Worst Place To Live In The World
" @CrimsonAvenger said:I'm actually more offended he mentioned Mars. I'd love to live on Mars" Afghanistan, Darfur, The US, Neverland Ranch, Il Vaticano, China, Iraq, Somalia. "What???? "
Mosquitoes, frigid cold in the winter, ridiculously hot and humid in the summer, high taxes, obnoxious people, and a lot of people on Welfare.
@Full_Spectrum said:LOL What is wrong with Minnesota? Mosquitoes? "" currently? libya. in general? somalia, north korea, and minnesota among others. "
New York can be a lot of fun
I'd say Puerto Rico
Here you live trapped in the middle of the oceans at an island you can go around in one day! Summer is ruined because its hurricane season, tremors everyday in different parts of the island, treats of a possible tsunami wiping out the whole island
You don't know how good you got it..
At least in a big country you have somewhere to go and many ways to reach your destination: Plane, train cross country road trip, public transportation, etc.. Here sure there is transportation but literally they are going in circles around the 100 x 35 island... Laaaame..
Plus there is a high chance you'll get shot..
" @Band Lone: How is Arecibo or San Juan? I have never been to Puerto Rico. So I am just curious. "San Juan is BEAUTIFUL. Luckily the girl I was seeing at time was from there, so she was able to take me all over the place, and made sure it wasn't too touristy (other than the Bicardi factory, which was kinda cool). There was the island called Giligan's, it was f*cking awesome. A huge river ran through it, and you could just swim all the through like a lazy river with no tube or anything, so so so relaxing
If they catch you then you can walk to the beach area and watch the tourist taking their tops off like they're on some nudist beach... I really enjoy when they do that ;)
Other than that Boring!
Oh and another thing that is fun is Mother nature playing with the remote control XD
It's sunny, then it rains now then two minutes later the sun comes out again
Is funny because all the white wannabe Ricans start running away trying to cover their fake hair due XD
Pour water on them their hair becomes nappy lol
" @Green Skin said:oh the joys of living in so-cal. no leeches. winter low of 35, summer high of 100 (offset by our 0% humidity). and mosquitoes are practically and endangered species here." Mosquitoes, frigid cold in the winter, ridiculously hot and humid in the summer, high taxes, obnoxious people, and a lot of people on Welfare. "LOL I know about Mosquitoes. I have been to rural Minnesota quite often. There are also these leeches in all of those lakes, and there are insects called Mud Daubers (Ever hear of them?). Yeah. Most of the Midwest has this buggy, sticky, humid and hot summer trend. High taxes? You should come to Connecticut or New York. I am sure that it doesn't compare to what it is like here. Obnoxious people? Really? The people that I have met were quite nice and down-to-Earth. Are you talking about the areas around St. Paul or St. Cloud? I have been to these areas. "
" @Full_Spectrum: Very true, but don't go out into the desert. Scorpions will get you out there. LOL I love Californian heat though. "I've never actually seen a scorpion. plenty of rattlesnakes though. nah, the thing that kills you where i live is the air quality. mmm, breathe in that toxic air...
" @Green Skin said:Don't get me wrong, a lot of people here are nice, but a lot of them are just obnoxious freaks. When I used to work retail here I would encounter them on a daily basis. It's almost always the younger folks. The old people here are generally very nice.

"Not to generalize, but are these young or old people that you are talking about? Just curious. Also, it may be the difference between suburban/rural vs. urban lifestyle. You know, now that I think of it, I agree with you to a certain extent. I have met some people from the city, and they appear to be somewhat rude and arrogant in a sense. It is hard to explain. That was only the young people though. The old people, generally speaking, have treated me well. "

Hmm...well, I don't travel much, but the worst place I've certainly ever lived was Erie, PA. It's neither the most impoverished or most crime-ridden blotch of civilization in the Continental US, but just the sheer sense of apathy that seems to pervade it can truly grate on your soul. Spend any amount of time there, and you get the definite impression that most people are either desperate to leave, or have given up on life and are just waiting for a visit from the Reaper. It's depressing, is what I'm saying...
Antarctica.
It's cold, and it would be awfully lonely, seeing as there are only a small amount of non-permanent residents there.
But it sure is pretty.

Awful or Evil
" @TheGoldenOne said:sad but true.. Manila's streets are crowded.. with many people living in the streets.. the scenery is very opposite to that of the metropolitan and high end styles of Makati where the area is filled with tall building and fancy hotels.. but what i personally love about Manila is the history of the city.. especially that of Intramuros.. how i wish i could see Manila at it was once during the opulent eras of the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries.. i would love to walk down those old streets of the distant past.." @TheSheepHerder said:I can give you a lot of reasons. But the main reason is that this is a dirty city, filled with smog, where people have a hard time trying to make a living. Today I went on a trip with a friend of mine and I saw over 70 people living in the streets. After I got home I felt depressed when I remembered a little girl with her sister playing around a plaza outside a church with no shoes on and with tattered clothes. That's the hard truth about Manila. A lot of the photos show the Manila skyline but on the ground level it's a whole different story. "" From my experience, Manila should be added to the list of the worst places to live in. "Why? "
