It's a regular crossbow, you have to wield it with both hands when you shoot it because it still holds a reasonable weight, it's lighter then the shotgun though. It uses arrow.

Depends on which my skill is. Sword would be more effective, can be used for range (although once only) but is more effective and durable and more easier to carry.
