What is your justification for continuing to use animal products?
Why aren't you vegan?
@indomitableregal: Why did you go veg? Vegan isn't expensive at all.
@petey_is_spidey: Why do you think that?
@petey_is_spidey: Why do you think that?
No meat.
I don't drink or eat red meat for sanity and health reasons, but I see no reason to be vegan. I tried being vegetarian for a couple months and it was just a pointless expensive pain. I didn't care enough to inconvenience my and the lives of people around me for something I couldn't even give a good reason to why I was doing it.
Yes I like animals, but I'm also an animal and like many animals I eat other animals for sustenance. Yes the conditions they are kept in are horrible usually. Do most know any better, probably. Am I going to get upset over their plight while ignoring human beings who live in similar situations, no.
The world is full of pain, suffering and death followed by an empty void of non-existence. When millions die from hunger, war and disease every year and billions still don't have basic human rights, I'm not going to get upset because a chicken doesn't have a ton of room to stretch their wings before they are eaten.
Vegans are food and consuming mear doesn't need justification. By our nature we are omnivores. So it's illogical to restrict access of useful elements to organism that needs both animal and plant food unless some defect of organism demands such restriction.
.... what?
@petey_is_spidey: There are plenty of vegan meat substitutes that taste identical to meat. There's also supermeat. Being vegan feels a hell of a lot better than eating meat, trust me.
@indomitableregal: A vegan diet is whatever a vegetarian eats minus the dairy. How is that more expensive?
@indomitableregal: Why did you go veg? Vegan isn't expensive at all.
I was always...selective about what I ate. Saw Super Size Me when I was younger and stopped eating fast food altogether. Did some research into the food industry, and just decided to stop eating meat altogether.

And eggs, which is still in a lot of "Vegetarian-friendly" products. And depending on how far you want to take, any animal byproducts whatsoever would have to be removed.

Eh, I don't really care to try them. Often times they're more expensive, and those "vegan substitutes" you speak of often times don't taste nearly as good as the real thing. For me at least, there's little-to-no gain in going Vegan.
Because i was born with K-9 teeth for a reason. Meat is an essential part of human's protein intake. Hell, my grandma lived to be 98 and she ate bacon damn near everyday so all those lies about meat, and esspecially pork being bad for you is a bold face lie.
@Opalance: According to the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, the amount of grain fed to livestock in the U.S. every year could feed about 840 million people, roughly eleven times the number of people who annually die of starvation worldwide. If you really cared, you'd go vegan.
@sophia89: Love animals?! I detest them. That's why me and my vegetarian nation are eating their food, so that they might slowly die of deprivation...that was dark lol.
@indomitableregal: Yes, but how does that make a vegan diet more expensive?
I don't eat anything with a shadow.
So you starve yourself? What do you do, just drink water?
Anyone who unironically refers to themselves as a "real man" is probably a complete pussy. Just sayin'.
@hyperion_x: Yeah, you were born with canines. That doesn't mean they're for eating meat. If meat was needed to survive I wouldnt be alive right now, nor would the 2.5 million other vegans. That's a nice anecdotal claim you have there. My grandfather lived to 104, and he was vegan, so vegans are healthier, right?
@sprior93: I haven't drank milk since I was a kid (soy milk, and then eventually almond milk), but I still enjoy milk products like cheese, ice cream, and chocolate. That's where the problem is. It's not just cutting out dairy products, meat products, products with eggs, etc. It's replacing/substituting them, and that gets expensive.
@petey_is_spidey: That's all that matters to you? Personal gain? Different strokes, I guess.
@the_batmobile: So what are you going try to convince people to turn Vegan? I'm not Vegan because I love meat
@leo-343: Yep, I am preaching. Preaching about something that matters to me, and something I think is morally wrong. I don't see what's wrong with that.
@sprior93: Couldn't find your thread. Are you vegan?
@emperorthanos: Sure, if I can. If not, that's fine too. Just a subject that I think should be discussed.
@indomitableregal: That's fine. I'm not telling you to go vegan. I just disagree that the diet is expensive. You don't need to substitute for meat/dairy. The only thing vegans need watch out for is B12, which you can easily get in nutritional yeast and most breakfast cereals.
@sophia89: Love animals?! I detest them.
Humans are animals.
Therefore if you detest animals then you detest yourself.

As a complete pussy, I find that word offensive!
I don't eat anything with a shadow.

Ever seen the movie Hook?
