@purveyor: Darksouls and Skyrim i have to hear about that character haha
My character has been based off many characters. But only taking minor things.
The Gurkhas.
A group of soldier originating from Nepalese peasants, who were taken and integrated into the British army to form one of the most fearsome special forces groups alive. They are quite infamous for carrying around Kurkri's, machetes/large knives bordering on swords they use to decapitate people.
The focus of the british army and Gurkas is to be a small but highly efficient army, with the british army very much willing to recruit people who savagely maul people with vicous, Guerilla like tactics, specializing in fighting in hostile mountainous terrain of their area. This was to such extent that in the Anglo-Nepalese War.
Correlating the concept of asymmetric warfare, Maverick fights things much bigger, badder and more powerful, often by striking at enemies strategically and selecting quality of sheer quantity of soldiers often times. This being functionally the explanation as to how, in part, Maverick fights such massively more powerful armies (with national support of course.)
Characters like Jackal and Nemaz hail from third world African nations, being taken from third world countries by virtue of being super soldiers in their own right, bolstered by the backing of national support and a "Whatever works, and is most effective" philosophy to be as brutal and savage as necessary , heavily advocating the two's use of fear as a weapon and a deterrent towards the enemy.

Definitely Bucky as shown by the official look. Never knew much about Bucky before the MCU movies, but I absolutely fell in love with the character - he's definitely my favourite character in the MCU thus far. Also, Newt Scammander from the Fantastic Beasts. He's just a good guy who reminds me a lot of myself, and who I strive to be.
Oh and myself, yeah I've inspired Valken. I take small qualities of myself, qualities I wish I had the courage to embrace more and push them in to Valken.
The Binaries borrow a bit from Hancock but they don't lose all their powers, just their immortality.
Lichter, Mikepool, Sovereign Son, Anakin Skywalker, and the Dark Knight.
And I suppose T'Challa
Yeet! Unless Batman, of course, lol.
@dreadstroke: lol I feel bad now
@ali_sani_bashir: Lichter influenced Ali? I'm honored :>
@lichter: I'm still not convinced you arent an actual writer.
@ali_sani_bashir: We're actual writers here! Just a different format.
I'm not much of a world builder. The interconnectivity and preestablished canon is what's so appealing to me about CV.
@ali_sani_bashir: D: D: D: D: D:
@lichter: 'actual writer' as in paid author is what I was aiming towards. Secretly you're R.R. Martin and shit.
@ali_sani_bashir: D: D: D: D: D:
@ali_sani_bashir: Lol, nah. I could never write for an audience. I do it for myself, you know? Making a living off of it would be miserable.
Ninjak, James Bond, Napoleon Solo, Clay Mann's Gambit, Muhammad Ali, Conor McGregor, Donnie Yen, Oberyn Martell. Oh and Conrad Paulson.

Despite the fact that Cadmus is of the fantasy realm, he's actually more inspired by my sci-fi interests. First of all, Darth Vader and Kylo Ren have played a big part in constructing Cadmus. Another inspiration is the Dwarves series of novels by Markus Heitz - the Alfar in those books, to a small degree has impacted him as well. Not so much their motives, attitude and mindset.
Lichter, Mikepool, Sovereign Son, Anakin Skywalker, and the Dark Knight.
And I suppose T'Challa
Sov Son was such a good character
@nikoleta_strix: Um, do I know you? Stranger danger
@ali_sani_bashir: I think..... we may have met once or twice? You seem vaguely familiar.
Fargo on FX
@ali_sani_bashir: thanks, sir

Of all of the Call of Duty (and all of the influences) Maverick is inspired b y, ATLAS is perhaps the biggest influence on Maverick.
ATLAS is a private military corporationin the Sledgehammer iteration of Call of Duty. In most every way, they are considered the elite of general military and grow in power at an alarming rate, eventually going onward to have the largest standing army on earth. They are described accurately as a superpower for hirewhich is in essence what Maverick becomes. The company then goes on to gain a seat in the United Nations Security Council. They pride themselves on their elite soldiers and lack of bureaucratic inefficiency, going on to become a force that the world comes to rely on in the face of an inflexible and ineffective government (like the CVnU/CVU's). They help rebuild the world, and reshape it's infrastructure, offering relief to third world countries and appearing at every little international incident.
They offer U.S Soldiers a chance to be better and to have better gear, giving prosthetics to the main protagonist so that he can get back in the fight, taking advantage of his grief in a way (Like Eric Bradshaw)to get him back in the fight after his best friend was killed (Also like Eric Bradshaw, but with one person instead of a team.)Though lacking a Navy, the PMC attracts
The CEO is interested in more than just money, and has ideals and ambitions of his own on the world.
In the end, the game is step ahead of you're regular blockbuster movie and brings to prominence the questions of PMCs that thrive on worldly instability.
Much like Maverick.
The original inspirations for this character are Christian Walker, Elijah Snow and James Delaney. I basically wanted to make a supernatural detective who sees the world in it's true colors as it were. Someone who touched by the occult but also unafraid of fringe science. John Constantine meets Phantomex. Another huge priority was something I like to call bastardized royalty where a character is of noble blood/old money but doesn't really care about his heritage - faux prestige if you will. So I basically took James from Taboo and said to myself 'Okay. What if this but weirder?' and just connected it with gladiators, Samo, Prague pogroms, piracy and eventually the phenomenal Australian mythos.
This eventually led to Marc's perspective being very similar to that of Rust Cohle from True Detective except not truly nihilistic. Marc is just extremely cynical about existence. A few other muses I have drawn upon were Jack Reacher for the true badass normal trope and Cumberbatch's Sherlock for superhuman detection. Honorable mentions are Sleeper and Incognito comic books.
There are three influences: Jack Reacher, Adonis Creed and Rainbow Six Siege. Of course, Adonis Creed is purely hand to hand combat. Since Marc isn't physically enhanced he needs to utilize an outfighter-like approach to fighting. Jack Reacher is everything. Ingenious, savage and realistic combat tactics from any range. Once again to compensate for lack of superhuman attributes, Marc needs any edge he can get. R6S finishes the package with realistic gadgets and effective breaching methods.
