The Humans First Foundation is a relatively large human-centric governmental lobbyist organization, with offices in 17 states and Washington DC. The offices function as hubs for the many activists and lobbyists operating within a particular state and are often located in each state's respective capitals.

Each office is equipped with a receptionist, high-speed internet, a padlock for keyless entry (with the code known to all employees), and several cubicles with a central office reserved for visitors from headquarters. There are fully stocked conference rooms and break areas, with Pepsi Co. stocking all vending machines within the offices themselves.

All of the smaller offices are similarly adorned, with the tastes of the HFF leadership trickling down even to the decor choices in smaller, less utilized offices on the off chance of an unexpected visit from HQ.

This includes furniture and color schemes meant to convey good taste, often used in patterns or combinations that end up accomplishing quite the opposite. The resulting clashing color schemes and busy designs and patterns lend themselves to all different kinds of gaudy or garish decor choices.

Luckily, some office managers have seized the rights to design their own offices back from HQ and are taking back their right to well-planned office layouts and harmonious workplace feng shui.

Their main office, however, is in Dover, the capital city of the HFF's home state of Delaware. While all other offices are rented relatively cheaply, the Dover City HQ was ornately built to the specifications of Donovon Glost, president of the foundation itself, at great cost to the organization. It trends even more heavily to the bombastic, with furnishings and design structures that serve little purpose beyond the aesthetically pleasing, while being far larger and more complex to navigate than any office building has any right to be.

The interior is of course simply an extension of this, with the structure built to appease Donovon Glost's perpetual urge to shock and impress. Luckily, his taste in furnishings and color scheme have been vetoed in favor of a predominantly white design that better suits a professional environment. The building itself contains an impressive mix of wide-open spaces featuring central objects of attention. These are designed to be presented to the public, and occupy much of the building's space.

Outside of the areas presented to the public are winding corridors, staircases that lead seemingly nowhere, and complex floor plans that violate various safety codes in the name of obtuse design. These places lie outside of those occupied by most employees, are intentionally designed to be confusing to the uninitiated, and do not appear in the plans for the building's original architecture.

This is done intentionally, of course, as the hidden away, maze-like portions of the building allow the HFF to secret away records of clandestine dealings and less savory information, some even housing minor contraband for its militant, anti-mutant shadow, the Militia.

In more recent days, these same winding corridors and halls also house the illicit meetings (remote and otherwise) of the Children of Omega's political chapter. Normally Donovan Glost would forgo risking his own personal facilities when dealing his less than legal partners, but the power promised to him, and that which could be wielded against him, prove too great not to acquiesce to the desires of his associates.

Terms and Conditions

  • This is the official place to meet with the Humans First Foundation's President, Donovan Glost. This is NOT the primary location to meet with the Militia, and it is in fact relatively unknown that Glost has any association with them at all.
  • Please do not assume your character knows all the secrets hidden away in the building. If they do, please provide reasons for such and run them by me first. (Will add the secrets later, this simply exists for future reference).
  • No major destruction. Feel free to steal staples and paperclips, but anything beyond that requires a permit.
  • If you wish to ally with the HFF, destroy the area, etc. hit me up here, on Action6News, or on any of the other alts you see me using.
  • The usual rules of the CVnU apply.
  • We do not accept expired coupons. We apologize for any inconvenience.

A bit gauche, don't you think? What the heck is wrong with that Glost guy?

Holy crap, you're a damn workhorse! How the heck you polished off a location like this as fast as you did...Christ, guy!

Thanks guys! As for the speed with which this was (haphazardly) finished, a little caffeine goes a long way.

(Thank you all for your kind words!)

HFF HQ — Dover City, Delaware

"Mitchell. He's the one I'm talking about. Who is he?"

"Him? That's Marcques Nurdstrom, CEO of NuGenesis. How have you not heard of him?"

Donovan Glost leaned back in his seat, glowering at Mitchell Herric, who immediately averted his eyes.

"Isn't that what you're here for, Mitchell? To tell me what I don't know?"

"Yes. Sorry, Don. Uhh, like I was saying, he's CEO of NuGenesis, a company that manufactures..."

He tapped a few keys, searching through the laptop in front of him.

"Some kind of human augmentations. Tech upgrades, biological upgrades, stuff like that. Here, on the NuGenesis website it has a mission statement. They want to make it so 'humanity is in control of his destiny', and—"

"That's enough, Mitchell. I want you to schedule a meeting with Mr. Marcques of NuGenesis, and put out feelers around the company itself. I want to know if he'd be interested in donating to the HFF's crusade against mutant superiority, but I also want to know if he'd be open to a... different kind of business. Remember, no trace back to us, nothing to do with the HFF."

"The usual, then."

"The usual, Mitchell."

@marcques_: Thanks! I'll be heading to your offices soon. (You wouldn't happen to have a link to those offices, if they exist, would you?)

@banasura: That's a difficult question to answer. The Humans First Foundation itself? Probably the home office in Dover (where they are now). The illegal arm of the HFF, the Militia? That...I haven't established. PM what you'd like to run and we can work something out.
