I think for this thread it depends. Just like some people rather have their arms lopped of instead of their legs, and vice versa, living in a place where you might have a higher chance of dying from disease and starvation might not sound as bad as being brutally murdered alongside members of your family a few years after when you would have died naturally. Sometimes ignorance is bliss as well. Hard to think you have things as hard as they are if you lack news and education. Then pollution and toxins. Maybe Dzerzinsk?
Oh, and of course the ability to live a place must count as well. Would be extra bad to live in a bad place you can't escape from.

Why? "
I can give you a lot of reasons. But the main reason is that this is a dirty city, filled with smog, where people have a hard time trying to make a living. Today I went on a trip with a friend of mine and I saw over 70 people living in the streets. After I got home I felt depressed when I remembered a little girl with her sister playing around a plaza outside a church with no shoes on and with tattered clothes.
That's the hard truth about Manila. A lot of the photos show the Manila skyline but on the ground level it's a whole different story.
If were talking about places that are technologically efficient, then I'm saying L.A. Anywhere along, between, or near Crenshaw stretching out past Compton, maybe further.

But its so much worse here. And I've lived in Philadelphia, New York, and New Jersey. This is easily the worst. Perfect example is the fact NO ONE uses their blinkers. I know PA is bad, but literally NO ONE uses them here. Which is a great representation of how selfish people are here, because they really don't give a sh*t if they're in your way or being extremely rude
it smells, is never clean, clothes are all over the place, good luck finding anything, you have no shot at getting a woman in there, it's cold, it's over the garage, and it's kinda small

ugh I try to avoid downtown AT ALL costs. Place is a nightmare to drive through at anytime during the day. People are also just awful, everyone pretends to be "green" and "progressive" yet no one understands how recycling works and constantly toss things out of their windows. Its disgusting to say the least

I want to visit the Bay area (San Francisco), I've only been there a couple of times when I was younger, and have only heard good things from there. I also miss the "city environment", all this driving and car battling is turning me crazy

Worst developed place to live in the world would be England. Such a small country will sooo many pisssed off people. As for undeveloped places... I wouldn't want to live in any of them.

@mikethekiller: i actually liked downtown, sure it's got it's share of homeless folk. but it's the same with any big city in CA. also, don't forget they have a superb public transportation system (unlike any other i had ever seen), a higher minimum wage then required, city wide health care and it's illegal to not recycle.

Haha I mean I know I'm bitching about LA and I hear New York, but realistically, I can think of plenty of awful places in Eastern Europe and Africa that are infinitely worse than anything in the states.
