I do.
Do you like making up super powers?
@kaede_: Great minds think alike eh??? :-)
No, but for real I agree with you. I find it hard some powers are either already exist in DC or Marvel or someone else beat you to it.
I like giving my characters super powers, but I can't say I like making up super powers. Every conceivable super power has been made up already so it's incredibly difficult to make up something original.
In my experience, I think of this really cool name for a Super-Hero/Villain and I think that it's entirely my own and no one has come up with it themselves. But all too often, much to my chagrin and dismay, I find that the name has already been taken in some form or another. And then someone else has already thought of the powerset I wanted to give him or her....
Great minds may think alike, as they say, but sometimes it's flat out annoying... :-/

I don't agree with that bolded section, but I admit that it would be difficult to make a completely original power, and that if you did make one, it would likely be bordering on absurdity or insanity, lol.
@lowlaville: You're telling me you don't hate making them ?:O

I've made up a ton of super powers. I'm not intent on debating on the uniqueness of them, however.
I'm not good at coming up with original powers but I get amazed with some of the originality some people have when they manage to think up powers I would have never even thought about.
@feral_nova: Mind listin some examples pweeease?
(´・ω・`)
Yes. Also (as has been stated in some way or another), in different applications for different powers. So many things I feel I can do in a way nobody else can or does. Just because people are different, and people think in different ways so even for the same power people can think of different ways to use them. (Although very often I've seen a lot of people get stuck in the same mentality and uses as they were used to seeing, but I just used that to my benefit.) Even different backgrounds. Like two people might have the same base power, but a different background/explanation for that power. And those different backgrounds/explanations can lead to different things for each of those characters. Also combinations to make a set.
Et cetera et cetera.
