Why is LA so rude nowadays?

I dunno you know. I feel (like NY) if you get someone to slow down and take the time they're really nice people but everyone's living in their own world and each at a different pace than the other - but all equally rushed. Then again you Americans do like talking to us Brits so maybe that's why I didn't get that impression.
