On the day of July 21, 1989, the birth of one of the most ambitious minds on Earth was being birthed into the world. Marcques,at birth, was a fighter, suffering from heart, bone and brain defects, his survival was deemed very unlikely. His mother’s alcoholic and drug addictions didn’t help with this. She has, in fact, given up on her child and was waiting for the miscarrige. However, his father Malcolm, a man who believed that the impossible was possible, continued to have faith that his son, the only child he could produce due to being sterile at a young age, was going to make it. Spending time with the now hospitalized boy for days at a time, reading to him, singing, dancing, just to see his son open his eyes.
Then that day, it happened on August 30th,1989, at 3:50 pm, it happened. Young Marcques, was deemed stable by the doctors, through a series of surgeries, and some serious battling on Marcques’s half. That day is both a vivid memory in his father’s memory.However, even after surviving his assault at birth, life as a child was hard for him. He was skinny, and much weaker than the average child. He fainted at random intervals of the day, and when left hungry, was too weak to move.
Once again, his mother, seeing her son as a failure, turned the cold shoulder on him, waiting for the day he died. His father, was a busy man, unable to be home most of the time despite wanting to be. The early days of NuGenesis were hectic, and it was one of the most controversial businesses out there. So Marcques held on to an inner strength, and followed his own footsteps.
He took up exercising at an early age, usually carrying around a 20 lb weight in his bag to become a bit stronger, however, the consequences of that began and took a toll on his back. (the weight being more than 10% of his own body weight. So he turned towards his home gym, sometimes spending up to 50 hours a week to help increase his muscle mass. On a trip to a children's hospital, the class got a first hand glimpse at the struggles of detrimentally ill children. Feeling a personal connection to those on the inside of the glass, Marcques turned towards biology,human anatomy, medicine, biochemistry, and every other science that dealt could possible cure the children, and prevent any more illnesses from being produced.However, on April 23rd (Take Your Kids To Work Day). a tragedy gave the Young Marcques insight of the dangers that roam Earth and another way for biology to provide a solution. Within the main lobby of NuGenesis, during a social party amongst the parents and their children. A mutant committed an act of terrisim. A mutant, his face hidden behind a cowl, and his breathing was heavy. The last thing the man spoke has scarred Marcques, “Hail the X gene” Immediately after, an explosion was followed, and consumed parent and child alike, NuGenesis had immediately took dozens of people to the hospital, and Marcques began his anti-mutant ideology here.
In his late teens, 12, another incident happened. His father was on a business trip to ensure that NuGenesis was going to go international. Returning from a lesson with his professional education, he witnessed a devastating act. Inside his parent’s room, he caught in the act of infidelity. His heart dropped, he wasn’t close to his mother in the first place, but any respect he had was lost. He began to doubt the value of marriage, and watched the divorve process take place. His father, winning custody of Marcques, began to spend more time with his son. Taking him on trips to expose him to the business world. In consequence, Marcques began to pick up on the shortcuts on the business worl. Eventually, he began to negotiate with his father's partners, helping pwith deals whenever he could. His confidence and ability to speak publicly lead to him being in multiple positioning o of leadership, such as school president, project leader, and was even the director of multiple volunteer groups.
The rest of his life was pretty uneventful. He graduated high school when he was 18, and was admitted to Stanford and majored in Bioengineering and minored in biochemistry. Eventually, he met a young woman named Laura, who became the love of his college life. Meeting her during the final years of his college, they decided to rush things a bit, not expecting to see the other for a long time. This led to the accidental pregnancy of Mica Nürdstrum, which resulted in a shotgun Marriage between the two. However, within this marriage, Marcques began to recognize patterns that he experienced in childhood.
(2011) Eventually after his father's retirement, Marcques rose to be head of NùGenesis, and everything was operating smoothly. Until he a group of interns nearly caused the financial crash of NüGenesis as a whole. Spending his entire savings to bring NüGenesis back on its feet, Marcques and his daughter were living under the poverty line for a couple of years. Hopping from shelter to shelter until NüGenesis fully recovered, and when it did in 2014, it grew stronger than ever after multiple biological breakthroughs were made by the company, bringing Marcques and Mica back to their wealthy status.
