Personally, I don't care what the reason is, I don't want women to "loo" in me.
Women what do you loo for in men

Yeah... but... you don't have to call a man short(like you did in your previous post) just because he's not tall. It's not either or.
There's an "average" in between. ('-' )

Which is totally besides the point I was making, which was that women don't get turned on by inches...
...but rather I.Q. points.

I realize that; I wasn't addressing your point - I was nitpicking at your belief that 5'8 is short. ;)
But, to address your point: If you had a choose between a 5'8 genius or a 6'2 genius, all things being equal, would you choose the 5'8 genius? And, if you would choose the 5'8 genius, do you honestly think most women would make the same choice?
All other things being equal of course. Intellect, personality, ect.

They don't really get a chance to judge...If you're whipping it out in the middle of a nightclub then the likelihood is you're going to jail not the bedroom.

Too-shay. Too-shay.
I am apparently sexist for saying that men shouldn't live in fear of their significant others, so you are in good company...well, you are in my company anyway.

Being a Logical Positivist and NOT an Existentialist, I'd choose the smaller genius...and here is why...
Let's say I'm driving along and my genius is in the passenger seat. Suddenly, I have a heart attack, my genius takes control of the steering wheel, and pulls us over.
Would I rather have the larger genius rush me to the hospital, while he fumbles around adjusting the mirrors? Or have the smaller genius perform that duty...not having to adjust ANYTHING! :D

Not sure how those unknown philosophy terms you threw out has to do with that, though.

If defense of the large and tallish, is small and quick really something you want?
Food for thought.

Definitely!!!
I'm not as young as I used to be...

LOL. Now -- that is thinking intelligently!! Well done Roxanne. For me, a tall guy (meaning near 6 feet and over) is a bit of a turn off. It would make things a little too difficult because of my own height maybe? I see it as physically imposing rather than physically attractive -- but that's me.
How tall are you?

Okay, still not sure what those philosophy terms have to do with your car example.
I assumed you were joking, but regardless throwing those terms out there as a label with no context makes you look pretentious.
@lykopis said:
@Jezer - I consider 5'8 plus average as well. From 5'7 on actually but if you are in an environment where most of the men are tall (6 foot plus), than I can see how someone of that size would consider themselves small. Short to me is like 5'6 and under.
I agree. Strangely, one of my friends told me/sweared to me that I look 6 foot tall. I wonder if its because she's like 5'2? I'm 5'9.5.(5.10.5 in shoes)
I wonder how a person's own height influences there perceptions of others.
Another strange thing to me is that I view people as taller than they are. Like, I view someone my height as taller than me until I actually get like within 3 inches close to them.

Well, as my dad used to say, anything worth doing is worth doing right. Slow and steady wins the race. A penny saved is a penny earned. Measure twice, cut once...
What were we talking about again?

Just because something is done quickly doesn't mean it isn't done well.
I'm old, fer cryin' out loud!!!
If you can't service me well and do it quickly...I'll find someone who can!

5'3, but 5'8 when en pointe, lol. I'm a short shorty. ;p
Okay. 5'8" on your tip toes? LOL. Interesting.
But, seriously, what's difficult about being with a guy that's 6'?
@lykopis said:
First off, I would feel even more shorter because of the difference in size - secondly, just holding hands and walking would be a problem and thirdly, slow-dancing would look and feel ridiculous. Granted, I could wear heels to try and make up the difference but that won't help me on the beach as we walk along the shore. And it would relegate me to "cute" instead of "hot", lol. Picture it - he could lean on my head practically.
Hmmm.... Come to think of it, I've never been with a woman that tall. So, I can't imagine the difficulty there. LOL.
I've seen some hot women that were your height. Real talk.
@lykopis:
Have you checked out the new Flaming Carrot website yet, Lyko?

Real talk? Real talk...what?
I've seen posts from you before, Static Shock, and now I see you are a mod.
I always assumed from your vocabulary that you were eight or nine years old. Is there no age requirements for mods here? I'm serious.

Real talk meaning 'seriously, honestly, truthfully'.
Anyway, what have I said in the past that would make you think that I'm as young as you thought? O_o

Eh, I'm moderately unimpressed.
In my mind, I just got the sudden image of those tv episodes where the plot is about an old guy(usually) who tells stories claiming to have been someone famous, or a star, back in the day in order to seek attention. But the grandkids he's telling it to are moderately ambivalent - not to mention skeptical - and ultimately roll their eyes while fighting back a yawn because they are...
moderately unimpressed.
@lykopis said:
I will assume you are tall then because of your response. There were never any issues because of the difference in height? Even from behind, people could mistake the girl for a child when standing beside someone so tall. I have dated tall men and never felt comfortable standing beside them but many of my girlfriends prefer tall men so I am pretty sure I am in the minority here in my preference.
More common than not, short girls are regarded as cute but its great you see it differently. To be fair, when a short girl is all decked out with 5 inch heels, then being thought of as "hot" could be possible. Another problem with being short is the appearance of looking younger than you really are.
I feel compelled to wear make-up just to make me look older.
I'm a 6-footer, so I'm not too tall and not too short. Some say I'm 6'1" but I don't think I'm quite there. The shortest woman I've dated was between 5'4" and 5'5", while the tallest was about 5'7". So, I've never had any issues. I generally assumed that most women wanted a man that was around my height. I somewhat agree with you on the cute girl thing, even though there are some that were exceptional.
Nothing is better than natural beauty, though.

I really don't see that... Or how cute is opposed to hot...
Whaaa-? Since when were short girls only able to be cute and not hot? This is news to me. o.O
@lykopis said:
For some reason tall guys in my social circle get a kick out of treating me like some kind of cute doll because of my size. I'm not complaining, cute is great but I can be a bit insecure about my height (which would explain my slight obsession with heeled shoes).
It's just my take on how I feel when paired up with a particularly tall man. I just feel like the size of a child, lol.
But yes, short girls can be considered hot, absolutely. I meant more how I feel when with a tall man - if I feel like I look like a child when next to him, giving off that "hot" vibe can be a little difficult.
...I understand. I like "tall" girls (tall being relative, because I'm not that tall myself) but never found such a problem or notion either way...
Confident, smart, takes me seriously but doesn't mind my dirty jokes, just really someone who I can be myself around him.
