Glade City [Open CVnU Living Locale]
@hawkshade: You need this more than I do <3
Tessa entered the apartment. It was luxurious, or at least luxurious for this part of town. In the sense that it had a bedroom, a separate kitchen and bathroom, and even an office. The office is what she was interested in She kept an eye out for traps and tricks, and quietly moved into the office space, keeping her eyes peeled for something of value.
She was rummaging through papers when her particularly apt hearing picked up a slight shuffle, as if somebody was moving lightly and hesitantly. It wasn't Dog - his footsteps were firmer, he had too big of a build to move like this... and her mind momentarily drifted to Market Square before she puled herself back into the "mission" parameters.
Tessa quietly moved the paper back into the position that it had previously been in and moved with the silence that had been imbued in her since she was a child, and moved towards the living room, prepared to pull a weapon at a moment's notice.
She stiffened, her hackles raising as she caught the scent. She wasn't alone. It wasn't Dog's scent, though, and she wasn't sure if that made matters better or worse. Dog was a monster, but he was known quantity; she generally knew what to expect from him, even if 99% of the time it was cruelty. A stranger was a complete unknown, and thus an absolute threat.
It was too late to withdraw, though. Not knowing what else to do, Aibreann simply fell back on instinct. She crouched low on the floor, muscles tensed, teeth bared. Her ears flattened along her skull, and she growled a warning. Who knows? Maybe she'd get lucky and the intruder would assume she was a guard dog and make an exit of their own.
Then again, luck had never been especially kind to her.
@the_stray: That's not what I heeeeaaaard...
