Do you take him seriously as Democratic Socialist?
Would you vote for Bernie Sanders?
@noone301994: I'm not anti-gun by any means, but what exactly is the purpose for an assault rifle except to kill people?
@jloneblackheart: Protection.
@noone301994: from... people?
Not a fan of socialism. Also, "assault rifles were built to kill people". Lol...
He seems like the most progressive president candidate. But, I'm not a fan of socialism. I probably wouldn't vote for him, based on that.
Well, if it came down to it, I'd vote for him over Trump. Not against a more fiscally moderate Democratic candidate though.
Also, I don't believe that Sanders' socialism would actually affect America that muchh, on the basis that he'd be blocked by the Republicans completely. But he seems like the kind of president that would actually fight Congress to get stuff done, rather than stay in gridlock for four years.
@jloneblackheart: Yes.
When the economy collapses and inflation on common goods rise 1000% I, and my family, would feel a lot safer against hordes of looters with an AR-15.
@noone301994: I agree. But that's still killing people. The word 'assault' kind of gives away it's purpose.
Nope. Definitely don't agree on socialism as a concept at all. His economic agenda is very self-destructive.

Agreed, he wants to make college free, he wants to raise minimum wage, etc... 'socialism' isn't a good enough reason not to vote for someone.
@goatzilla: the real colonel sanders ?
@conner_wolf: What he intends to do will cause a lot of bad before it ever reaches the "Good"
@the_new_avenger: And what exactly will he do that's so bad?
I'm honestly appalled by everyone on this thread, saying Sanders is a horrible candidate to vote for, sorry you guys can't handle change and progress. You have to break a few eggs to make an omelet.
@conner_wolf: The fact that you don't know what bad he would do, makes me scared that people like you can vote.
Free college and healthcare and that jazz means a WHOLE LOT of government spending and and a WHOLE LOT of taxes.
Also making the wage $15 as some good buy it will make it harder to keep and find a job.
@the_new_avenger: Oh I'm sorry, you don't wanna pay more taxes? Maybe spend less money on shit like... I dunno, the salaries of government officials? Maybe cut down our military budget a little bit. We spend so much money on stupid shit it's not even funny. The fact the government is too retarded to pull funds from it is the problem.
$15 an hour is what is needed to LIVE. I'm sorry, should people not be allowed to live? Yeah it has some complications, but if you think that people should suffer because you don't want things to get a little bumpy, then that just makes me believe more firmly on my stance that idiocy and lack of humanity should be a hindrance to voting.
@conner_wolf: I lived for 5 years on $7.25 yes you can live on minimum wage.
Good luck getting congress to make those cuts.
@the_new_avenger: Really? And when was this, 1980? Back when Minimum wage meant something? Minimum wage doesn't buy shit today. You can't afford food, housing, electricity, water, etc.... on a minimum wage. You know what minimum wage was made for? To be able to pay all your utilities and afford a place to live, and food. Minimum wage does not do that unless you make serious cuts to it.
@conner_wolf: Up until last year where i was living in an apartment with my bud, and able to by food and pay my bills.
If you can't live of off $300-450 a week you need to rearrange what important, instead of that game, or new phone you want save the money, instead of going out with friends save the money.
@the_new_avenger: Now see, that's you living with someone else, probably both putting effort towards bills and rent, etc...
Could you have lived in that apartment by yourself?
@conner_wolf: Yes a one room apartment.
@conner_wolf: The fact that you don't know what bad he would do, makes me scared that people like you can vote.

It's all in your personal opinion I guess. I'd rather pay higher taxes and not be in debt the next 20 years just so I can get a decent job.
@sophia89: As someone who's looked into military spending, America wastes our military money on a lot of things, for example instead of trying to innovate our current forces, we're attempting to upkeep them, which overall, is a massive waste of money because that means we keep upkeeping them and adding to them instead of getting better tanks, or planes, etc... For example our Abrams? They're out of date, but America keeps pumping out more, even when our military tells Congress we don't need more tanks, they make more tanks. That is a great way to cut military spending when the military says shit, listen to them.
No candidate is perfect either, if I ran for office I wouldn't agree with everything Sanders says, the points he makes I support most are education-based. It's a matter of, he's better than the other morons running.
Gonna be honest, I don't agree with raising pay to $15 an hour, I say $8-$9 an hour would be more reasonable, but a pay increase is still in order. I recall a similar study done with math and statistics and the like about McDonald's taking a hit from the raise in minimum wage.
http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2014/06/08/what-will-a-higher-minimum-wage-cost-you-at-mcdona.aspx
A 10% increase at most if we increased the minimum wage to $15 an hour, if it was only $8 or $9 an hour, even less.
Voting can be like choosing between which type of poison or STD you want. I'm not sure who I should vote for.
Trump of course. Make America great again!
I have a feeling that Donald Trump would deport me since I'm an "anchor baby".
