How Do YOU Identify Other People's Alts?
I’m sleepy but let’s see...
Juno I can usually spot because their characters tend to be unique on cv. Such as Juno being a smuggler, Robert being a brain in a robot body, roberts dad who i can’t think of being a trucker and not to mention the horror themed character theyve created. they’re not your typical comic book hero/villains.
If I see a shirtless young adult pic, it’s like 99% gonna be Lamar.
anime themed usually goes with contingency
impero you can tell with his bio/power set up and aesthetics he uses with his characters.
Duchess tends to lean to certain more elegant/wealthy aesthetics as well. Her writing is usually really focused on fashion and wealth.
sha... I mean after writing with her for 11 years I would hope I could spot her alts lol
Zaubs posts tend to focus on psych of either her or other characters And her posts when she does fight shows that she writes with experience.
This is just how I can spot them lol
that's all for now
@feral_nova: That's pretty darn accurate!
I've lost my ability to spot ALTs. I just assume everyone is either Gambler or Impero since everyone is using their bios.
I totally suck at identifying other people's alts. I actually thought Rosso was Mercy and Marcques was Gambler. lol
On the other hand I was told it was difficult identifying my alts because I make them so different. Whatever... :`D
You sure? There are only what, 15 people here?
Yeah, you switch alts a lot XD. It's not in-depth, I'm no batman, but some people are just obvious.
We'll see.
I mean all of her alts have 'Made by ParagonxX' in there somewhere.
@alexander_west: *LOL* So true. I can be wearing a chicken costume and you'd still be able to spot me. ^_^
@lyre_: Ah, but Lamar still spots that it's me long before I even have my bio created. :P
@damian_knight: Not anymore
I write in three different personalities, A. I. sentient life (Encriptor) , Hero type (xXHeroXx) and my current Evil type
From a brief glance, usernames and avatars tell me a lot. Certain RP'ers gravitate towards certain art styles and artists, and certain username styles. Zauby, Sha, Mercy, Nordok and Gambler are easy enough to pick out (for me) based on those two things. Not all the time, but usually. But a deeper look into the writing style in an IC post usually gives me more than enough information.
I've come to realize (and accept) that my attempts at alt-hiding are easily seen through, but I feel it's that way for a lot of people. If a person's written with you before, or been on the forum long enough to actually associate you with one of your alts, it's generally just a matter of time until they read enough of a new alt's material to get a feeling of familiarity.
Really that's the only way I discover an alt is someone I know. Exposure. Though OOC slip-ups and interaction styles are often a prime source of identification too.
