CVnU: RULES
@_mistress_redhead_: Look who it is O__O
I can never stay away for long :D I miss writing so bad!!!
Just got to figure out how to fit in with the new crews...
@_mistress_redhead_: Yeppers, Antonia is. Here
Good to see Babs has been represented while I was away!
I think we need the rules remade. It's been a year and 4 months, so adding and removing some rules would be nice.
@theedarkpheonix: No reason to change them, really.
@theedarkpheonix: We go over and revise the rules when something comes up that needs to be added, or changed. They're a living document.
We don't change them just for the sake of changing them (and by we, I mean the COE, which consists of myself (Mercy), Lady Liberty and La Espada). So if you have some suggestions, we're happy to hear and discuss them, but unless there is a need to change them, they'll stay the same.
The rules are there to provide a guideline to help streamline the board, we try and keep them as clear and concise as possible, and put in what needs to be put in/restricted, without really infringing on people's creativity.
The last bit of the rules needs to be updated a bit :P
@asgardianbrony: Sup dude. Think I spotted you in General Discussion?
As for your question, the CVnU is still going strong :)
@asgardianbrony: Yeah, that's the idea. We use looks from traditional comics media but come up with characters on our own. We're the only part of the site (that I know of) that uses alts a lot, but @Lichter has been my main account for a while. People create an alt meant to represent their character and usually have the avatar / name match. Then we RP together to craft a large overarching narrative referred to as the CVnU. There's a timeline thread for recent and ongoing events.
It might look intimidating, but it's really easy to jump into :)
@asgardianbrony: Interesting, like Thor? You might want to go the Ultimate route and make his godhood semi-ambiguous, just so the lore doesn't contradict any past stuff.
@asgardianbrony: There were pantheons before, but those have kinda cooled down now, if you know what I mean. People move from idea to idea here very quickly. I recommend staying with one character to be your main, so people know how to refer to you. People here have staggering numbers of alternate accounts, but it gets easier to remember who everyone is after about a week. There are about twenty of us active? I'm not sure, people come and go but the core lineup remains the same.
@asgardianbrony: You could, but I think it's best to make your villains other writers. Makes for a more engaging narrative that others can participate in.
@asgardianbrony: I'd recommend creating the alt and crafting a bio, first. Now, if the alt gets banned, which happens A LOT and can be unavoidable, just speak up and we'll unban it. I'd recommend posting an appearance within a location of sorts before making your own RP. Also, keep in mind that major destruction is usually frowned upon, and that you're going to have to sell everyone's characters. Invulnerability is fine, for example, but you can't win a fight just because your character would win on-paper.
@asgardianbrony: YES! Greetings new one! I shall look forward to thy activities!
@asgardianbrony: No worries, man. I'm always around if you have any questions.
@asgardianbrony: Of course brethren, the young to this digital might of the RPG must celebrate anothers coming into its glory!
