I really can't understand how so many people can find men running around trying to get a ball into a net, so entertaining that these football and basketball players get paid 100,000s to millions of dollars.
Why do people like sports
watching sport is the most boring thing tbh.
doing sport is ok.
its worse than those ppl who watch walkthrough of a videogame.

It's a fun thing to do. Are you athletic at all ?
@kgb725: I ment watching not playing. I know why people like to play sports because it's fun, but I don't know the appeal of watching them. No I'm not very athletic.
I like playing sports because they make me less lazier and make my mind work harder so that I do the actions needed (e.g. hand eye co-ordination in tennis and swinging the racket).
About the topic of watching sports, I don't like watching Television tbh so I don't really like watching sports.
The NFL is the best reality TV, on TV.
@mr_shazam0920: what do you mean I answered my own opinion
Being from Scotland as a guy growing up football is life here it’s what you do on the streets it’s what we talk about at work and so on it’s brilliant.
I am personally a Basketball and American Football fan.
When it comes to basketball the moves and acrobatics some of these players pull of is just amazing. On top of the obstacles they have to score. If you ever played basketball you would understand how hard it is to not only maintain a dribble, but keep people from stealing it, shaking people off of you to get passed them, and having the body awareness not to accidentally bounce it off your foot. Not to mention the accuracy to make shots 15-30 feet away from the basket. Kyrie Irving, Kobe, and Michael Jordan highlights will pretty much make anyone interested in the sport.

Competition is exciting as the outcome is unknown. It’s a microcosm for life itself; the classic thrill of victory and agony of defeat.

I watch stuff like boxing and MMA because I practice stuff like that myself. As for others it's just a fun thing to do with friends, at least in American Football's case. Some sports I don't watch but like to play, basketball for example. So for me it depends on the sport in question.
Because sports are about excellence, who is the strongest, fastest, most skilled. and you can't fake it(for long) you either have the ability and can consistently achieve results or you can't.
another reason is many sports have a sense of nostalgia and legacy, there are always past records to be broken and generational rivalry. so in that way it's similar to every other form of entertainment.
Not everyone has an opportunity to play sports, and that's why I think there's nothing wrong with watching sports. Some people even place bets, and it can only boost adrenalin.
Running around with your homies playing football for 2 hours on a 5x5 you rented is the most fun you can have
as far as watching goes, i personally find it to be boring 90% of the time, but it can be fun if you go to a bar with your bros and watch a big game or whatever like that.
Also watching the Olympics is super fun.
my opinion = fax
ur opinion = creditless
@wilkiins17: I was just about to rip you a new one for your perceived blatant morbid obesity, then i read the rest of your comment. I understand the sentiment.
