Worst Place To Live In The World

Afghanistan, Darfur, The US, Neverland Ranch, Il Vaticano, China, Iraq, Somalia, Cincinnati, The Moon, Mars, the sun.

I'd personally like to avoid the middle east at all costs. Same for much of Africa and parts of South America.

Here you live trapped in the middle of the oceans at an island you can go around in one day! Summer is ruined because its hurricane season, tremors everyday in different parts of the  island, treats of a possible tsunami wiping out the whole island
 
You don't know how good you got it.. 
 
 At least in a big country you have somewhere to go and many ways to reach your destination: Plane, train cross country road trip, public transportation, etc..  Here sure there is transportation but literally they are going in circles around the 100 x 35 island... Laaaame.. 
 
Plus there is a high chance you'll get shot..

LOL I know about Mosquitoes. I have been to rural Minnesota quite often.  There are also these leeches in all of those lakes, and there are insects called Mud Daubers (Ever hear of them?).   Yeah. Most of the Midwest has this buggy, sticky, humid and hot summer trend.  High taxes? You should come to Connecticut or New York. I am sure that it doesn't compare to what it is like here. Obnoxious people? Really? The people that I have met were quite nice and down-to-Earth.  Are you talking about the areas around St. Paul or St. Cloud? I have been to these areas.  "

Not to generalize, but are these young or old people that you are talking about? Just curious.  Also, it may be the difference between suburban/rural vs. urban lifestyle.  You know, now that I think of it, I agree with you to a certain extent.  I have met some people from the city, and they appear to be somewhat rude and arrogant in a sense. It is hard to explain.  That was only the young people though. The old people, generally speaking, have treated me well. "

Hmm...well, I don't travel much, but the worst place I've certainly ever lived was Erie, PA. It's neither the most impoverished or most crime-ridden blotch of civilization in the Continental US, but just the sheer sense of apathy that seems to pervade it can truly grate on your soul. Spend any amount of time there, and you get the definite impression that most people are either desperate to leave, or have given up on life and are just waiting for a visit from the Reaper. It's depressing, is what I'm saying...

I can give you a lot of reasons. But the main reason is that this is a dirty city, filled with smog, where people have a hard time trying to make a living. Today I went on a trip with a friend of mine and I saw over 70 people living in the streets. After I got home I felt depressed when I remembered a little girl with her sister playing around a plaza outside a church with no shoes on and with tattered clothes.   That's the hard truth about Manila. A lot of the photos show the Manila skyline but on the ground level it's a whole different story. "
