land in New York City on a weekly, but this place? Absolutely perf-"

BOOM.

"Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww crap."

Turning his head, he spotted on the horizon a huge smoke trail leading from a newly found crater, wave of dust spreading for miles around. "Stay here, ranger! As a superhero, this is sorta my specialty." With a wink, he grabbed the stainless steel katana and unsheathed it from it's current sheath (the ranger's stomach). Again without a word, the park ranger slid down the rock slab he had been stuck to, and lifelessly fell off the side of the Grand Canyon. Curve did not watch this, however, and instead just expected to meet up with the ranger in une momento.

Then, with a sprint, he headed for the crash site, ready to kill or be killed by whatever so happened to be in there.

Minutes later.

"HEY!" Curve shouted, stopping in his tracks as he arrived at the edge of the crash site. Before him was quite the array of superhumans. Er... presumably, superhumans. PCs are usually superhumans. Curve thought to himself, as he reached behind him, fingers going past his dual katanas and instead grabbing the strap to his UMP-45. "What's the deal here?" He questioned, neatly turning the safety off the submachine gun and pointing it wildly at all who were present.

He vaguely recalled hearing the echo of "Where is the EARTH-MAN" on his jog over to the site, and presumed that the big ass alien was the one responsible. So now, he pointed the gun at him. "You're looking for the Earth-Man? 'Cuz we've got lots of those here." Probly looking for a PC, too... but with all the alts, that'll still only narrow it down to a few hundred.

He slid over to the anime girl, hoping she'd have more of a grasp on the situation than he currently did.

"Pssst! Sailor Moon! Who is this guy?" He whispered to Soliton, hoping to get some answer or another.

That....is not proper etiquette, the Queen of Mewni thought as she heard the conversations between the alien and other individuals he should not be nude what lack of modesty and in front of a child no less. Star appeared off as nothing but a dot in the horizon due to the extreme distance she was from Gorroth however she used Speed Burst to close the distance between them in a mere moment, she stopped a dozen meters away then crossed her palms together and observed the situation enfold.

A sense of regalness flowed out of her presence yet she did not speak to the alien but instead examined her surrounding environment already preparing in her mind for the worst, It's so predictable there's always that one foe looking to harm anyone until they faced someone capapble of defeating them. UG's eyes glanced towards Soliton with visible concern and couldn't stop herself from voicing it out "Ahem, child"the Queen raised her hand and tilted it as she gestured "pardon my ruefulness but I believe it would be wise to keep a distance back"

@soliton: @curve: @ultra_girl_: @lowlaville:

In his future-sight, Gorroth saw Grommash aglow with a nuclear fire, a light so bright it made him squint in the present. It did him no discernible harm, however, so he simply stood still, glaring at the luminous warrior with a disdain born of his alien origins. Gorroth was a weapon, a being meant to be superior to others in the realm of martial combat; to that end, he'd been endowed with the ability to foresee that which was about to occur, warning him of the arrival of three others to the site of his landing. His sight was not impeded by the glowing being, for he'd gazed at stars in the vacuum of space without protective eyewear; compared to that, this was simply a minor disturbance.

No Caption Provided

A small one, he thought, turning his crimson eyes lazily to Amani. He smiled, pointed teeth reflecting the sunlight. "He spread his legend, amongst other things, far throughout the stars. Your great hero must answer for his misdeeds. As must his planet."

More lackeys, he thought, shaking his head as Curve and the Queen of Mewni arrived on the scene. The tights-wearing talker brandished a weapon of some sort, a slugthrower by the looks of it. Physical bullets could do a great deal of harm, and they were far cheaper than energy weapons; to Gorroth, however, it might as well shoot dust.

"Enough."

The massive blue cape fluttered to the ground, shrugged from his shoulders.

Gorroth's eye continued to flash, activating as he foresaw his own plethora of attacks against the primary target, Grommash. What amplified Gorroth's physical prowess beyond that of every foe he'd ever faced was his uncanny ability to gauge the success of his attacks before he began them, testing in his mind the multitude of ways a foe might evade his strikes. The probability gland worked independently of his mind and perceptions, able to inform him of the future by means of interlacing with the time-stream; to that end, he could see whether or not a thrown punch might be dodged, intercepted, or physically tanked without issue. Bearing that in mind, he decided on a Sty'Max multi-strike, a technique he'd torn from the repertoire of another species' greatest warrior.

The advantage of using such a series of strikes against Gorroth was in the ability to rapidly change up his individual targets on the fly, adjusting based on whether or not he foresaw Grommash's evasion. For example, if he foresaw Grommash intercepting the fist heading straight for his face, he'd instead choose another approach, going low, towards where Grommash would be open. Or, were Grommash fast enough to step out of range, he would instead leap farther forward before commencing the series of attacks, accounting for Grommash's dodge.

In any case, the fact of the matter was that Gorroth's power essentially enabled him to isolate and enact the most effective maneuver, aiming to cripple Grommash with a series of jabs to vital areas, finishing with a throw towards the closest population center. Gorroth's foresight combined with his alien ultra-physique and deceptive speed would hopefully enable him to strike Grommash at least five separate times, accounting for dodges on-the-fly by perceiving them before they could even occur and adjusting.

How does his ability work against someone with experience, who can practically predict how his opponent is going to strike and where, based on how he moves? Basically someone who has been in thousands of fights against hosts of different opponents? Grom doesn't have precog, no; but he can react to extremely fast speeds and is a fighter in his own right.

"Pssst! Sailor Moon! Who is this guy?" He whispered to Soliton, hoping to get some answer or another.

Amani delved deep into her somewhat encyclopedic knowledge of superhero lore and important figures in today's lore.

"....I unno. He fell from the sky. I think he's an alien. And your...Dreadpool, right? Drake? Shogun of Sarcasm?" She thinks some more. "I saw his eye flicker a bit....I wonder if it does something. Maybe it lets him see our spirits? Or our Aura. Or something. Cause third eye or something symbolic. Or whatever."

Another chick appears, and with a moments contemplation.

Ultra Girl.

"I'll be careful." She replied to her simply, keeping her eyes locked on the man now. Determined to attempt to anticipate the man's next move. She reactivly jerks in reaction to the thing's speed and quick speed, her heart beginning to race as she watches him rush forward with a furious set of strikes to try to open up his opponent.

No Caption Provided

*ZOOP*

The girl seemingly disappears in a flash of purple light, a violet after-image left in her wake. She dashing off at speeds akin to earth's greatest athletes, with her hand extended, as her arm begins to castle and electrons in front of her palm. She orients her hand, towards the man as she moves to get a good enough angle on him without having to worry about hitting the man. Her hand oriented just right.

Lightning was hard to aim. It took the path of least resistance and could arc off in all kinds of directions. The air itself inhibited it's range, and it was a grossly inefficient use of her power by itself, albeit a powerful and startling one. Discovering the endless possibilities her powers granted, through enough practice, she learned something far more efficient. A laser.

It struck mostly silent, a crackling noise briefly audible in the air as she aimed it towards the man's face. It'd been focused with the intent purpose of making it bright, almost a hundred times brighter than looking at the sun. Hopefully, it might blind or at least disrupt the man, and give any attackers the opening they might need.

Actual precognition VS battle extrapolation is what we're looking at here, if what you're asking me how to sell the attack. I don't think it's really a complicated question of what would happen. I'm not going to tell you how to sell the attack, the point of RP is for that to be your choice - just bearing in mind the way the character works. It does say in the bio that physically engaging him is basically suicide.

I have ideas of how to sell. I meant how Gorroth would sell interception, counters & blocks.

"....You guys don't need to fight! There is no such guy named Earth-Man, at least not someone who's popular....anyway. Uh. Uh...What did he....look like?"

Grom took a glance at the girl who had come to stand at a side. "Child. He spoke of splitting my skull open. I'm sure I do," Grom shook his head, politely disagreeing.

A man in red suit, Curve, a clown, had appeared and seemed equally dangerous as the foe before him. Distractions. That's what they were. He shook his head, before returning his gaze back to the red creature: Gorroth.

The Red foe's cape fluttered to the ground, as it had become shrugged off by its wearer. What significance did it hold for the creature? Grom could only speculate. His 3rd eye kept flashing rapidly. Did it hold any significance whatsoever? Grom wondered. However it wasn't something for him. The armor he wore, would be his to wear on this day. The foe was unknown. And he had charged forward. However before the creature was able to make a move, the girl had made hers. A flash of blinding light, concentrated directly at Gorroth's face.

Grom would use this chance to brush sideways, and send a knee hurtling towards his midsection.

Switched because, I can't sell for Gorroth.

Even as he rushed the prideful warrior, Gorroth saw the events about to unfold before him seconds before they could actually happen. He witnessed the simultaneous rebuke of his charge, the young girl teaming with the more human-looking combatant in order to wreck his approach. He saw, in the future, a blinding light, directed into his eyes with the intent of blinding him, and it would've been successful - had it not been for his ability to see the future.

Even as Grommash directed a knee at his mid-section, the laser shot towards him - but unexpectedly, Gorroth tilted his head to the side, the beam passing by his ear instead. Rather than halt his assault, blinking quickly (as would've happened), he instead smiled, knowing that his split-second reaction would give the illusion of moving beyond-light-speed to a casual observer. The reality was that he could simply foresee the maneuver, and in dodging it, he was afforded ample time to respond to his primary opponent.

A knee coming for his stomach was what he foresaw. Just as he dodged the energy beam, he stopped, putting the brakes on his charge; his feet dug into the ground, dust kicked up all around, as he twisted to the side, a mighty fist coming around rather than directly attacking the barbarous warrior. The first strike deflected, the knee pummeled away, would leave Grommash open instead to a grapple. Because his weight was thrown forwards with a flying knee, Gorroth could take advantage.

At blinding speeds, Gorroth sought to wrap his massive fingers around Grom's face, driving him into the dirt beneath their feet. Then, provided he'd been successful, he'd proceed to throw him as a projectile towards the young girl who had presumed to attack him with the laser. Given Gorroth's immense strength, dazzling speed, and atop it all, precognitive abilities, such a close-quarters strike was almost a guaranteed success.

The moment Grom had asserted that his opponent had shifted his figure slightly in order to dodge the girl's attack, Grom had actually stopped his advance. He had been in far too many fights. Whatever may have been seen, his opponent had actually seemingly reacted to a lightspeed attack. Grom could not be care less in dealing with such a foe. It did provide him just a fraction of a second to alter his game plan.

He observed the opponents movements. Only a fraction of a second was afforded. His knee still going forward, Grom would simply shift his balance sideways just as the creature's arms came towards his legs, using his left arm to try and grab his right, around the elbows. If he was successful, he would then gradually land his extended leg down, and use it to sweep against the creature's left leg, while simultaneously aiming to grab Gorroth's throat, and plant him down on the ground as hard as he could.

The creature's massive arms would grab his head, but Grom would simply use the force of his counter to shake him off. If he was not successful, he would simply bash his head against the creature's chest until Gorroth released his grip. The constant supply of energy and Stamina via 'Dominance' meant Grom would continue to fight just as he had started the battle, from start to finish.

So here, the snake women in question was using Haki to predict Luffy's movements. But they still end up hitting the woman regardless, because of her inability to dodge or make a move to block them. I'll use the same mechanic with Grom. Unless Gorroth moved in a way that Grom could not react to Gorroth in time or place due to situational disadvantage, no conventional attack will hit him.

Even if you can see the future, its really on your ability to react. Just because your bio entails it's "suicide" to go physical against Gorroth, does not have to mean I would be expected to sell your hits. Or that you cannot be beaten in CQC. If an opponent who is fast enough to react AND contend on physical terms, Gorroth would have no choice but to prove it via his ability to do so.

I might go on to explain [Phantom] referenced in the speed of Grom's bio. She is a chick who is much much faster than Ali.

I'm explaining this because you assumed I was asking you for pointers on how to sell his attacks. I was asking you how he would behave in a similar scenario as put above.

You're taking this too seriously if you're trying to use scans to prove why you did something. You shouldn't really be asking him how he will react. That's for you to see in the next post ideally, not something that you need to know! Simply, sell in a way as engaging to narrative. It's supposed to be spontanious and him saying "It's suicide" is more alluding to how he's going to go about selling most CQC attacks.

If you want to get him to sell an attack, then you should simply write a logical reason as to why he should in writing.

TLDR "Don't ask how someone would react in a fight. Just fight in a way that is interesting."

Maybe I am. That "practical suicide" clause to me, read as more narcissistic than anything else, really. Hence why I justified my move with a scan, because I fear he would take that as me no-selling his hits, which is not my intention to begin with. My point was, if said hits were something Grom couldn't realistically avoid, dodge or otherwise tank, I wouldn't make efforts of doing it.

Thirdly, I think its a trust issue as well. Mostly an issue I have.

Precognition in addition to explosively powerful muscles rendered Grommash's dodge, however skillful it would've been, irrelevant to Gorroth. Why? Because the attack would never have taken place. Even mid-charge, the moment the Forceful Foreseer's powers informed him of the potential for a successful dodge, he'd alter his strategy. It was folly to think he would follow through on a blow he knew was destined for failure, rendering his opponent's potential dodge an impressive feat - if only in a world without precognition.

Hah! he thought, yellow optic blaring, brain-cells firing. In that moment, it was as though Gorroth was in another place, a thoughtful "mind area" of sorts in which time flowed so slowly it might as well have been standing still. In that moment, he adjusted his strategy.

Rather than continue with his attempt to strike Grommash in the knee, Gorroth would instead alter his stance the moment his glowing third eye saw Grommash's expert maneuvering. What had been set in stone but a second ago would now change, the foundation of the future Gorroth knew in that moment shattered by virtue of his actions in the present. Rather than strike at the knee, Gorroth struck out with a right cross, bringing a massive hand to bear on Grommash's left ear as he passed by him. The force of the blow would leave a sonic boom rippling across the air, a prime punch powered by precognition.

The man was fast, a blur before Amani's eyes. However, even human heroes sidestepped bullets all the time without being speedsters, per say. She was amazed by the man's freakish speed, that being something she'll have to watch out for. As Amani saw him revving to throw the man, she began to break practically, shooting ions from her hands like a jet in front of her and prepping for an evasion. But, the man held his ground!

....He's holding him!

She left nothing in the realm of auditory Que, having no discreet way of communicating with the man at hand.

The air around her began to....shake. Vibrate distinctly, a charge all around her, in the air, as she moved to the man's side from some 30 feet way. The two struggled and Amani sought to take advantage of this opportunity. She held out her hand to aim, instead opting for a center mass shot, rather than the quick swiveling neck. The torso, was the biggest target, and if the man proved strong enough to hold him in place? It could work perfectly. Or fail horribly.

God this is so telegraphed. Here goes nothing!

The laser comes first, ionizing the air. The pseudomagnetic field formed all around her, bracing against a mass of functional plasma as opposed to her comparitivelty fragile body. A stream of electrons moving forward at 10% the speed of light or 67,061,662.9 miles per hour. The ground near the beam cackled and boiled upon the beam's entry, sand glassing over and flying back from the Thunderous noise of the Power Princess ripping the air apart. Far beyond the point of mere thunder and lightning, the Multi-Megawatt blast had enough energy to power a block, all focused into a narrow beam with objective of super heating the man to more than four hundred thousand degrees Fahrenheit and moving them at enough speed to tunnel past the man's electron clouds and go straight to his central nervous system.

Free Electron Laser
Free Electron Laser

The beam became more difficult to maintain with each fraction of a second that passed. Like a muscle, her power responded to her thought. Immense amounts of energy required immense focus, and to maintain the beam for more than a tenth of a second pressed itself on her. A stream of blood came from one nostr and her teeth clamped down any more than it did, they'd probably crack. Two seconds, and her hand dropped, her vision swimming and her gasping for air from the air vacuum she created, as she staggered back and fell onto the sandy ground from the power of her own attack.

She wiped blood from her nose, her vision not clear enough for her to yet see what actually has happened.

@dominance: @soliton:As the battle raged on the Queen of Mewni did not jump into the fray as there were just too many individuals present and she believed that assaulting Gorroth in that moment would only hinder everyone that's fighting him so she stood back with her guard up and analyzed every action her potential opponent did, learned his movements and abilities with out having to risk damage to herself at the cost of others however this wasn't because she was a coward or unwilling to fight but rather the decades of combat experience in Mewni had taught her that if there was an opportunity to examine her foe with no risk to herself it was best to take it.

Star was already beginning to a formulate a strategy based on the actions Gorroth did over time when she saw Amani fall backwards after an impressive display of power, Tarnations I told the child to be careful UG furrowed her brows slightly and unsheathed her sword then carefully paced sideways towards the adolescent while keeping her eyes locked on Gorroth "child, are you okay?" Ultra Girl dropped to a knee and took a moment the glance at the girls face then placed a palm on the young ones chest to check her vitals "don't deceive me, be honest on your condition with the strict details"the Queen said in a gentle yet still stern tone when then she grew a mortified face as she remembered another young one in Mewni who died fighting in similar conditions.

"Speak to me please..."the mortified face remained but Star's voice was soft almost sad as she clutched her sword with one hand tighter.

Amani sat, turning her head rapidly trying to garner some sense of direction as to where the woman is. The voice was familiar and she was still conscious, as she sat up right. But she was dizzy, her vision blurring and bleeding from the nose. A few moments passed and her vision has yet to clear enough for her to garner what's happening.

"I'm fine." She staggers to her feet. "I uh, feel wooozy." She wipes the blood from her nose onto her arm, trying to smear it off as she tries to see the effects of her attack, unconsciously leaning towards the woman. "Not gonna be able to do another one of those for a while."

She squints, looking towards the direction of dominance as her vision begins to clear.

Just moment's after the monster's eyes flashed, what Grom thought was going to happen, or at least, what he had thought Gorroth's actions were going to be, his pattern changed entirely. The hand he thought he was going to intercept, never came. What did meet him however, was a vicious attack directed at the side of his face.

It was already far too late by the time he had noticed. The massive fist struck him around the jaw as he tried to evade as best as he could, a powerful fist such as his, sent Grom hurtling a few hundred meters across the crater just as laser thing darted at Gorroth.

The fist, it hurt, gave him an aching jaw, but Grom had survived worse punches. He got up, rubbing the side of his face. 'Dominance' had already started working, and any damage left in his bones or skin would be repaired on short notice. What does those flashing eyes mean, anyway? Grom wondered, heading into battle. It flashed continuously, though nothing observable had yet to happen in Grom's perspective. Was the eye just for show, then?

Grom walked over to Soliton. She was apparently hurt firing that laser, "You alright?" He asked her, a look of concern on his face.

Gorroth grinned as his blow connected, satisfyingly carrying out the attack in real-time just as he had foreseen. The warrior had responded adequately, exceeding all expectations; his speed forced the Unrelenting to account for numerous possible outcomes and change up his strategy on the fly. Doing so had suitably impressed him, as had the man's apparent survival.

But even as victory was felt in the present, a future threat made itself known. He witnessed the power of Amani's luminous beam, how giving all her energy into one blow would light up the sky; he raised a hairless brow in the present even as he saw it about to happen. It was then that he made his choice, planting his feet firmly in the ground. He knew he would survive, and while the pain would be immense, the demonstration that would follow would serve to make his presence all the more threatening.

And so, he simply remained still, yelling defiantly as the beam tore through at his body. The superheated energy rippled against his cosmic flesh, cracking muscle and penetrating deeply through all defense. His guttural warcry was silenced in his throat, what passed for his innards liquefied in the moment Amani's powerful attack collided with his skin. He was forced back, sliding across the ground and picking dust up with him. Pain, for a long while unknown to the alien, seethed through all fibers of his form, energizing him, causing him to bare his fangs.

"Well...struck!" he said, opening his three eyes to glare in their direction with a grandiose smile. He laughed as the massive hole in his chest began to repair itself, muscular fibers seeding through one another and pulling him back together as though he were made of putty. And indeed it were, for no other being in the past half-cycle could boast to have wounded Gorroth so. The puny Earth girl had spirit.

"But alas. Not enough," he chuckled, finally surrendering himself to grandiloquence. Another universal constant for the unfathomably strong.

Stepping forwards, he brought his hands together in a mighty clap, seeking to send a shockwave careening towards the motley crew that had opposed his triumph. The force of the air-blast was enough to instantly strip away all plant life between himself and the heroes, the sound enough to deafen all caught within; it was as though a force of nature itself had been unleashed on those who sought an end to his crusade.

"I'm fine!"

She replies again, this time to the muscular maybe Asgardian (or something) man, her expression softening for a moment as she follows up with a soft "Thanks" not wishing to scorn him for his concern. She looks past him however, peering into Gorroth and seeing that he the beam had indeed managed to work, to much greater effect than she'd thought. Instead of just stunning him, the beam clearly tore a hole in him.

"I hurt him!" And I was the first to do it!

Though it's already beginning to heal.

She does her best to maintain an air of optimism, looking side to side towards her current comrades, seeking to make a suggestion. "Maybe if someone can hurt his head, that can be what takes him down." Amani blinked, realizing what she just said. This was the first enemy she'd encountered where something might be forced her to at the very least, contribute to a death in order to halt a rampage. What bothered most wasn't even the fact of this, but the fact that she empathized less with the man for some reason. Maybe because he's not human, and a "jerk?" She wasn't really sure. And at the moment, she had no time to appropriately process let alone understand such questions.

The man's hand reared back, and she saw what was coming. A common move among such super-strength based brutes known as the "thunderclap." It was seemingly something like an explosion so Amani sought to deal with it in a way as she had dealt with explosions in the past from things like explosive shells from Brahma brotherhood tanks even. Ironically, as much as she hated militaries and mercenaries for their oppressive nature, she learned about the concept from an experimental military weapon. A plasma forcefield. It worked by creating a difference in air density, temperature and pressure to functionally absorb a large portion

A split second later and her hands raise, ionizing and ripping apart the air. The temperature rose exponentially in the air in front of her, but the light was dull, and the heat didn't travel anywhere behind her. The shockwave came, sounding like thunder and slamming against the forcefield, the field slowing down and negating much of the damage, slowing it down to less deadlier speeds.

However, solid shrapnel with high temperature resistance like various rocks penetrated fine, and it simply lessened the explosion, not negating it. The explosion went from being like being hit by a flying brick wall, to functionally being scooped up by a tornado. The field disappearing half a second after the hit, and Amani going with it as she flew away like plush toy.To generate the field strained her enough, and her small body smacking into the wall was more than enough than the light tap needed to put her out cold.

Everything went black, her eyes rolling up into her head and eyes slowly, yet peacefully, coming shut as girl fell unceremoniously after bouncing from the wall, as she simply lands to the ground with a soft *plop.* Silently hoping to simply lessen the effect of the shockwave on her allies.

"Maybe if someone can hurt his head, that can be what takes him down."

Grom watched, as the Alien had healed the gaping hole made in his body, like it was nothing. Grom respected that. He was an opponent with apparent similar ability to him. The ability to come back from killer moves. Grom smiled. "Fun," He whispered, as the creature geared to blow with intensity.

Grom refused to hide behind a girl. He was far too arrogant to let that happen. He moved out of the girl's forcefield, covering his face as he braved for the invisible assault of sky-shattering force. Grom suffered no visible damage, but he felt his innards shudder, and his eardrums explode. Fortunately, he was able to negate the force of the blow to his eyes.

Even as 'Dominance' worked to repair what little damage his body had suffered from the shockwave attack, Grom had begun to move. He charged in a zig zagged pattern, picking up his Axe from the ground, he glanced back at the girl who was unconscious and the blonde woman who was standing quite a bit far away. He wanted to go all out, but if he did, he might end up harming his allies. That was his only worry. Grom let out a sigh, and decided on another course of action.

Letting Dominance channel into his Axe, Grom struct the ground with incredible force, shattering Earth in a line going towards Gorroth, splitting it at least 7 feet wide, going on for 200 meters, while simultaneously producing a shock-wave of destructive energy that would destroy any and everything in its path. Localized damage, Grom expected his opponent to make a move, and waited. What the girl had said ran through his mind.

The thing had indeed shrugged of a blow that was capable of tearing through his frame. Grom had no idea how powerful the beam that did that was. He could only speculate. However, the energy was mustered and pulsated with a mortal frame as catalyst, he rather wanted to experience the attack on himself, but Grom pushed all thoughts of such masochism from his mind and focused on the battle. He would have to ask the girl later, if he was interested in fighting him. He would attack the moment Gorroth made a hint to move. Grom would swing his Dominance powered Axe multiple times, producing shockwave attacks that would cut through the air towards Gorroth in erratic patterns.

Gorroth laughed, a booming sound that carried past his successful shockwave attack. The warrior had been too proud to hide behind the protective field of the small girl, who herself had met with a bit of shrapnel to the head; what an uncanny irony, that the brunt of his attack would be blocked yet the aftermath might neutralize the comparatively tiny opponent. His skin still smoldered, pain largely ignored as he prepped his next maneuver. In his foresight, he witnessed the splitting of the Earth beneath his feet, a shcokwave of destructive energy as recourse for his own.

Aha.

Crouching low, he jumped the moment the axes met the ground, narrowly avoiding the earth-shattering strike. Wind whipped behind him as he soared into the sky, focusing in on the warrior and his axes.

Such strength! he thought, grinning ear-to-ear. His upward momentum stopped, and he was naught but a dot in the sky; his descent began. Like a missile he dove towards the powerful fighter, roaring as he did. Fists clenched, he prepared to land directly on top of the fighter, whose own intent to launch the air-cuts his way might be changed by his wild dodge. Were nothing to change, however, he'd crash into the ground with such force as to create another crater, and force those who greeted him far away in the blast.

"You shouldn't be here fighting, this isn't your fight" the Queen said disturbed as she dropped to both knees and inserted her sword into the ground near by before she activated her Martial Spirit ability 'Sanctuary' then reality began to warp as her personal dimension came around the two females and wrapped the small area they were at in a bubble capable of teleporting individuals or attacks to another point in space or time, there the Queen would pull out a health potion and await for Amani to wake up.

She lied there, bruises all about her body with bits of rock and sand caught up in her cuts.

Come on brain! Work! I need to get up! I'm not done yet.s

Her body twisted, tensed and convulsed, her eyes clenching tight as her spirit struggled to tunnel it's way out of unconsciousness. Eyes flickered, still rolled up into the back of her head, her mind still consumed by the abyss, the voice pulling her more and more out. Someone...familiar? A friend? An ally?

"It is." Her eyes clenched shut, her chest rising off the ground as her head stayed down, still unconscious. "Everyone thinks that this isn't.....there problem....but it is. I have...a power now. I have to use it. I have to do something. I can't....just stand by anymore." Her eyes flew open, her breathing rapid, eyes darting around in her skull, finally coming to a calm as she processes that she is is in some sort of barrier. Her head slowly rises from the ground as she clutches it, feeling something slick. The hand goes in front of the face, and she sees that it is blood. Her blood.

Her hand lowers, and chin rests on knees, Amani's look still looking half glazed over, with her eyes deadened. As if yet still she is not awake. "If I don't. If everyone doesn't try to help....then everyone will just keep looking away. Even when they can do something....I have to-" She blinks. The color returning to her eyes, her pupils dilating, as she looks straight at Ultra Girl."What happened?" She slowly rises to her feet, looking over her body, dusting sand out of her c

She slowly rises to her feet, looking over her body, dusting sand out of her cut and painfully pulling a rock from her arm with a soft "ow." Her hand goes over her arm, and she closes her eyes, seemingly hugging her body as she begins to glow. Slowly, her wounds seem to seal themselves, Amani altering the electrons of her own organic molecules, to more so "mend" them together like glue, rather than proper healing. Cuts and scrapes disappearing from her face, tatters in her clothing disappearing as even the fabric of her clothes mends itself. The healing was hardly full, unable to un-do the damage of blunt force trauma or more complicated injuries she was incapable of pursuing, but it was best she could do on her own.

Her hands cackled with energy. her unlimited supply of energy reacting to the magnitude of her will. She drew upon her fear, her passion.

"We have to work together. Come on!" She looks at the woman, a fire forged within.

"Let me out. I can help. I hurt him! Let me help!"

@soliton: Ultra Girl was very relieved to see Amani alive even more when she saw the child heal her injuries before her very eyes yet the doubt of a mother was visible in her own eyes and while Amani was correct in a way the Queen was stubborn due to a certain bias from an event that happened in the past years ago "No, you will not"she stated sternly as the dome they were in radiated with Mewni energy "you were nearly killed by your reckless tactics and yes while indeed you contributed more than anyone else you also nearly died whilst no one else fighting the foe had come close to, a warrior wins by making his opponent die not by dying while fighting your opponent"the Queen stood up and stared down Amani with a ominous look as if her very eyes could inflict untold punishment.

But she stopped and looked at the ground before sighing knowing very well that she couldn't hold the child against her own wishes try as she might it wasn't her own child "Under three conditions...under three conditions I will allow you to fight"her eyes raised back up to look at Amani before she gently tossed the red vial in her hand "drinking this health potion is the first condition" the Queen raised her index finger then the middle one right next to it "second condition is you stay behind me at all times, I know you are capable of attacking at range so do so but under my defense" the Queen raised her ring finger "And finally if I see you suffer any more grievous injuries I swear under my oath as an Archon I will drop a dome so fast and not release it until some other warrior kills the enemy...with you in it as all that happens"

Amani's fist clenched as she looked down, her teeth gritting, and body glowing brighter of anger. Her brows furrowed, but she was unable to look her in the eyes, with the combination of that gaze and those words.

She's right....

"...Fine." A deep exhale escaped her lips, her expression seemingly defeated, her glow giving way at the same way. The Power Princess held her head up, her eyes flicking to the side every now and again as she clearly struggled to look her back in her eyes without faltering. Even with her eyes locked towards her, and the fire behind them, they still shook.

"We work together."

In a slow, and gentle motion takes the potion, removing the cap as she downed it mostly irregardless of it's taste. Externally, The soon-to-be Queen of chemistry could manipulate the electrons of external pains and less complex wounds by simply mending obvious parts of her flesh together. But this? It healed her entirely. The blunt force trauma. The concussion, her internal bleeding? Everything. She dropped the bottle, looking downwards at her hands. The cackled brightly with power, a fire, now and inferno.

Soliton looked at Ultra-Girl, lying in wait.

Grom, upon seeing his opponent dodge, his attack, was not entirely surprised. He had anticipated Gorroth to move. And in doing so, Gorroth would come under a lot of his intended ranged strikes, let lose from his Axe.

As the red barbaric being became but a dot in the sky, Grom cast a glance aside. His allies, the blonde warrior seemed to have made some kind of move, isolating her and the unconscious little lady behind some kind of protection. Grom heaved a sigh of relief, and turned his focus back on to the sky.

Peeling his gaze, Grom managed to spot the barbaric being come to a spot many hundreds of feet in the air, and then started making a steep drop, right towards him.

"That's it Gorroth. Right at me!" Grom let out a mighty roar, enough to be heard a mile. There were days when such a mighty roar would cull any resistance he met in battle. Not today. Grom knew it wouldn't. He mustered as much force as he could in his legs, before launching into the air towards Gorroth with tremendous ferocity. He intended for a mid-air collision, rather than one close to the ground, that might end up putting his allies at even graver positions than it already had been.

Grom had his Axe primed and ready. He would swing it towards Gorroth's neck after a collision that would send huge amounts of shockwaves ripping through the air. Grom's fists versus Gorroth's legs.

The two beings met in the air, and where they did, a shockwave rippled through the air, characteristic of any clash between beings of their caliber. Gorroth's muscle-structures rippled, the yellow eye on his forehed flashing in gleeful anticipation of the coming strike. Gorroth was not in a position to adequately dodge, his downward momentum inexorably carrying him towards Grom's axe blade. The courage of this being was commendable, even if it would lead to his demise.

Fool! thought Gorroth, wide eyes filled with battle-lust. He tilted his head to the side, contorting his body as he fell; where the axe would've cleaved at his neck before, it now only nicked the side, a spray of pink-ish ichor jetting from where it met. The powerful blade was imbued with energy strong enough to peel away at Gorroth's outer skin, and even as he foresaw the wound, he still howled for but a moment.

But the howl became a laugh, as they twisted so high above the Earth, falling back down; he locked eyes with Grom, the warrior's fists brutalizing his legs to no avail. Lightning crackled between Gorroth's teeth, shocking his mouth - a remnant of the power Amani had shot through his body. It'd bounced around the inside of his alien body, yet to find a home. He pulled a fist back.

"Your toy is not enough, weakling! Where is the Goldenheaded?" he roared, fist surging forward with explosive force right as they met the ground. Gorroth's intent? To drive Grom deep into the soil with a blow strong enough to crack mountains.

Grom knew of his own disadvantage, leaping up to meet the falling pink fleshed Gorroth. Gravity and downward momentum was on Gorroth's side. A strike he anticipated would send Gorroth's head flying off of his body with a 'plop', did not exactly transpire as he wanted. His fist met Gorroth's leg, and they seemed to have cancelled each other out. A massive ripple of shock emanated from the point of collision, rippling out for half a mile area in radius.

They crashed into each other like thunder, with a monstrous bang. But soon, they were falling back down to Earth.Grom, having lost all the momentum he generated on lift off, having being diffused by Gorroth, did not have enough leverage to move against him at all, as he crashed into the ground, Gorroth's massive fist delivering extra push and force, driving his head down into the ground with a boom.

The force was nothing to laugh at. It cracked the Earth inside the crater, forming into cracks and crumbling rocks. Grom spewed out a mouthful of blood. His felt his jaw crack and his brain almost splattered into paste. His vision blurred and almost faded out for a minor second. But Dominance was constantly working its magic. Grom couldn't be put down by something as measly as this. He groaned in pain. It felt like a mountain had just been dropped on his head.

It would be a while before Grom would be able to get up from this. This monster Gorroth, was something. It was strong. Not just that, he seemed to be smart. He'd forced the veteran of many battles to falter into such a sorry state. This, in Grom's mind, was a commendable feat of might and valor. Such opponents were rare, and sought after.

"Ugh..." It's been a long time since Grom suffered like this.

@lowlaville:

Amani stood, her energy revving, her willpower focused towards a different task than just taking pain. She listened to what Ultra Girl was telling her, deciding to take cover behind her as the impact invariably lead to an explosive outcry of air eminating from the point of two functional gods colliding, the effects of unfathomable amounts of energy blasted away. The much shorter Power princess hugged Ultra Girl around her hips as she generated another field of plasma, the difference in temperature and pressure diffusing the blast into a Gale wind, Amani needing only cling to her to remain grounded.

Another impact and a figure flies down at such speed as she couldn't immediately identify who'd been hit, and as she saw the giant red dot still in the sky, it became very clear. She dashed over towards him, sliding over to the dirt as she looked down on him, leaning over to see if he's alright.

Still conscious.

Her hand goes to his shoulder, briefly. "Hang in there." And then she was off again, sparks arcing along her body as she went, knowing full well of Ultra Girl's ability to keep up and that Grom? He'd be alright. He was tough, and he had limits like anyone else, but that ultimately it was together that they had a chance. If not for Grom, Amani knew that the beast would have likely focused his full attention on her and by now, have pulverized her with a punch. If not for Ultra Girl? She would be close to useless, and definitely not within the range of raw power she was in now after making a blast like that. Not only this, but she'd helped her to realize the error of her own ways. Her own recklessness. Going out in the middle of a being willing to fight to the death was not the greatest idea ever.

But she thought of another one.

The control of Electrons gave the Soon-To-Be Queen of Chemistry more than control of mere electricity and lightning. They held jurisidiction within the realms of controlling one of the four fundamental forces of nature in electromagnetism. Electrons were everyhere, holding atoms to other atoms and forming molecular bonds, facilitating chemical reactions. Determining the physical properties and chemical properties. Melting point, texture, color, corrosiveness and a majority of the properties of how matter interact with other matter, were governed mostly by the electrons outside of the nucleus rather than the nucleus itself. The only limitations she had in this jurisdiction truthfully was her own will and how much energy she could output at a time to accomplish a given task, and now thanks in no small part to Ultra Girl, she had access to her maximum output of two gigawatts of energy. Th equivalent to a large power pant.

She stopped and looked up at a falling Gorroth, the distance closed enough for her attack to work and his landing imminent thrust her hands into the sand, exerting her will upon as valence electrons were ripped from their orbitals, and moved around. For approximately a hundred feet, the sand became like unto something like Quicksand, Gorroth's landing more inclined to warrant a ripple as opposed to the typical superhero landing. The ground became functionally without friction and as easy to run on as oil. The matter in the 1,000 feet around became like a frictionless, magnetized quicksand, and the objective was for Gorroth to sink into it.

No Caption Provided

The air screamed around her, thunder perpetually emanating from her person Particles from the air and ground ionized from the temperature and became thus magnetic. A small glowing orb contained in her hand, the plasma arranged in just the right way to not emit light. A small star, it's temperature matching that of the a region sun's inner Corona, near the core. 7 million degrees fahrenheit, and yet only a small fraction of the heat actually bled off into the surrounding air. "Shield you're eyes. Don't look directly at it!" She fired it off without delay, the orb moving approximately 100 miles per hour to a hopefully immobilized Gorroth who would be hopefully immobilized. Her focus was needed the entire time to keep the orb from exploding, a constant magnetic field exerted not from her body, but from matter in the magnetized ground holding it together. She simply generated and guided the energy.

The explosion from the perspective of anyone outside the blast would look like nothing short of an atomic bomb (even if it was lesser by orders of magntiude.) The explosion's brightness was sufficient to garner attention from satellites and warrant the gaze of those far away in the city, the orb allowed to explode mid air and fill the area with sun-like plasma that swerved around Ultra GIrl and Grom, oddly enough, only about as bright as looking at the sun from her perspective. The target of the airburst being the third eye on Gorroth's face.

She slumped over, as it was all said and done. The explosion would at least serve to crystallize the ground. Giving them something to run on and a few moments to hopefully attack. She wanted to fall to her knees, but she stood, her legs wobbling, and from her chest, she screamed.

"NOW!!!"

Squelch.

The sound of Gorroth's feet sinking into the sea-like sands filled the air, rather than the shockwave of hard impact with the ground. His satisfying hit on Grom had drawn his lips into a satisfied smirk, knuckles re-aligning after the bone-crunching blow altered their position. He raised an eyebrow at the now-liquid ground, an unconventional attack which amused him greatly. Attacking his mobility was a wise choice, and often one disregarded in favor of simply bombing his location or rushing him with melee weaponry. He struggled to move slightly, then stopped, simply resigning himself to wait out the quicksand effect with a small laugh.

"I commend you, Earth child, for your lateral thinking," he said, his teeth exposed again. "Still, it will not be enough to -"

He stopped, watching her form a bright ball, eyes filming over at the sight. He'd flown through space on his way to the planet, flung from an interstellar cannon, and in passing, he'd glared at several suns unprotected; this was very much like doing so. Deja vu struck him, rather than his foresight; that, too, disturbed him, as he realized he could not see what was coming next. The eye on his head sparked for a moment, neurons in his elastic brain still jolted from Amani's last shock. They were firing improperly, unable to deal in alternate probabilities and compensate through movement.

For one of the first times in his life, Gorroth was unable to see what was about to happen to him.

"Stop th-"

The ball burst towards him, set on its path by the power of the young Mistress of Science. He raised his hands to protect his face, feeling the power of the orb like a miniature sun on his hyper-thick skin. Crying out in pain, he closed all three eyes, the explosion ripping away the dense pink epidermis of his forearms and exposing muscle. He would've been flung backward, yet the formerly-liquid sand held him in place, crystallizing as the temperatures superheated it and trapped him once more. He opened his eyes slowly, frozen like a statue where he was. The pain had been intense, and unlike anything he'd experienced in the last century.

Steam coiled from his arms, which themselves glowed with healing cosmic power. It was slower this time, though, his system disrupted by both the electricity from earlier and robbed of focus by pain. There was no more laughter, for he knew not what would come next. His third eye rolled around in its socket, shooting worried glances all around. His other two were focused in on the girl. Rage flowed through him, for he now had no doubt that she had been the one who'd robbed him of his foresight.

He leaped from the crystallized ground, charging towards her like a freight train...only faster. Like a blur he shot across the shining diamond Earth, preparing to simply annihilate the young girl by running straight through her.

I just realized something. The name of Grom's attribute / ability was named Dominance. Your account is named Dominance, so all of a sudden today I thought ... "why is your account named Dominance ... it's the name of Grom's skill O_O" and then I realized, I may have subconsciously named that skill as such after reading it from your username, which I find extremely ODD because it just clicked.

Bah ... w/e. lol - I'll change it later.

All the time spent on the defense garnered the Queen sufficient intel to mentally formulate a plan for this powerful foe, Gorroth was powerful but she noticed a certain vulnerability based on two of Amani's previous attacks and Gorroth's frustration only further served to strengthen her suspicions He possesses very strong attributes but they all seem to be enhanced by his excellent perception, if I disable his vision perhaps his combat capabilities would be less effective. The Queen of Mewni saw a figure knocked away at the corner of her eyes and the combined concussive forces emitted by both Gorroth as well as the other warrior could have most certainly launched her had she not implanted her sword in the ground moments before the blows came into contact, unlike Amani however she did not divert her focus to see if the other warrior was injured or not He is an adult, he can handle himself

"Shield you're eyes. Don't look directly at it!"

The Queen of Mewni heeded her allies words and did as requested closing them until she heard Amani's attack and its effect fade away before opening them once more, the Queen pulled out her sword and raised it to her mid level examining the effects done on Gorroth moments later she would hear Amani's shout before Gorroth took off in his counter attack. MS Invisible Wind was cast by the Queen as she was the only thing standing in between Amani and Gorroth at that moment "Create some distance Amani, quickly!" the Queen stated to the young girl as her Sword of Solus gained increased cutting range from one of her many exotic abilities this one in particular would not only make her sword invisible to the naked eye but also allow her to cut objects or beings far beyond its normal range as before she would have needed her sword to come into contact yet now that was unnecessary as the wind traveling from her mere slashes would be as effective as the real thing.

She performed a horizontal slash towards Gorroth's knees with intent in slowing him down, said slash would have appeared to travel near instantly as if her blade was as long as the distance between them but the Queen would not stop her attack with a single strike no she would attempt to intercept Gorroth's brute force with her superior range at that moment then use her impressive speed to send hundreds of strikes from different angles and positions to push Gorroth or at-least try to slow him down, after what would have been three or four hundred strikes delivered faster than a human mind could process the Queen took a pause to cast a magical spell it was a simple heat based one which she used long ago in a battle against Doctor Wheatley. This spell she used would copy what Amani did earlier by heating up the ground and turning it into a liquid magma, then the Queen would begin switching her slashing actions into a thrusting one in another attempt to stop Gorroth or slow him down via pushing him into the magma.

Gorroth's charge was interrupted by the flurry of deadly slashes, luminous shears of light carving away at his knees as he sprinted towards them. A veritable juggernaut of power, he continued to move forward, even as the unknown blade nicked away at his skin, then muscle. He could not endure such punishment, confused third eye fluttering about madly as he pushed intently through the waves of cutting energy. Eventually, his pace slowed, driven off-course by pain and bogged down by the ground itself transmuting into magma. Making no noise, he stooped, slowing before he could reach the group. He waded helplessly towards them, blood oozing from every inch of his alien form.

He coughed, the heat pouring into his cuts. Healing was taking all of his energy, just staying alive now siphoning off power. His muscles weakened, body growing less thick. The fin on his head waned, folding back.

He stopped moving, waist-deep in the sudden lava, and lowered his arms.

"Most...impressive," he said finally, sinking even deeper. The lava would not kill him, but it would hold him. Painfully.

"I surrender to you. I demand civilized trial," he said strenuously, head bowed, bones aflame.

*Thump thump thump thump thump thump thump thump*

The tiny heart in her chest raced, the noise of it beating against her eardrums nauseatingly. Her legs wobbled, and her eyes shook. In all honesty, her plan relied heavily on Ultra Girl moving forward, lest she get trampled like a child standing in front of a freight train. She winced, when go terrifyingly close to her, her eyes shut as if awaiting imminent death in her moment of inability to react to him.

"Create some distance Amani, quickly!"

Her words roused her, and the Power princess shaking her head as she ran off, her eyes going off immediately to Gorroth. Her legs moved as she spun around, the gap between her an Gorroth widen. She felt her foot sink as the ground turned into molten Magma, and Amani fell face first into it. Her body's melting point and conductivity of heat, being an attribute she controlled, made her all but immune to any actual damage, the impact of her faceplant doing. Luckily, her body was very light, being that of a human child, she could float easily on Magma. Her hands pushed up, as with her mind, the magma rapidly cooled.

"Oh no. Grom!"

Amani stood among the black platform, sprinting, her every step making a small platform for her feet to propel herself off of. Her teeny, tiny hands grasped his head, seeking to allow it to rest on his helmet clad head lap as she focused. The energy from the Electrons ambient in their clouds, decreasing to a lower state of energy. The electrons in their orbitals spun into lower state of energy. The ground grew dull, and soon it turned a blackened, ashy grey. Ambient heat in the air parted ways in her presence.

In the distance, Amani's eyes widened, having seen Ultra Girl able to engage him close range, and seeing the alien behemoth's own density work against him as he sank into the ground. She looked towards him, her eyes narrow. "We....we won?"

She blinked.

"WE WON!!"

She leaped up into the air, dropping Grom's head into the ground from her lap unknowingly, much to her dismay when she realized.

"Oops. Uh....Sorry."

The little girl Amani came to aid Grom amidst all the lava that had started flowing within the crater, the work of the blonde warrior girl. Grom felt the heat closing in. Death wasn't what worried Grom as he tried to get up, and escape being burnt to ashes, it was the pain. No matter how ridiculous his ability to return back from the damages he suffered at the hands of his enemies, he always came back. His ability was superb, unmatched in the realm. Often times, Grom had wondered if he was indeed immortal. But immortals didn't need to feel pain, or at least in his mind, they did not.

And then, he felt all the heat and lava cool down, leaving him alone. Amani came to his rescue, so to speak. Grom was glad. She'd survived the ordeal. A smile appeared across his big boorish face as Amani lifted his head up, and on her lap as she sat on the ground.

"We....we won?"

Grom looked up at his savior in shocked, "We...won?" He asked, surprised and shocked. He tried to sit upright and take a look around when Amani's sudden movement made his head fall of her lap, "Oww..." Grom cried. His head had mostly healed. His fractured skull mostly repaired, all that remaining was for his ability to actually work its way to reduce the pain and fatigue, restoring his extremely rattled brain. That was a good punch. Despite having worn the armor, Gorroth actually struck in a way that had made it so his armor was extremely ineffective in taking the hit. It's almost as if he knew how to strike to hurt Grom.

Grom finally sat up, and looked around. The blonde warrior seemed to have sunk Gorroth into the ground, and was holding him in place. He looked around, trying to find his Axe. Enemies were better dead than alive.

"I surrender to you. I demand civilized trial," he said strenuously, head bowed, bones aflame.

Grom laughed as he stood up. He surrendered? "Well, little girl," Grom said, turning to Amani. "What do you think? Do you have anywhere on your planet that can prosecute such monsters?"

She looked herself over as she walked, her clothes kind of in tatters.

She looked up, it sinking in that she was the only one who was familiar with earthly customs. Ultra Girl and Grom may as well have been from Asgard. Slowly, she walked forward, the Lava near her cooling into a stable platform and ambient heat kept away from everyone's person. Amani ensued that she kept at least 10 feet away from Gorroth, molten magma just before her feet and a searing wall of air that'd have long cooked alive any normal unprotected human being who got this close.

"I'm pretty sure someone probably has some kind of advanced metahuman prison somewhere. There are a bunch I can remember seeing in the news." I remember everyone always breaking out of them. Ugh!

She looked down and then over to Grom brandishing his axe. Her eyes lit up wide.

"I think we should keep him alive. I mean,....uhm....."

She took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts.

"He's....like a space police guy, or something, right? What if whoever he's looking for lied to him? What if...there's more like him, more people who are mad at him. Then we'll have to deal with them too, instead of trying to talk this out. I know he tried to kill us and all." She looked between Ultra Girl and Grom. "But we shouldn't do the same thing just because. Especially when he's...surrendering." She looked to Gorroth, a bit of fear residing hidden beneath her own current composure.

"I mean, people kill all the time. It doesn't really solve every problem. And even then, I think we should hear him out." Her hands clasp around her back. Her leg raised, as she leaned back, balancing herself on the back of his foot.

"After a Trial, he can get judged....accordingly. Like any person."

"After a Trial, he can get judged....accordingly. Like any person."

The courage and heroism shown by the small girl surprised Grom. He looked down at the Axe. He'd seen many foes slain by this same weapon. The most honorable way for a warrior to meet his end was in battle. Surrendering was for the weak. Asking for fairer justice was cowardice. Still, Grom looked up around. This word wasn't his. This was foreign land. The same rules didn't prevail here as it did in the realm. A death match ended with death. You either fought or you didn't.

"Your compassion is something I ill understand, little girl," Grom replied, sighing. He'd brought his Axe overhead, and back into its sheath on his back. "But I suppose, you have a right to interrogate him, before sentencing him to what fate you can bestow upon him." Grom spat out a mouthful of blood, blood that had accumulated in his lungs from an earlier strike by Gorroth.

Grom walked towards Gorroth, and the blonde warrior. The heat didn't bother him, but he stayed some distance from the menace due to the lava, "You shall be judged by customs of this world, monster. I want to commend you for the feat of putting me down. But your act of begging for mercy, I see that as cowardice, the judge of which, I shall no longer be," Grom turned his head towards the blonde warrior who had apparently put a stop to the menace, "What do you say on this?" He asked. Grom spoke with authority, being the leader of an entire nation himself. It came naturally, but he despised ordering others nonetheless.

Grom stepped back, and waited.
