Anyone else think that the Flash's rogues are underrated?

I feel that other than Zoom, pretty much all of the Flash's enemies are really underrated. Villains like Captain Cold, Trickster, and Captain Boomerang are viewed by a lot of people as being lame and weak.

Well most of them were pretty lame for a very long time, they got more cred around the time they killed a Flash.

Its all because of their gimmicky silver age appearances, back when a supervillain was a guy with gimmick.

Not really in the comic book fan world I feel they get their respect. Who cares what non fans say

Flash's Rogues are some of the best characters.

The trickster in particular is my personal favourite

I always loved how Batman and Barry Allen would argue about who had the better rogues, so yeah, I don't think people give them enough credit. I have to say, I do love how they're being written and presented in the New 52. Definitely more than just your stock villains, they have depth.

Yes they are. An animated series would help give them their due.

They tend to be underrated because they're so cartoony, but they're pretty awesome at the end of the day.

I always thought everyone liked the Rogues. They're the reason I started reading Flash comics. Geoff Johns did great work with them in his Flash run and John Ostrander made Digger (Capt. Boomerang) one of my very favorite characters in the DCU.

Which is why the would work perfectly in an animated series.

Maybe by casual comic fans, but most experienced readers know more or less that the Rogues are very dangerous villains.

no but people writing flash are. they are pretty creative in how they make them a threat

There are only a couple that are a real credible threat to any Flash. Most of them aren't and Flash has to job to make them relevant.

They are considered lame because unlike just about every other collection of villains, they have that code that forbids them from turning really nasty, therefore they aren't considered as dangerous as, say, the Bat-foes.

DC hasn't helped ofc since most of DC's villains don't seem to think very much of the Rogues either.

I think all of them are pretty cool. Now if only their costumes didn't look so damn silly....

This is true.

I can understand how any of them could be underated...

Especially considering the fact that everyone on the ol' comicvine seems to overrate the Flash.
