Would you fight for your pride if someone much bigger than you laughing at you?
He’d be mad and start attacking you though.
@ccthor: Then you're allowed to defend yourself and that's when I start grabbing barstools.
These 3 options are a bit condescending. Any option basically makes it seem like you are coward or willing to be stupid. Where's the "turn the other cheek" option? I've gotten along just fine turning my cheek.
If I was given another choice I would pick "No, because pride creates the basis for disrespecting others, and I would rather give him some advice".
In real life if you just ignore every laugh, especially from big guys, people would consider you are a coward even you think you are not.
Imagine Steve just shut up when all these bullies happens, would you still thinks he’s brave?

Who's Steve?
Well, no, as this happens to me in about 40% of the social settings that I usually have to engage (e.g. not in the sense that there are many people much bigger than me, just a group of average people), as I'd quickly get into lots of legal trouble or worse; this is just something that you ignore, walk away from, and try every option before getting into an assault (battle); I only have a tougher choice, if I'm in a situation where I'm cornered, where the issue is recurring to specific individuals, or, in other words, bullying; at that point, I just have the wrong type of personality, but, I do follow a check list to avoid placing myself in jeopardy. However, the United States seems to be culturally geared towards taking your respect from someone.

Then you get to call self-defense.
Depends tbh, I pick a fight with bigger fellas weekly (Rugby player) an I've never shied away from a scrap but it's easier when u know u have a team of big fellas or a group of hard lads next to you. Never had to pick a scrap on me bill before but I'm not stupid enough to have it out with a lad twice me size when I haven't got anyone backing me, so I guess... no
It's never happened and I wouldn't do anything if it did. It's silly to put your wellbeing in danger just because some random dude eggs you on.
None of your options. I wouldn't fight him because I don't want to get into a fight... it's not about cowardice, I just have more restraint than to fight someone over them just laughing. I don't care if someone laughs at me, certainly not enough to initiate a fight over.
These poll options are quite revealing of your character.
I personally try to turn the other cheek when it's only about me. However, if you mess with somebody I care about then your screwed.
No,why would my pride get hurt if some big guy is laughing at me?I would just let him laugh probably join him if there is something funny.
Man this world is going towards world war 3.
P.s. I selected yes because I wanted to vote something.
Depends on what he's laughing at. An overwhelming majority of the time, the answer would be no. At least not physically. I might trash him verbally.
When Steve laughed at me I just went mental, first I climbed up onto his shoulders and I pulled out all of his hair, it was a long way to get up there I tell you. When he tried to grab me I just barely managed to tie some of his fingers together so that his hands looked like shoelace bows.
Then I climbed down and pulled his pants down along the way. I pulled out my trusty zippo lighter and proceeded to burn off all his bum hair. That's when he farted and the burning gas hit me in my face and took out my eyebrows and my beautiful lashes.
I was very angry at Steve for that. I guess I probably shouldn't have told him that joke to begin with.
honestly if he is just laughing i see nothing wrong i might even laugh with him to make him feel stupid
