Like what the title states, if you were to create your first 5 GOAT in NBA history which combination would work and why? Who will be your:

Point Guard

Shooting Guard

Small Forward

Power Forward

Center

Honorable mentions would be your bench.

Mine would probably look like this:

PG - Magic Johnson

SG - Michael Jordan

SF - Lebron James

PF - Tim Duncan

C - Kareem Abdul Jabbar

PG: Magic Johnson. Allen Iverson as bench PG.

SG: Michael Jordan. Kobe Bryant as bench SG and Sixth man.

SF: Lebron James. Scottie Pippen as bench SF. Kevin Durant, and Kawhi Leonard could also make strong cases for bench SF.

PF: Karl Malone. Charles Barkley as bench PF. They could possibly be swapped though.

C: Probably Kareem Abdul Jabbar. Hakeem Olajuwon as bench C.

I'd also put Kobe Bryant as back up SG, and maybe Leonard at SF. How bout you?

Shaq is also a good pick on center, like he dominates the paint very well at his prime in LA.

I really thought about having Shaq as my backup Center, but even he’s said that Hakeem always had him beat when they played. Hakeem was the original quick and skilled type center. I love the way he completely changed the game.

We all know the usual suspects. But I would actually go with something different.

PG - Lebron James

SG - Michael Jordan

SF - Kevin Durant

PF - Kevin Garnett

C - Hakeem Olajuwon

6th Man - Kawhi Leonard

Hakeem made him look really bad though in the Finals that year tho

@king_saturn: Tho he handles the ball a lot, listing LeBron at point is not his actual position. He more handles like Grant Hill or Pippen with his role on the team, and the fact that he has slowed and probably should be considered a big forward (PF) than a PG. Would that make Kyrie the SG?

Lebron can and has played Point Forward. Lebron could be a Point if he wanted to anyways. I always thought his game was more Magic than Michael. As far as Lebron slowing, usually when people make their Top 5 List they don't think of them in their declining days. I mean when you put Michael Jordan in your Top 5 List you are not thinking about Wizards Michael Jordan are you ?

Yeah Bill Russel rivals Kareem in the Center.
