Descendants of Eternity: The Blood King Vs. ES RPG

Vahlok Castle once stood as a symbol of Bavarian authority, a birthplace of the reigning dukes during the High Middle Ages and Renaissance era. But now, in the twenty-first century, much of this impressive fortress had far gone to decay, mainly due to neglect and much of it's destruction from a publicly unknown conflict that occurred ages past. It appeared as if it was another abandoned ruin, but many of the surrounding populaces were convinced that this was not true. They believed in the legend that tells the last of Vahlok line had remained the lord of this castle for the past five centuries. Many folk had speculated how this former Duke could have lived for so long, the most popular of rumors was that he was a vampire.

This was not true.

Konrad Vahlok was born a powerful mutant, one of his abilities being able to suppress himself from aging. He had grown tired of watching the world change throughout the several life-times he had lived and decided to retire in obscurity within the familiar halls of his home. There, he sat in the old oak throne of the great room he once ruled from with pride, now reflecting in silent anger.

He had heard the rumors of his apparent vampiric ties and it troubled him. For the unknown conflict that occurred so long ago, had involved those dreadful predators that he loathed above all other things. One night they came to his castle, looking to make it their new home. Within minutes, they had overrun the grounds and had breached the inner halls. Konrad fought valiantly back then, utilizing the destructive force of his Bio-Electric energies and his prowess with a sword. Many vampires fell by his hand, but it was not enough to protect his wife as she was eventually attacked and turned into one of them.

Tears started to roll down Konrad's face, remembering vividly what he had done to bring the love of his life to peace. "No man... Should have kill his wife to save her." He whispered with a tremble in his voice, then buried his face into his hands still overcome with guilt. He then remembered that he eventually did obtain revenge against the creatures that had destroyed his life, but still it did not take his pain away.

"My Lord." A static voice echoed from the other end of the room as a large metallic figure walked into the light, it's eyes blazing with blue energy. As it approached, the top of the being's head brushed against the iron chandeliers that hanged twelve feet from the stone floors. Konrad looked up with a grim face. "What do you want ARCryn?" He asked the robotic servant, who had interrupted. "A female human is at the front gates, requesting you're audience. She appears to be distressed." The Automated Robotic Conduit answered.

"Did you or any of the others, make yourselves known to her?" Konrad's voice had grown significantly louder. "Negative." The ARCryn responded.

"Good, ignore her. She's just hysterical about the 'legend'. Remember, this place is supposed to be abandoned." Konrad then closed his eyes, returning to his reflections.

"My lord. She is covered in human blood. Must I remind you that you are still protector of these lands, such is your family's mandate." The automaton interrupted again, regaining it's masters attention.

Konrad let out a long sigh and waved towards his servant. "Fine, let the world know that I exist. Bring her in."

@elusivestorm: Aaron sat on top of a house the eternal 16 year old looked around as his demon minions rounded up citizens for inspection so far only one person had escaped a female he would have to go track her down later but for now he had business to attend to . He was here to investigate a large amount of magical energy that was exactly like the kind that comes from opening up demon portals .

He was investigating the town by himself until he figured out what the cause was that being vampires or rather a cult of vampires who gain power from demons it seems the cult slowly infiltrated the town and began spreading their influence to gain followers and sacrifices those who did not join wouldn't speak a word about it.After he figured out the problem he surrounded the town with demons and a barrier in order to cleanse this town of the vampires.

As the Blood King looked around he though how easy it would be to just nuke this town himself and make sure not a single shred of it's existence remained but he decided against it as he wanted to learn more about this cult by capturing its members and unfortunately that meant he at least needed a body .The demons were a large beings wearing huge suits of armor and wielding large blades .

The next human they brought up was a middle aged balding farmer he had tears in his eyes as Aaron looked him over The Blood King held out his hand and clenched his fist showing a strange red ring on his hand he put the ring against the farmers head and it burned him Aaron smiled "you have had some contact with demons haven't you no doubt your a member but your not a vampire so I have no use for you .

Aaron stood up and waved his hands towards the demon and one of them brought their swords down upon the man nearly cutting his body in half they then tossed his corpse on a burning pile of corpses others who had failed the test and not been vampires those who had passed the test were being held in a group of houses guarded by demons .Aaron was not going to stop until he was done no matter how many humans he was going to have to kill today and he was sure their would a lot that he would have to.

@ownagepants: "Please! I know you are in there! Let me in!" The blood-soaked woman screamed as she slammed her fists against the aged wooden planks of the external doors. "Please! We need your help!" As the woman was about to strike the entrance once more, the doors suddenly gave away to reveal a towering metallic figure with glowing yellow eyes. Startled by the presence of this imposing being, the woman stumbled backwards. "Forgive me for surprising you, but my lord: Duke Konrad Vahlok, will grant you an audience. Please allow me to be your guide." The ARCryn spoke with it's soulless voice before stepping from the door-way to allow the visitor to enter. The woman hesitated, as fear of what else may appear began to haunt her thoughts. However, she was in dire need of help, no matter what form it would come in. And so, she proceeded inside the ruined halls of Vahlok Castle.

As the ARCryn led the woman deeper into the castle, more of it's astonishing dated architecture was revealed through artificial illumination. It appeared that almost every surface surged with energy, but it was the ARCryn itself that had spread the electrical radiance from it's core. This display of ability was merely an attempt to put the young human at ease, as the power of light over darkness has always done. "As a request to formally introduce you to my lord, may I ask your name?" The twelve-foot tall escort asked as it continued to escort the woman. "My name is Sophia Schauffen from Autzberg."

Konrad continued to sit in his throne, contemplating if he had made the right choice to allow this stranger within his home. Other than himself, the castle had been lacking the presence of living beings for centuries. However, the choice was made and the consequences were just about to be reaped as three loud knocks echoed at the end of the large room. "Enter." His voice projected loudly, forcing clouds of dust to sweep up from the floor in front of him.

The doors opened and the ARCryn ushered the visitor towards Konrad. "My lord, I introduce Ms Sophia Schauffen from Autzberg." The automaton announced as it came to a stand-still twenty paces from the throne, Sophia hurried next to her escort and quickly curtsied. Konrad looked disgusted by the woman's appearance. Her clothes and much of her face had been stained red by human blood, possibly by loved ones. "What happened?"

"Demons."

Without anymore being discussed, Konrad rose from his throne and looked directly into the electronic eyes of his servant. "Wake your brothers. We are going to war." The ARCryn bowed its head and exited the inner-sanctum at a brisk pace, heading towards the armory where several dozen more robotic conduits were stored in reserve.

"You stay here." Konrad ordered as he passed Sophia, leaving to prepare himself.

Now alone within the inner-sanctum, Sofia's troubled look had faded, replaced with a fang-filled smile. "Oh how easy it is to manipulate you Duke Vahlok. You and this demon scourge will destroy each other and we shall have our vengeance!"

@elusivestorm: Aaron had the next citizen brought before him as he administered the test the man's skin burned but something else happen fangs emerged from his mouth involuntarily of course he tried to lash out at Aaron but the demon guards held him firm and he was slapped away by the blood king .

Aaron smiled "well finally you have no idea how happy I am to meet one of you "Aaron motioned to the guards and had the vampire brought to a house and shackled in silver to the wall Aaron sat down on a wooden chair and looked forward at the vampire he did not look hungry so clearly he had fed recently but their was something else something about his now turned eyes they were different from what a vampire's eyes usually looked like.

The Blood King looked at the prisoner "now let me explain how this is gonna work you are going to tell me everything I want to know and if you don't or if you lie I will drop you in a dimension so horrifying five minutes their will make 100 years of physical torture feel like a night at the beach do we understand each other ".

The vampire did not answer he just looked down at the floor "tsk tsk well clearly you do not fully grasp the situation so let me give you a little taste " Aaron put his hand on the vampires forehead and transmitted horrifying visions they terrified the creature to his very core so much so that he soiled his pants in fear and within seconds he begged for it to stop.

Aaron removed his " Don't be such a baby that was a just a look into my own personal memories you were their for a few seconds I was their for far longer and unless you wanna visit personally I suggest you speak now and answer this question "who are you and what is your mission in this town.

The vampire looked scared but he would not respond "oh does someone want to take another look then "The vampire jumped "oh god please no I beg of you I'll answer your questions just anything but that "Aaron looked pleased "good now then start explaining".

The vampire began to speak "we are the next noble race of vampires we call ourselves inferna lamia you see most of the original noble vampires have died off over the years and the remaining vampire species are weak in comparison so we thought that we should create a new type of vampire one more powerful then the nobles of the past that's when we started experimenting with demonic forces trying to combine them with us .

Aaron looked confused "combining a demon to you is insane such a processes would break someones mind " The vampire agreed "that's what happened at first a lot of the earlier subjects lost it immediately while the rest were only sane for a short time but with each of them we saw enormous power boosts so we kept on working at it and with each try we started getting closer and closer ".

The vampire smiled "and finally we did it we created the worlds first demon vampire hybrid "Aaron looked intrigued "how "he asked " we captured a demon inside a humans body and forced it to mate with a vampire the resulting offspring was they hybrid and we waited until she had grown fully to test the results but even in her adolescent years she was powerful and now she is more powerful then we could have ever imagined "

The vampire laughed "and that success is here " Aaron understood "where is she ?" The vampire looked pleased "she has escaped she was powerful enough to break through your barrier long enough for her to get through and soon she will come back and rip you head off your shoulders "The vampire laughed as Aaron stood up and thought about this concerned "thanks for your help I no longer require your services :"Aaron set the vampire on fire with the flick of wrist and left as he burned alive screaming.

Aaron looked outside "Well this is a bit alarming and this still does not tell me why she is in this town opening portals oh well I guess I will have to find this girl and ask her myself after I finish with this cleanse and if I am lucky the girl will come to me .

@ownagepants: Konrad emerged from the castle, clad in a suit of steel-plated armor with a lightning bolt insignia etched onto he breastplate. Strapped to his back was a weapon that had been in use by the leaders of the Vahlok faction since it's formation in the third century, a Roman gladius. He looked to the west, noticing several billows of smoke rising above the treeline. "Autzberg..." Konrad mumbled with a grim tone. "It appears that out gest was not lying about an attack." He addressed the legion of ARCryns as they funnelled out from the castle gate behind him. "However I do not believe this attack is the work of demonic forces." He then turned to face his host of automatons.

"Demons do not exist in these parts, but I tell you, there is a supernatural species that does. Through out the six centuries I have lived, I have come in contact with creatures of darkness and I know first-hand the destruction they can cause." Konrad paused for a moment to take a breath. "This attack is the work of the vampire menace and they have returned to exact vengeance against me for nearly destroying their kind so many years ago!" He then reached up for the sword handle behind his right shoulder and unsheathed the gladius. "What are we going to do about this attack?"

"Eradicate the vampire menace." The thunderous sound of sixty static voices spoke in unison, answering their master. Konrad nodded in agreement. "That is correct. We are going to that town in the west and put an end to these foul beings once and for all!" Konrad then motioned towards one particular ARCryn with red-painted spaulders and a matching colored stripes running down it's arms, to which it stepped forward to meet with him.

"I am going in first to investigate. I want the legion to surround the town and wait for further instructions. Understood, commander?"

The ARCryn commander's eyes flashed with energy as a simple tone resonated from it's artificial mouth.

"Good." Konrad grinned just before his form was replaced with an erratic burst of electricity that quickly vanished as fast it had appeared. The ElusiveStorm was no longer a dormant man living in obscurity, but once again an active force of nature, off to protect his lands.

It only took an instant for Konrad to travel several miles to the outskirts of Autzberg. The silence and thick haze from the still burning fires gave off an eerie feeling, however that was not what troubled him. Looking ahead, Konrad noticed some type of barrier that separated the outskirts from the town itself. "Could she have been telling the truth of demonic activity?" He asked out loud as he cautiously approached the field of energy. Konrad looked to either side as the barrier stretched as far as he could see. "It's most likely surrounding the entire town." He reached up a hand to touch the field and was met with a small concussive force that forced him back a few steps. "Interesting..."

Taking a glance around to make sure he was not being watched, Konrad charged both of his hands with bio-electric energy. His arms trembled as they struggled to contain the power that was surging from within. It had been a long time since he used his mutant abilities and it was proving to be a difficult task to rely on them so suddenly. Before he could lose control, Konrad brought both of his hands up and extended them palms-out towards the barrier, releasing powerful bolts of lightning that instantly crashed against the wall of energy. A rift small enough for him to enter had opened up and an fatigued Konrad quickly dashed through, entering into unknown territory.

Looking up, Konrad could see that his ARCryns had finally arrived, orbiting around the barrier which indeed surrounded the town. Reaching in a compartment on his side, he pulled out a small receiver/microphone and placed it in his ear. "ARCryns, remain at your positions." He instructed before discreetly heading towards the center of town.

Screams could now be heard as he continued on past burning buildings and mounds of corpses. He was now convinced that this attack was indeed the works of demons. As he turned around a corner to an adjacent road, Konrad was grabbed by the shoulder from behind and thrown back, landing several meters away. He looked up from the flat of his back to see a massive armored beast standing from where he had been thrown. "A demon..." Konrad slowly rose to his feet, surprised by the appearance of the spawn of hell. He pulled out his gladius and flipped it into a reverse grip, with the pommel upwards. "I will give you one chance to explain what your business is here, demon."

The servant of darkness chuckled. "I could ask the same of you, mutant." It had replied with a deep, satanic voice.

"It appears as if we are at an impasse. Neither of us will explain our reasons for being here, so we might as well just try to kill each other." Konrad swung his blade a few times in practise, watching at the monstrosity took out it's weapon of choice; a large scythe. The demon's weapon was an imposing and crude weapon, but it had many weaknesses, ones that Konrad would utilize to his benefit.

Both Mutant and Demon began their attack, charging at each other. As they met in the middle of the street, Konrad avoided the obvious first swing of the scythe, ducking his head just enough for the curved blade to pass over. He retaliated by thrusting down into the unguarded right leg, cutting open rotted flesh and severing tendons. He was quickly met with a knee that impacted against his chin, sending him staggering backwards without a weapon in hand. The gladius had remained lodged within the leg of the demon, who ignored it's existence. "Time to die." It snarled as it went in for another swing of it's scythe. Konrad teleported just as the demonic weapon began cutting at his armored shoulder, avoiding a lethal blow. He reappeared behind the demon and kicked in it's spine.

The best fell to it's knees in agonizing pain, crippled in it's vulnerable state. Konrad then pulled the gladius by it's blade through the other side of the leg and then sheathed the sword back in it's scabbard. "You don't get a quick ride back to your home, you abomination." He announced as he circled around to face the demon. "You get to go back the painful way." He then placed his left hand on the forehead of his near-vanquished foe and released his bio-electric bolts. The direct contact between the ElusiveStorm's hand and the demon's flesh as the energy surged, slowly turned the hellion's body into ash. "You will lose!" The hellspawn shouted just before his death had finalized.

"If the rest of them are anything like you, I doubt it." Konrad responded as he took a step back to admire his work. The beast was now a lifeless statue made of ash, any contact with it, would dematerialize from it's existing form. Looking back up to the sky, Konrad turned the receiver/microphone back on.

"ARCryns, the element of surprise is still on our side. Breach into the barrier and attack anything that is not human."

@elusivestorm: As Aaron was about to judge the next person he felt a disturbance in his barrier like the one he felt when the hybrid escaped but somehow different like instead of going out this one was breaking in and then he felt a lot more disturbances like an army was coming through he was unsure if the girl had come back with reinforcements but if she did she was about to wish she had not.

Almost on cue one of the demon soldiers ran to his master's side and knelled as he spoke "Blood King sir our forces are under attack by a mutant with powers over what I believe to be electricity and he has brought a robot army with him as well we are trying to manage with what forces we have but watching the humans has our forces limited we are going to need reinforcements my lord ".

Aaron thought about it for a moment "I understand I will summon more men for the battle you return to your comrades in the meantime and do what you can to halt the enemies force Aaron wondered what all this meant why was a mutant supporting this cult of vampires what could he possibly gain by helping them out he would have to ask these question to him personally but first he needed to summon more troops .

He walked over to a wall with a symbol on it made with his own blood he touched it and chanted these words "Daemonum et vocavi te "As he did several portals opened up around the city and as if they knew the situation the demons ran towards the battleground following their compatriots into battle to change it's tide since they could handle the robots Aaron now had to search for this mutant and he knew the best way to get his attention.

Aaron made his way to the battlefield and watched as the demons and robots fought fiercely both sides tearing into each other and he opened his hand and pointed it at the robots side and chanted Ignis est usque cinerem omnes and a red mark appeared on his forehead and from his came a small fireball that shot towards the robots side but once it hit it exploded in a very large radius even some of the demons were hit by the blast .

Aaron had more then made his attention know now it was time to send a message he yelled "That was but a taste of what I can do if you continue to oppose me I will nuke your forces until not even the ground they stand upon remains and if that is not enough then I will raze this town to the ground and burn up whatever stake you seem to have in it all of that will happen very shortly unless you make your way to me so that we can have a little heart to heart.

Aaron was sure that this move would draw the mutant out from where he currently was.

With an upward slash, Konrad had dispatched another demonic adversary. This was the sixth hell-spawn he had felled since ordering the attack on the demon-occupied town. Taking a moment to recover his energy, Konrad examined the surrounding area. Autzberg no longer seemed like an eerie ghost town, it now felt more like a warzone as the uncomfortable silence was drowned out by the chaotic sounds of battle. From various locations, echoes of metal clashing, ferocious roars and the discharge of energy had all reached the ears of the now recuperated ElusiveStorm, who was once again ready to continue onward.

Peering down the main road towards the center of town, Konrad witnessed a large reddish figure tear through the titanium body of a similar-sized being with nothing but the talons that extended from it's fingertips. He shook his head in disapproval, already having observed similar outcomes earlier. The demons had the advantage in close combat and because of the barrier that surrounded the town, the ARCryns had begun a battle severely weakened from their struggles to breach the dome of energy.

With a crackle of energy followed by a thunderous boom, Konrad had displaced to the location where the triumphant demon stood over the motionless body of the vanquished automaton. He had reappeared overhead of the scene, stabbing his gladius downwards, which carved into the demon's surprised face as it had turned to face the source of the sudden thunder-clap. As he landed, Konrad kicked away the now lifeless demonic body, freeing his weapon to be used once again.

"My lord." A static voice rose from Konrad's earpiece, drawing his attention away from his seventh. "What is it, commander?" He responded while looking back towards the center of town, knowing where the ARCryns' leader's location was. "There is another entity here, it seems to be the source of authority over the demon horde."

"What does it look like, commander?" Konrad asked, now intrigued by his servant's apparent observation.

"It has the appearance of a young......"Just as the ARCryn's voice had cut out, a massive explosion had erupted from it's location. Konrad stepped back in surprise as he watched a ball of flame several hundred feet rise up and dissipate into the energy of the barrier above.

"All remaining ARCryns, meet at the west-end of the blast radius. Immediately." Konrad spoke while pressing on his earpiece before once again, displacing his form.

As he reappeared at the location he had directed his legion to reassemble, Konrad heard a voice shouting from nearby. He listened to the threat and assumed that it was definitely coming from the authority-figure the commander had mentioned. Turning around, he was greeted by his last six metallic warriors, who all bowed their heads and raised a fist to each of their chests. "I assume you are what's left?" Konrad asked, hoping to be wrong, but in unison, they all resonated a confirming tone.

"Time for diplomacy. Do not attack unless I instruct you to."

One by one, Konrad and his remaining servants emerged from the smoke that covered much of the area, walking into plain view to establish terms with the being behind this unholy occupation of the once peaceful town. Konrad tilted his head in confusion as he approached a young man standing with several satanic guards on either side.

"So... You're the one pulling the strings?" Konrad asked as his entourage of automatons separated in threes and came to a stop on either side, mirroring the opposition's formation.

@elusivestorm: As Aaron watched as the war between the demon's and robot's raged on it was clear his men were winning and this was no more clear then when after his threat the mutant in control of the robot forces came forward with only six of troops left and Aaron still had more then a host of demon's that were able to fight not that he actually needed them to if he chose to The Blood King could kill every last vampire, mutant and demon here but for now he would stay such drastic action .

The Blood King smiled as the mutant asked him if he was the puppet master of this attack "Yes I am they call me The Blood King I am here on a simple mission as a concerned blood mage wondering why exactly a cult of vampires have come to this peaceful village and are making contact with demon's I am currently interrogating any vampires I can locate and killing any human members of this cult"Aaron knows that the man did not ask him of his reason for coming but it seemed like an inevitable question so he might as well get it out of the way.

Aaron stared the mutant down "Now as to why you are here I am guessing you are the man in charge of protecting these lands and that you were sent by some seemingly helpless female screaming bloody murder "Aaron laughed "Well I am sorry to say this but if such a thing has happened then you have been played by a metaphorical wolf in sheep's clothing ".

Aaron kept a large smile on his face as he spoke "you see we are looking for such a girl a demon vampire hybrid very powerful at that and judging by your current condition you probably had a hard time fighting the demon's by yourself which mean's your either not that strong or highly out of practice if it's the latter it would be a small matter returning you to your former state since your powers are electricity as my minions tell me. But first I wanna hear what you happened in your own words as I may be completely wrong after all I am merely making educated guesses based on what I observed so far and depending on what you say I will decide my next action. Now let's start with a very simple question who are you?

Although the Blood King had the appearance of a boy in his teenage years, Konrad knew that this being was much older. Over his long life, Konrad had met other immortals, many of whom had taken younger forms when it was necessary to blend in. This seemed to be the case when it came to the leader of the demon horde. Not many would expect an innocent-looking young man to be a threat in a town like this, especially those he was hunting.

"Why a cult of vampires..." As those words lefts the Blood King's mouth, Konrad's full attention was brought back to the conversation. It seemed that the vampire menace had indeed returned, causing more death and suffering within the Bavarian region as they had done over several centuries. This time, the vile parasites had meddled with a power they could not control, bringing more powerful servants of darkness to further taint these lands.

Konrad carefully listened as this new adversary finished explaining the meaning of his presence here then quickly changed the subject, theorizing on Konrad's involvement in all of this. The blood mage was extremely accurate on his assumption, while also shedding some light on the true identity of the mysterious woman that now resided within his castle. Who knew what she could be doing there with no opposition. Konrad would have to save this town faster than expected than lay siege to his own home. He gritted his teeth in frustration from the sudden turn of events, there were many things that the ElusiveStorm hated, and being manipulated to one's end was number one on that list.

"Depending on what you say, I will decide my next action." The Blood King announced as if he was in control. Konrad shook his head, no one held sway over the Duke of Bavaria. However, he was currently outmatched. His six ARCryns would be destroyed in seconds and himself brought down soon after, if a fight were to erupt at this instant. He was in fact, a shadow of his former self, only retaining a fraction of his total power. To buy more time for his heart to generate enough bio-electricity to turn the tide of this near defeat, he would have to indulge the Blood King.

"You have almost exactly guessed what has occurred here. A young woman did appear outside my strong hold, seeking my aid against an attack on this town, which does fall under my jurisdiction. I originally thought that the vampires were the cause of all this destruction but..." Konrad raised his arms out to either side, looking around at the vast demonic host that surrounded. "It was your creatures that has caused this." He then took a step forward, dropping one arm and pointing the other towards the Blood King. "Now I have another question for you. I know that not all of the humans who live here are not involved this this vampire, demonic cult you have mentioned. So what have you done with those innocent people? Take care with how you answer, as It too will reflect on how I act." Konrad's voice had grown loud and powerful, energy visibly surged from his fast-beating heart towards all points of his body. His anger his increased the energy regeneration speed that would normally take hours, he only needed minutes to become once again, the powerful elemental mutant he was renowned as many centuries ago.

@elusivestorm: Aaron smiled well you see the spread of demonic influence has to be culled here so in order to make sure of that I took care of those who were found innocent of interaction with demon's and after they have all been taken care of I will reduce this entire village to ash which is standard procedure "Aaron laughed and as he did all the demon's around did to .

Aaron did not lie he had taken care of them in the sense that he locked them in a set of houses guarded by his demon's for their own safety after which he would relocate them to other villages so he could burn this one to the ground but that is not what it sounded like truth be told The Blood King was bored and if he could goad this mutant into a fight it should provide some entertainment for him.

Aaron stopped laughing and looked at the mutant once more "By the way I don't believe you ever told me your name.
