@mrmonster: If you write a will, it will be executed in the event of your death. If you don't write a will and perish, the money will still be yours---if your body is recovered, the money (cash or check) will be buried or burned with you; if the body isn't recovered, a check will be written and thrown into the water to ensure "burial" at the bottom of the Falls with the corpse.

In either case, no one will be able to retrieve the money afterwards.
