What actress wild you choose ?
Who should play Powergirl in the DCEU ?
@super_ninja: She could play a decent supergirl but power girl needs a rack.
@the_stegman: i agree with your pick and i like your choice for PG too.
Idris Elba......
I find it hard to disagree with this.
@super_ninja: Hell no to both. Anya looks like a 14 year old and Mary although I like her won't look good as Powergirl at all.
Gemma Atkinson
Perfect
Idris Elba......

Indeed :)
This! ^^
I never realized until this thread how much I wanted a Power-Girl movie starring Idris Elba.
People won't be complaining about a murderous Batman and a gloomy Superman once Powergirl's a black dude. Plus, has Elba ever had a bad role?
@dernman: Power Girl is from an alternate universe so that wouldn't apply to her.

He was really bad in the last Star Trek film

I see no reason why it wouldn't. Unless it takes place in that other universe it still has the same affect.
May not be a good actress, but she definitely has the body for it.
You think Sara Jean Underwood would be interested? Doesn't matter if she can't act in DCEU does it, she'll fit right in.
@super_ninja: Anya's my first choice to play Raven.
In an age when the easily offended can all but destroy an entry in a previously-acclaimed Netflix universe, Power Girl is unlikely to grace our screens unless drastically altered.
But yeah if puppies is what's important I'm sure they can find someone easily.
@dernman: Two different universes and backgrounds. Power Girl isn't a Prime Earth/Main Universe Kryptonian. Superman's backstory has no effect on her. Batman's parents doesn't die in an alternate universe therefore it wouldn't have a effect.

Of little matter. Not only is she still Kryptonian even if from a different planet. Made worse still she's related to a Superman from that universe making her family once removed in a way. THat's gives him a sense of home and not being the only one. Certainly not unique. It undermines the concept.
Not to mention undermines Wonder Woman's potion of being the top female in the DCEU. Unless female Kryptonians are not as powerful as the make counterparts she'd be superior to WW.
@dernman: I am pretty sure that's the point of an alternate universe. Power Girl was raised by Earth-2 Superman and it was acknowledged that they were the only two survivors of their world. Which is a lot different from the original concept. Superman was "believed" to be the only survivor of Krypton until Supergirl and these other Kryptonians popped up out of nowhere.
Wonder Woman is the top female based on what? Because she's the most popular? Supergirl was actually far more powerful than Wonder Woman and even Superman himself during the Pre-Crisis timeline. She only became weaker after she was retconned.

Yes to be an alternate version of something. Yet it's still just a version of something regardless of being alternate. She's still Kryptonian, she's still of the house of El and all the powers that come with it. Which undermins him being the last survivor concept. Yes those new characters undermine the concept, something they shouldn't have ruined. THough poorly done it one writer did try to correct that mistake. Either way they shouldn't and don't have to follow the same mistake with the DCEU,
Wonder Woman has always meant to be the top Female and Superman the top period. Arguing that it's not is ridiculous.
@lordwhiskers: I approve :)
A blonde woman with short hair and big boobs should play Power Girl in the DCEU...sorry woke brigade, but if you want Power Girl to be accurate to the comics then she needs big boobs. And no, do not assume that I only want a Power Girl with big boobs in the DCEU for my own gratification...because that is not true lol. I neither like the MCU nor the DCEU so my comment is just an argument for comic book accuracy. Sorry but Gal Gadot looked stick thin to play Wonder Woman...Lynda Carter looked more like Wonder Woman.
As long as she can act well and has the signature PG chest size, I'd be fine with any actress.
Well said
To the people who think Gemma Atkinson would be a suitable actress, she is English so she would need to put on a fake american accent and I don't know whether she will be a good enough actress because her main way to fame was as a soap opera actress in Hollyoaks. I know about her because I myself am from England. She is a hard worker and maybe she would be a good candidate but I'm not sure...she doesn't seem like the type of person who really cares about comic book characters and portraying them well.
I see teddies and I am proud.
So you must be Mr. Bean.
