"I'd like t'welcome each and every one o' ya to the greatest event in Wales' history... Prime Minister Abbdey's birthday!"
The announcer chuckled good-heartedly at his joke and the guests politely joined in.

The ballroom was huge. Chandeliers hung from the lavish ceiling and the pure diamond's embedded within them sparkled dazzlingly. The bullet-proof glass windows sat on the walls, and reflected the light with perfect acurracy. The walls themselves had gorgeous patterns and designs, all a soft cream colour so as to compliment the dress code.

Cream or Pearl.

Men and women from all corners of Britain had arrived in their stylish attire. The Queen herself had arrived, and sat perched at the head of the elongated mahogany table. She seemed resigned, her attention elsewhere, much to the dismay of arrogant Prime Minister Abbdey. He had rocked-up in the most amazing clothes, and had even dared to wear knee-high boots, and had pulled it off incredibly. Women watched him, enamored by his ruggish -yet acute- features. He was more than aware of this, and made a show so as to talk loudly and boast about his achievements in life. And a very short life, at that. The man was but only 22, still a toddler compared to many other's before him.

His sister was there , but it appeared as though she had attained the less handsome of her family's aesthetics. She was widely avoided.

Food lined the ballroom, from Lobster Thermidor to Macaroni Cheese. Even the most slender couldn't resist the feasts' temptations and ate heartily. 'Twas a party indeed.

"Oh Frederick, do hush. My birth is trivial compared to that of her Highness."
Abbdey bowed to the Queen and she nodded curtly in his direction, offering a miniscule smile.

"I'd like to thank you all for arriving, it is truly an honour to grace you with my presence."
Some laughed. Others did not.
"Now, I hope you've all brought enough presents, otherwise OFF WITH YOU'RE HEADS!"
Fewer laughed this time.
"Oh what am I blubbering on about... EAT my people, EAT!"

They didn't argue, and got back to their glorious food. The Prime Minister looked deflated. It didn't seem as though he was as much loved as he had previously thought. He shrugged off a pretty lady and sat down huffily, making no effort to hide his disappointment.

--

Jacob Brass stood near the doors, his arms folded across his chest. He had a tuxedo on, with finely polished loafers and a casual pair of shades. He didn't care much for authority, but had come in pearl as requested. Clue was currently busy with his own affairs and Jacob had been unable to get a hold of him, so he had told Blackman to let him know that Knightwing was there to watch over the foolish young royal. He had taken his Knight-Cycle, and sped across the city and through the countryside to arrive a few hours before the whole "ceremony". He had scoped the place, checking security and looking for any possibly threatening spots from which enemy of the Prime Minister might decide to strike.  And there most probably would be enemies. Abbdey was rude and disrespectful to almost everybody he came into contact with. He had even slapped a passing waiter across the face for forgetting the lemon peel. What an arse. So Jacob had scaled the walls of the large castle-like building, and he had prowled across the roof. He had slipped in and out of every room and made sure that no secret troublemakers had arrived. He crawled through the air-ducts, even though he knew it was the biggest action movie cliche ever. The garage was clean, too. So... The chances of an unknown force assualting the Prime Minister?

It was highly unlikely, he had finally confirmed.
The place was airtight. He commended the Minister on that, at least.

The head of Security, Grady Jorgens, an American, had eyed him suspisciously earlier, and Jacob had had to restrain himself from pulling out the finger. That might go down bad. The man seemed trained, not to mention his frame looked enough to take on a rhinoceros or two. Maybe three, if he was feeling hyperactive.

Jacob had smiled innocently and discreetly continued fool-proofing the place. In the end, he was satisfied with his job.
The windows were bullet-proof.
The walls were about half a metre thick.
The ceiling was frighteningly high from the ground.
Any chance of instruders was wiped away by the hundreds of guards surveilling the area, huge weapons craddled in their steady arms.

But Jacob had brought his Knightwing costume anyway, and had stored his equipment in one of the supply closets, alongside numerous other bags. It was easy to access and right around the corner. And Jacob was fast. Very Fast.

He coolly observed Abbdey, deducing quite a bit of the man.

He had an extremely big ego, but it was fragile, like china.
He was a bully, his horribly hidden scowls at the Queen were more than evident.
He had not had any sleep as of late, due to possible stress or pressure. His drooping eyes proved this, along with his poorly combed hair, which was standing on end at some spots.
He had anger issues. Numerous veins pulsed across his forehead, and his jaw was constantly clenched.
He was racist, and ignored all and every black bloke to come over to him. And there were few.

Jacob decided that he hated the man. Making his way to the banquet table, he eyed the food carefully. Peanuts were a no-no. They would kill him. Jacob picked up an apple and took a chomp out of it. He turned and got back to scanning the room.
He recalled a one-liner Clue had once muttered during training.

Danger was a shadow that could not be seen, unless you shone a light on it...

Blood Arrow stands on the roof of a building lined up with a near perfect shot of his target. He attached a scope to his bow and ran towards the window at super speed, nearly invisible. Slade carefully placed small explosives just strong enough to break through the window and pulled a standard red arrow from its quiver. He placed it on his steady bow and looked through the scope. Slowly pulling the bow's tough string back, he finally lets go. He sets the explosives off mere secpnds before the arrow flies through the now shattered window lands right next to his target. The people are set into a rabid state of panic from the broken window, and fail to notice the arrow nearly landing in Red Arrow's target's hand. They frantically scurry out of the doors with alarmed cries and screams.  Slade smiled... The fun had just begun. He calmly pulls another crimson arrow from his quiver and shoots it once more, aiming at his target, it lands on the other side of the man, pinning his sleeve to the table. The man tries to escape but to no avail. He can barely move. The man doesn't even notice the scarlet-clad figure of Red Arrow ghost into the room and stand crouched beside him, to his right. Red Arrow smirks.

"Well you don't look anything like you're ancestor."

Jacob swallowed the large chunk of his apple and aimlessly threw it over his shoulder, walking towards the doors. He needed the toilet. He needed it bad. Nodding politely at the guards, he slipped into the hallway and took a quick jog to the pristine bathroom. The toilet seat glistened disturbingly.

He washed his hands and smoothed back his jet balck hair, smirking at his handsome reflection. Who would have known that this kid had been living in a slum just years before? The sad thought darkened his mood and he frowned gloomily as he reached for the door-knob. He tried turning it, but it didn't budge. He used both hands, and grunted with the effort, his defined muscles rippling beneath his suave tuxedo.

The knob broke off and he was launched across the small room, falling arse-first into the toilet. Cursing, he stood up and ignored his soaked trousers. This door had been tinkered with.

His suspiscion aroused, he lifted his knee in a kick-boxing stance and struck the door evenly, tearing it off of it's hinges, it sailed across the hallway. A panicked man ducked, the door moments from taking his head off. The frantic man didn't even bother to berate Jacob, and continued his path, straight for the foyer. He was sprinting, as were the hundreds of other posh folk filling the large corridor.

Pandemonium.

Shouts and screams bounced off of the walls. Men and women ran desperately, scared and anxious. It was almost like a riot.

Jacob stepped back into the bathroom to escape the wild throng of people. He crouched down low and inspected the lock of the now-gone door. It had a green substance oozing from it. Just as Jacob had suspected. Ultra Glue. He stood back up and calmly removed his shades. He unbuttoned his tux, and let it fall to the tiled floor behind him. He took off his belt and chucked it into the basin, as his trousers slipped down his long legs and lay in an untidy heap.

Jacob placed the small mask on his face, firmly adjusting it so that it would not slip off.

Now stood the costumed being, Knightwing.

He calmly assessed the situation. There were too many panicked people for him to just run against them. That was like swimming against the current. No, he'd have to go over them. What made this even more difficult was the fact that he would have to first get to that supplies closet, to retrieve his equipment. No doubt whatever had happened involved danger.

He waited for a break in the crowd, and used the door's upper frame to swing himself through the air, he used the passing Brits as stepping stones, trodding lightly and swiftly, he had almost made it across the corridor when a large man charged straight through and shoved him off of balance. Knightwing formed a ball as he was launched at the floor and rolled to the other side of the corridor. Wasting no time, he kicked in the closet's door and tore open his canvas bag, attaching his utility belt to his waist, he sheathed his twin Nth metal katana's into a built-in saya across his costume's spine. After a quick double-check, he was assured that he had everything, and he once more leaped out into the fray.

There were fewer people now. It seemed as though most of them had escaped whatever terror lay beyond the large ballroom doors. Knightwing assisted a frail old lady to the foyer and smiled sweetly as she thanked him. As he started his rapid sprint towards the ballroom, he realized that he had just helped the Queen of England herself. He shoved the thought away, it would only distract him.

He ran full-out through the large doors and skidded to a stop. Before him stood a red-clad figure, a quiver across his spine and a large bow in his hands. The man was smirking at the Prime Minister. Knightwing snatched a shurikan from his utility belt and without hesitation, he let it soar at the man's forearm, with the intention of having him drop his weapon.

"STOP RIGH' THERE! DON' MOVE OR I SWEAR T'GOD I'LL BREAK YER NECK!"
Knightwing allowed the forceful words to slip out of his mouth.

He noticed numerous heavily-armed guards surrounding them, they all had their weapons pointed at the burly archer. Some had them pointed at Knightwing. The Prime Minister appeared relieved that Knightwing had sprung onto the scene. His sleeves were pinned to the mahogany table by two lethal looking arrows.

Knightwing clenched his fists and gritted his teeth. So much for a birthday party...

Slade laughs at the child’s remark. Blood arrow watches the shrunken fly in to his arm he drops his bow for a moment and almost instantly    picks it back up at super speed he could have easily avoided the shrunken but he wanted to let the child feel like he stood a chance. Slade chuckled and pulled the shrunken from his arm and throws it with extreme accuracy through a guard’s kidneys making a bloody mess. Blood arrow grinned and pulled a standard crimson red arrow from his quiver and quickly aims it at the child trying to be a hero blood arrow lowers his bow and quickly knocks out the guards at super speed and kills two of them he laughs for a moment. Slade tells the child “That was enjoyable” he returns to his original position.  Slade raises his bow back up to the hero child and pulls the string back and lets it fly towards the young hero’s shoulder.

His ruse had worked. He hadn't originally expected the man to actually take the shuriken to the arm, but he hadn't reacted either.

The moment the shuriken had left Knightwing's gloved hand, he had pulled another from his belt, and one more. He had launched them both straight at the Prime Minister, aiming to cleave the arrow's pinning his sleeves to the table in half. The tough wood was unable to withstand the pure steel of the shuriken's edges and was easily splintered. The arrow's had been sliced apart just above the head, and also above Abbdey's arms. The Prime Minister was stunned for a moment, before capitalizing on his chance and tearing his sleeves away from the arrows. He whimpered. That had been Armani.

Knightwing stared on in shocked horror as the archer ruthlessly murdered the guards surrounding them in mere seconds. He hadn't even had the chance to stop him. Luckily Jorgens had ducked behind a pillar and was now sneaking up around the room, heading towards the doors.. Knightwing grabbed Abbdey and threw him at Jorgens, they needed to get out of here, fast.

"GET OUTTA HERE! I'LL HOLD 'IM OFF!"

Jorgens nodded briskly, snatched a dazed Abbdey from the polished floor, and burst through the doors, their rapid footsteps echoing into the ballroom.

Knightwing watched the man turn towards him " That was enjoyable". He had a sick grin. Knightwing ignored the many dead bodies lying around them. The main priority was the Prime Minister. He needed to be kept safe. And also, this man needed to be contained. Thrown in the Yard for the rest of his life. These men had had families. Children. Now their father's were dead. All.Thanks.To.This.Idiot.

A sudden arrow pierced the air and soared at him, he wasn't even able to have seen the man shoot. He was fast.

Knightwing tilted his torso to the left, leaving the work to his slick vibranium costume. It wouldn't survive a head on projectile, but it could at least help. The arrow struck hard, but it didn't penetrate the costume, and rebounded off into the ground. It stood stock still, and it had been moments from impaling Knightwing. He sighed with relief, before grunting with pain. The arrow hadn't pierced him, but it had hit him like a rock. He flexed his shoulder and turned his head towards the man.

"I don't suppose you're the entertainment for tonight?"

He pulled a smoke pellet from his belt and with incredible speed, he let it strike the ground before them. A grey cloud erupted, obscuring the Archer's vision.

Knightwing tapped his mask and his thermal's switched on. He could clearly see the man, disorientated. Knightwing utilized his chance and ran at him, seeing the man react to the sounds of his silent but rapid footsteps, instead of pouncing at him, he dropped down at the last moment and slid through his legs, with a shuriken in each hand, as he went through, he viciously cut down, aiming to slice at the Archer's knees. It would distract him for a moment.

"CATCH!"

Knightwing formed a ball and rolled until his momentum ceased, and he stood swiftly to his feet, he twirled in a circle, the shurikens flying from his hands and at the Red-Figure's spine..

Knight wing’s attack on his knees hit blood arrow he grunts in pain and said “you realizes your attempting to fight someone who has faced death hundreds of times your trinkets are only annoying me.”  Slade turns around at super speed he sees the child’s shrunken fly towards him he catches one of them at high speed. He blocks a few of them with his thick red armored gloves but 3 fly in to his stomach his armor but his armor slow them down much just barely scraping his skin he pulled out the shrunken and drops them on the floor. He attached his bow to his quiver. “What is your little armor made of steel? Vibranium?” Slade quietly pulls three anti-metal throwing knifes from under his thin Kevlar armor on his back and throws one of them toward the child’s chest. He laughs cruelly as it flies towards the child

The shurikens don't seem to affect him much, and he easily extracts them from his stomach. It seems he too, is wearing armor of some sort. Judging from how deep the weapons are embedded, it it tough. Knightwing curses beneath his breath and backtracks a bit."Who are ye, an' jus' what are y'trying to achieve 'ere?

Knightwing's best chance of hurting this guy is distracting him, then taking him out before he realizes just what is happening. Knightwing won't kill him though. That goes against his unwritten code. Cut him up a bit, slice off a few limbs. A bit of pain here, a spot of agony there. Just enough to teach this scum a lesson. But he won't kill him.

Knightwing almost didn't see the man reach behind to retrieve something from his back. As he did this he made a little taunt, but Knightwing's days in London's slums had made him immune to all and any insults. They were water off of a duck's back. Obviously, that was an attempt at distraction, but ultimately it was a poor one. Knightwing instantly reached back and unsheathed his twin Nth Metal Katana's from his built-in saya. He made it just in time to twirl them around expertly and deflect the throwing knives aimed at his chest. He kept his posture steady and the two men stared at each other. This was as much a game of wits as it was of life and death.

Knightwing made the first move, launching one katana at the man's thigh and the other at his foot. Aimed to keep him fixated in the ground whilst Knightwing made his way towards him. Knightwing didn't wait to see whether his impeccable shots made it, but instead he somersaulted across the ballroom and landed behind the man. As the man turned Knightwing flipped back over him and now the man was most probably disorientated. Knightwing waited for him to turn back before hoping to place two solid punches across his face. He then followed up with a vicious knee to the stomach, and without hesitating, he aimed a perfect roundhouse at the man's neck. A normal man's head would be taken off.

But this was obviously no normal man.

Blood arrow decided to answer the child’s question “What am I trying to achieve? It’s quite obvious what I am trying to do I’m here to kill that waste of skin your protecting.” Slade smiled cruellyhe quickly saw the child attempt to attack him with a katana he quickly dodges the katana not wanting to waste time with a rebirth. Slade turned around and faced the child.   he allowed the punches to   hit him in the face he barely feels the pain these punches hurt him no more than a paper cut the child kneed him in his stomach that hurt him a little more than the other attacks but it still did not hurt much compared to his other punishments from over the years. he dodged the round house kick aimed towards his head.  blood arrow  took his bow off his back and knocked 3 explosive arrows and lets them fly towards the child each one of those arrows had   enough explosive power to collapse the walls of a castle. Slade knocked one other arrow this one was basically an arrow with a fist on it   he kept it aimed on the child and waited to see if the   other arrows would hit the child or if the child would get out of the blast zone.

Knightwing's combo didn't affect the man much, and his roundhouse was quite easily blocked. As soon as his leg had been swatted away he had backtracked, he didn't underestimate this guy. He meant business. But it seemed as though he was underestimating Knightwing. That was a mistake. A huge one. And the man would live to regret it. If he was lucky.

Arrows pierced the air once more. But this time, Knightwing was ready. He had observed the man's body language and had already assumed an airborne assault would be the next move. Timing it perfectly, Knightwing snatched a few shurikens and as the arrows flew straight at him, he launched his own projectiles. It they met head on, then both men would die. These arrows had explosives. But Knightwing knew that. And he had known what to do. The shurikens would slice just past the arrow head, the explosives would lose their momentum, and would fall to the ground without any real danger. Except for the fact that they were still active and could go off at the slightest touch. So without any further hesitation, Knightwing ran straight at the oncoming weapons, and as the shurikens severed the arrows perfectly, he grabbed the explosives out of the air. He didn't stop his running, and continued towards the man. Knightwing threw one at him, but it was a feint, and it floated over the man's head, just over his reach. Knightwing had utilized on the moment of distraction and he snatched his katana up, aimed a quick slice at the man's stomach, before rolling past him deftly and catching the falling explosive. He was careful to catch it with his fingertips. Any more contact was lethal. Knightwing leaped up from his roll and twirled in the air.

There were large sturdy pillars situated all across the room. They were quite thick and would not go down easily. But that didn't matter. These explosives were top of the range.

As he twirled he released one explosive at each pillar. His aim was good, and his throwing was better. The explosives blew up upon impact. The pillars absorbed most of the blast but they buckled and were blown apart. Only one pillar stood, weakly. It began to cave underneath the immense pressure. Knightwing sheathed his katana and stood up straight, his thermal's on, he could make out the bewildered man through the dust. He grunted and called out to him,

"If he's such a waste why go to all the trouble just to kill him? Did your girlfriend ditch you? Are you lonely?"

Knightwing was easing closer to the window. If he was lucky, his plan would succeed. It all depended on the Red-clad man.

The last pillar cracked, and the ceiling instantly started to cave in. Knightwing spun around and jumped through the hole previously opened by the man. It had aided him in his plan, for now. Knightwing rolled across the perfect lawn and got up on one knee, waiting for the man to emerge from the window moments before he was crushed. He had displayed previous signs of super speed. Knightwing had no doubt he would follow.

Now he had to wait...

Blood arrow ran out of the collapsing building at super speed and appeared quietly behind knight wing and shot at standard crimson arrow at the child’s spine. “To tell the truth I’m bored and I believe boredom is the perfect time to avenge one of my own deaths” blood arrow slowly pulled 3 arrows from his quiver and knocked them they ignited in flames he shot them in to the air they each landed in a different area setting the ground on fire he grinned “just making this little battle a bit interesting child.” Slade just stood there bored but in a strong fighting stance he was prepared to beat this child to death even if he was truly the apprentice of clue like it has been rumored. He saw a few guards passing by he saw them as the perfect chance to take advantage of the child’s anger Slade ran over there at super speed and killed one of the guards with a sharp knife he slit the one guards throat in seconds he was gurgling blood he went after the others he ran through them at super speed partially solid he pulled out their lungs on his way out he was now drenched in their blood he had a sick smile on his face. Blood arrow ran over to his original position and returned to his strong fighting stance blood dripping from his clothes.

He had to throw himself to the ground to evade the unexpected arrow coming his way. He had barely seen the man exit the building, let alone pulling the string back.

He rolled to allow the ground to absorb his momentum, before returning to a low tiger style crouch, as he had been taught, it would defend any oncoming attack. It centered your balance and gave you some core strength.

But no attack came. No, it appeared as though the man had disappeared. Had he run? Knightwing shook his head slowly as he scanned the courtyard. A flash of crimson caught his eye. Blood was spewing everywhere. Men fell almost instantaneously. Knightwing got up to go and try to save them but it was too late. The men were dead.

He turned his head, and there he was. The red-clad man was standing watching him with a sick arrogant smile, blood littered his outfit.

Knightwing ignored the simple fact that the man had just murdered quite a few men. Men with families. Men with children.

Knightwing returned the arrogant smile. His plan had worked, ultimately. Although the deaths had not been planned. But they would be avenged. Knightwing saw confusion flicker across the man's face. No doubt wondering just why Knightwing was smiling like a fool. The man had thought that he was winning.

He had thought wrong.

Back when they were in the hall, Nihtwing had leaped over the man and had dropped a cluster of miniscule sugar grain sized bombs on the man. It had probably felt like dust coming from the ceiling. But sadly, it was not. Knightwing had planned to lure the man out, so that the bombs would explode freely, without bringing the entire castle down. After all, the ballroom didn't really matter.

Knightwing stepped back quickly and opened his gauntlet, tapping a button.

The bombs exploded, they would disintegrate an average human, and they would more than knock out a meta. Even the tough ones. After a huge energy exertion, they would form a force-field like barrier that would contain the man.

Knightwing looked down at the timer.

00:04

He turned and began to run. Full speed, he ran at the rubble of the ballroom.

00:03

He didn't look back, he ran faster.

00:02

He leaped. Gritting his teeth, he flew at the rubble and bounced across it's surfaces, grunting with each hit.

He didn't waste time to look at his timer. He ducked beneath a huge stone as the explosion was about to happen...

Slade simply laughed cruelly as he saw the child run he put his head down and closed his eyes he realized what the child was doing he had placed micro bombs he vibrated himself and made himself intangible the blood and bombs dropped to the ground he knew there was still one of the bombs on him but it could not do much damage he thought he quickly ran behind the child at super   speed before the blink of an   eye “you like to play with bombs child?” he said cruelly the last bomb left on him exploded leaving a wound not much bigger than a standard bullet hole in his right shoulder  he briefly screamed in pain he picked up a fairly large piece of rubble a bit bigger than a basketball he shook it at super speed the rubble was now unstable  he threw it towards the child’s knees and runs about a 150 feet back to avoid any blast...

He waited for the explosion, his breath stuck in his throat. His ears were covered by small metal disks that protected from high pitched sounds. His mask's eye slits were very much the same, stainless steel that would shield his eyes from bright light. He was crouched as low as possible. The large rock would defend him against the brunt of the impact, so even if the man survived, he would be able to continue fighting.

WHOOSH!

Knightwing didn't immediately feel the change in atmosphere, but he knew for sure that there had not been an explosion. The bombs were set only to explode if there was direct contact with an object. His eye slits slid away and he looked up, to see the crimson man standing over him. Another taunt. Knightwing ignored it, and instantly back-flipped away. Landing with one leg outstretched and the other bent beneath him, his balance was perfect.

"Look, this is our first official date, so you should at least tell me your name."

He smirked, minuscule droplets of crusty blood resting at the edges of his handsome mouth.

The words were barely out of his mouth when the man blurred again, and appeared to be holding what seemed to be a large piece of rubble. He was shaking it aggressively, but in a controlled fashion. He was focused.

The world stopped.

Knightwing instantly reacted, unsheathing his katana's simultaneously, he let them float in the air whilst he extracted a flat circular disk from a pouch. With perfect accuracy and calm, he slapped the disk onto one of his airborne katana's and grabbed it's hilt. He grabbed the other one as well.

The world eased to a slow start.

He whacked his katana's together and instantaneously a sharp electrical charge was exerted. Blue Sparks circled the blade's. The rubble was coming at him, at impossible speed.

He recalled another lesson from Clue,

"When you have a projectile aimed at you, don't wait for the last moment to do some action-movie crap, you run at it. Destroy it before it destroys you."

Chuckling inwardly at the memory, he pounced. The seconds seemed to crawl. Time was at a loss for words.

He brought both katana's down, slicing cleanly through the rough rubble. Knightwing assumed he was in the clear.

"Never assume."

He gasped as shrapnel tore through his suit and his skin, his eyes were wide as he dropped to the ground face-first and skidded across the rocky floor.

It took a moment for the world to come back into focus. He took deep gulps of fresh air, he needed to center himself. Blood dripped down his forehead and out of his mouth and nose. Using one arm, he sat up straight and flexed his shoulders. He hadn't expected shrapnel. He thought that he was going much faster than the rubble. Apparently he had been incorrect.

He got up and rolled his neck around his shoulders, working out the kinks. Turning slowly, he stared at the man, with disgust.

"Shit just got real."

Slade laughed cruelly  at the child’s immaturity and  decided to answer the child’s question blood arrow sees  a police officer running towards him he quickly pulls his bow off the side of his quiver and grabs an arrow and turned to the officer  before the child or officer could blink he knocked his bow and pulled back the string the arrow flew through the officers fore head right between the eyes it flew out the back of the officers head killing him instantly the officers body burst in to flames seconds after it had hit the ground the arrow was imbedded in the ground he turned back to the child showing his twisted smile “to answer your question the name is blood arrow. And I kill people for fun.” He said calmly as he pulled an anti-metal throwing dagger from beneath his armored costume and threw it at the child with incredible speed and impeccable accuracy Slade was aiming for the child’s  right knee seconds after throwing the dagger he put his bow on his back and momentarily  disappeared he reappeared 3 seconds later with two pistols in his hands grinning at the child he fired two rounds in to the air “give up now and your end will be quick and painless”

He was unable to warn the officer, and he was brutally murdered. Knightwing rushed towards the unsuspecting Blood Arrow, eager to gain the upper hand. But to no avail. The man was just too fast. He turned instantly and released three projectiles, which traveled so fast he was unable to fully identify them. The first two penetrated his costume, and his legs were taken from under him, the third shuriken just skimming by. He grunted as he pulled them from his knee. They had gone rather deep, and he berated himself for his carelessness. Now he was at a disadvantage, and that was the first sign to a losing fight. But that didn't mean he was going to stop.

He dropped the blood-drenched shurikens to the ground and stood, letting all the pressure onto his right leg. He flashed the middle-finger at Blood Arrow,

"Bastard."

With a sudden flurry of movement, He pulled some smoke pellets from his pouches and threw them, letting them explode in strategically different areas. A glass sheet slipped over his mouth and nose, connected to his mask. The smoke packed enough tar to choke even a meta. He crouched and feverishly worked to heal his wounds, pulling a few medicinal pellets from his pouches, he applied them to his knee and shoulder. The smoke was beginning to clear now, and he didn't have much more time before the man lost his patience.

A sudden flash of red alerted him and he straightened up, the medicine already at work. He picked up both his Nth Metal Katana's ; capable of slicing through any known substance in the universe. His padded boots allowed him complete and utter stealth, and he tread slowly through the thinning smoke, coming around the man. His blades trailed behind him, he was crouched and ready to strike. A section of smoke parted, and he observed Blood Arrow searching for him in the other direction.

Knightwing had the upper-hand now.

He brought both katana's down in an X-Like arc, aimed at his spine.

He then twisted around, letting his blades trail with his body, in a spiral slice, aimed once more at generally the same direction.

From that attack he dropped low, slicing at the man's feet, in an attempt to blade-sweep him.

Then he tapped the electronic emitter again on his left blade and sparks encircled it. He leapt backwards back into the smoke with both blades flying at the man's head.

He dropped into a quick roll, coming up cleanly and sliding back the gauntlet on his arm. He typed into the holographic keyboard, his fingers working quickly. The smoke was clearing now. His curtain was almost up. He found what he was looking for and slid the gauntlet back down again.

Blood Arrow was some sort of reincarnating nuisance, that had been alive for many centuries. He was immortal, basically. But he could be harmed. And contained. Lucky for him, these were Knightwing's specialties. Knightwing felt the cool rain pelt down, cleaning his skin of some of the grime and dirt. He waited for the smoke to clear, to see if his attacks had had fruition...

Smoke blinded Slade he searched for the child he felt two blades slice the skin of his back they barely missed his spine the child’s swords cut through parts of his back nothing serious fortunately, he knew what the next attack would be he has fought and killed many that use this same fighting style or a variation of it if he was right a blade sweep would be next    he moved slightly to avoid the blade but blood arrow did the math wrong he moved a half an inch too close the blade gave minor slashes to his ankles but it was enough to cause bleeding and he would be a bit slower but plenty fast enough to kill this child and the prime minister his ankles healed quickly but they were healed incorrectly blood arrow could still run but it would excruciating pain. Slade turned to see two objects flying towards his head he threw himself to the floor he avoided one of the projectiles but the other shot in to his back right at his shoulder blade “hn.” He grunted in pain, he reached back with his right arm and cruelly pulled it out he screamed in pain and then laughed. “Hurts a lot more coming out” Slade felt small drops of rain fall on to his blood drenched uniform and skin he showed a cruel grin “you know what I like about rainy days?” blood arrow paused for a moment even though it was clearly a rhetorical question “perfect time for a funeral!”  blood arrow picked his pistols off the ground and opened fire on the kid he fired nearly all the ammunition left in the guns at the child most of the bullets were aimed for the child’s legs  others towards his arms Slade stood there waiting to see if the child would be turned in to Swiss cheese  or if his costume would save him...

He wasn't going to win this one.

His attacks caused little or no damage, and Knightwing instantly felt his hopes deflate. His injuries were wearing him down now, and he could barely stand, pain coursing through his British veins. He watched Blood Arrow turn with that same arrogant smile, lifting two huge guns, aiming it at Knightwing's legs.

Knightwing barely made it, cartwheeling out of the way as bullets tattooed the ground where he had stood. The bullets followed him as he cartwheeled away, his speed decreasing with each one. Finally, he stopped, landing on his feet, his breathing ragged, he collapsed to his knees as the line of fire came right at him.

A bullet grazed his ear, and a trickle of blood dripped from his earlobe.

The gun-fire ceased abruptly, Knightwing amazed that he had escaped the ordeal unscathed. He lifted his head towards Blood Arrow, his eyelids drooping. The man was as confident as ever, carrying his injuries well.

The surroundings were a battlefield. Rubble lay like a blanket over the Prime Minister's once glorious garden. Trees had been uprooted, bushes had caught alight and now burned pathetically as the rain drizzled down. Far away, Knightwing could see a few of Jorgens' men watching them. They were too afraid to come and face the man.

Knightwing had one last hope. A last ditch effort to regain some of his strength and maybe continue the fight. He groggily pulled back his gauntlet and tapped a few keys, never taking his eyes off of the gloating face of Blood Arrow. He then slid the gauntlet over again, and got to one foot, eventually standing up straight and clenching his fists as he swayed on his feet.

"You've proved your point Blood Arrow. Maybe back in the day Abbdey's ancestors had been pricks, but he's not them. He's just living his arrogant, pathetic life, and frankly, it's not worth the worry. Whether he dies or whether he lives, he wouldn't have made an impact on the world as he has been elected to do, but that doesn't mean he must be killed. I'm going to tell you one more time Blood Arrow. Give.It.Up."

He had distracted the man for just long enough, and as the last words were breathed out of Knightwing's mouth, the Knight-Cycle roared and sped over his head, soaring at the red-clad man. It would brake a few of his bones. It was travelling at speeds greater than a jet, and had armor that surpassed even adamantium. Knightwing wondered whether it would kill the man, or just knock him out for a while. If Blood Arrow did manage to dodge it, the Cycle would turn and continue attempting to hit the man until he was incapacitated. Knightwing started running towards the Prime Minister.

Blood arrow laughed sadistically moments before he was unexpectedly hit from behind by a motor cycle the child had nicknamed “the Knight-Cycle”. The front wheel of the cycle caused him a few broken ribs but the pain was not enough to knock him out. Yet, his injures where enough to slow him down. Slade blacked out for a moment and as his head cleared up again he deduced that he likely had a concussion. He weakly rose from the muddy floor and groggily chucked each of his guns in opposite directions.

A last and sudden burst of energy, and Blood Arrow ran at subsonic speed, snatching his tough bow from the dirt he clenched it with both hands. Blood Arrow didn't cease motion, and continued running across the battle ground at super speed to what was left of his quiver. Slade found one unbroken cryogenic arrow and picked it up swiftly.

“Pity, I wanted to make the child’s little head explode. Oh well I suppose murderers can’t be picky!”

After these few words to himself, The crimson archer ran after the sprinting vigilante, knocking his cryogenic arrow in one quick and fluid motion, he aimed for the ground right next to the child’s feet. With a final grunt of fury, he released the string, the arrow soared through the air at the running hero, moments from impact, Blood Arrow didn't hang around to see the fruition of his efforts, instead, he turned as soon as his arrow had been unleashed, and used up his last moments of energy, disappearing from the scene. He would remember the name of Knightwing. And he would be back.

Knightwing didn't turn around when he heard the gut-wrenching impact of the Knight-Cycle and Blood Arrow. He allowed a brief and weak smirk of victory, but other than that, he continued sprinting away, he needed to take cover. He had originally set out to protect the Prime Minister, but he had already been wheeled away by Jorgens and an elite squad of soldiers. Now Knightwing's main priority was recuperating, as Blood Arrow was more dangerous than he had bargained for.

Knightwing heard a soft groaning from the fallen villain and he picked up the pace, the man was waking up. A sudden rush of air and Knightwing knew that he had regained his composure. He was coming in for a last shot. Knightwing heard the rapid thud of footsteps behind him and he tilted his head to the side, to see an arrow being released from the archer's bow.

Knightwing bent down low, pressing down hard on the floor with his uninjured arm, he brought the rest of his body over, looking to do a one-armed somersault. His hand left the ground and he began to soar through the air, tumbling over and over, meters off of the rubble strewn floor.

He grimaced as he saw the arrow whiz past below his waist and he brought his arms up to cover his face as it struck the ground.

He felt light. Weightless. He was floating. The world was spinning around him. A cold sense of calm fell over him like a blanket and he was unfazed by life.

His eyes snapped open and he instantly hacked up blood. He felt the warm liquid trickle down his cheeks and chin. His eyes burnt, and he shut them again. The world seemed to ebb and pulse around him. He began to feel his body again. It was stiff and motionless. He felt warmth flow through. The warmth turned to severe heat, which morphed into pure and unprecedented fire. He gasped and almost choked on his own blood. He turned onto his side and coughed more blood out, spitting it as it came out. He blinked rapidly, trying to get the soot from his eyes. He cringed as he became aware of the numerous injuries that lay strewn across his body. From small minuscule scratches to mind-blowingly large gashes that seeped blood, he was in pure pain. His costume had taken the brunt of the explosion, had it not, he would be dead. His mask had been disintegrated and he could feel dirt all over his face. He could smell burning flesh and recoiled as he realized it was his own. He fell back to the ground and let the pain overwhelm him.

Jacob Brass limped through the rubble of what was once the Prime Minister's abode. It had been destroyed almost completely and the remains lay like fallen soldiers all over what had been used as a battle field. Jacob's face was contorted into a constant grimace and he struggled to move properly, the pain slowing him down. The area had been evacuated and fire-men had cleared out most of the flames. The press were everywhere, and they were talking to a few elite bodyguards that had stayed behind to leave a statement. They became old news as young but athletically built Jacob limped past, failing miserably to avoid detection. He wore nothing but shredded boxers, and he had cuts and bruises all over his muscled body. He caught the attention of a CBN reporter who rushed to him, bombarding him with questions,
"
What happened here? Was this Al-Qaeda? Did you have any involvement in the destruction of the mansion? Is it true that there was a demon that attacked the Prime Minister? Did you see Knightwing?"

Jacob smiled weakly and carried on limping, speaking over his shoulder.

"His name was Blood Arrow, and he kicked Knightwing's butt."
