Just going to say it Kendrick Lamar.
He would clown any other artist in a beef, lyrics reflect NWA and what 2pac rapped about, he actually raps about things that are meaningful, every time he drops and album it rates higher than his last.

Lyrically, the best MC for me is K-Rino.

[Verse 2 from "I'm a Problem"]
Problems I'm solving them, I'll ruin you and make you wish your world ends
I'll show up at your date and beet you down in front of your girlfriend
I build my rap, spin moves, then side step
I work my pen out so much that it's looks just like a bodybuilder's bicep
But enough of jokes, I'm sending your whole form up in a puff of smoke
I'll amputate your limbs then I reconnect them to other folks
You was grinning, swearing you would win
Until you felt the right hook come tearing through your chin
The punishment then etched in, never would it end
Got a pen that's deadlier than a heroin syringe
I'm a rap pro, O.G., macro, blast those that don't know me
Coming in the back door slowly, my goal is to jack your soldiers, smash on a rapper like afro Kobe (and this before the legend died)
See, I get trapped inside a time warp every now and then
For the first 11 days of 2016 I was 10
See, I'm the one that threw the bomb that landed on your flesh
No need for a uniform, my team name's branded on my chest
I'm in my power stance, damaging cowards men
My click is like a clock 'cause if you diss us, in a minute you gon' see our hands
[Verse 3 from "I'm a Problem"]
I hold the mantel and stand in preparation for the grand battle
I can travel unnoticed camouflaged inside of an ant's shadow
The sacred robe of unjaded greatness I'm draped with
I shake pits and wears snakes on my wrists like bracelets
I straight rip until I make the lithospheric plate shift
Decapitate you just to save your paper on your facelift
I'm down for the cash, astounding and rash
Give you a tattoo with a needle that I found in the trash
Now I'm getting real hungry, time for breakfast, man
Everything in front of me is swept in flames
Vocabulary range insane, I'm about to replace Webster's name
See, when the track's too rough to wreck on
I'll connect two stones to some lead prongs and wear them instead of headphones
The profit gainer, a bottle rocket flamer, cock and aim at a gossip bringer
Hanging in a locked container, sparring with a robot boxing trainer
The day I lose to rap buffoons
The sun will shine bright at midnight and be followed by a pitch black afternoon
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And of course, Rakim. I just need to put 1 verse...
[Verse from "The 18th Letter]
Just when things seemed the same and the whole scene is lame
I come and reign with the unexplained for the brains 'till things change
They strain to slang sling, I'm trained to bring game
History that I arranged been regained by King James
Go to practice with tactics, when the track hits theatrics
Women that look like actress the status of Cleopatra's
Stacks of mathematics to feed yo' asiatics
As I find out, what the facts is for geographic
No time to sip Moet with hostess, never mind what the total gross is
I rip shows, stay focused, and split cheese with soldiers
While you hit trees and coast, I spit flows that be ferocious
And with these explosives, I split seas for Moses
Shine permanently, only my mind's concerning me
Fire burns in me eternally, time's eternity
Followers turn on me, they'll be in a mental infirmary
Determinedly advanced technology better than Germany
Since the first days you know of, 'till the last days is over
I was always the flow-er, I made waves for Noah
From a compound, to the anatomy, to the breakdown of a atom
Some of my rap patterns, still surround Saturn
From the ancient hieroglyphics, to graffiti painted pictures
I study, I know the scriptures, but nowadays ain't it vicious
Date back, I go beyond, check the holy Qu'ran
To speeches at the Audobon, now we get our party on
So being beneficent, I bless 'em with dialogue
They expecting, the next testament by the God
I blow 'em through battlezones with chrome for chaperone
Blast beats with saxophones, one of the baddest rapper's known
Every country city and borough, side street and ghett, isle and alley and meadow
Theories thorough enough to echo
When it was one mass of land, with one nash' of man
And the whole mass was ran under one master plan
Since the world's metamorphosis, and the plan is kept in orbit
Turntables we spin awkward, but the needles never skip off it
Rhythms, we expressing similar to our ancestors
It'll answer your questions if you understand the message
From the days of the slave choppers to the new age of prophets
As heavy as hip-hop is, I'm always ready to drop it
From the mind which is one of Allah's best designs
And mines'll stand the test of time, when I rhyme
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
''Not positive, who's the best? Pac, Nas and Big
Ain't no best, East, West, North, South, flossed out, greedy
I embrace y'all with napalm'' - Nas, Ether
Eminem. It's been well over two decades and he's still relevant while consistently dropping quality projects.
@king_majestros: Go watch Anthony Fantanos video on the subject, he destroys your point.
Anyways MF Doom...
I can tell you one thing. It's not Eminem. The man would tell you that himself.
I'll go with Jay Z for skill, content and overall body of work. It's the obvious choice, but it's the right choice.
@kingofwakanda: Just because he says he isn't doesn't mean much, If I make a movie that is praised as the best film of all time, and I come out and say that this film is better than mine, that doesn't automatically disqualify me from the talk.
@joker567892: I get that Em is being humble. It just also happens to be true in this case. He can still rap his ass off. He definitely is in the conversation, I just don't think he's done enough to be the best ever. Not consistent enough. Too many albums and songs not worth revisiting. Can still put out verses and bars with anyone to this day though.
Eminem. It's been well over two decades and he's still relevant while consistently dropping quality projects.
@joker567892: No he doesn't. Hahaha.
@king_majestros: Yes he does, the whole "Rap isn't music" thing was from Ben Shapiro and he destroys that entire pint.
I'm not gonna continue to argue though.
@joker567892: He actually doesn't, and Ben's pretty cool. Don't argue, then. :)
@king_majestros: Not arguing, but straight facts Rap is music...
@joker567892: Says you. Straight facts, rap isn't music...
@king_majestros: Okay, let's get this out the way, multiple music professors people have spoken to believe that rap is music.
The only people who don't believe so are people like you, which isn't a issue, but just because you don't like it doesn't mean it isn't music.

Multiple music professors can speak about anything they want, but it doesn't make what they say fact. They are simply people who have gone to college, became a teacher, and had an opinion on a subject.
It's not a matter of belief, it's a matter of subjectivity and interpretation. I don't consider rap music, but that is based on my own opinion; thus, rap isn't music. You like and therefore think rap is music, that's great. Other people don't have to agree with you; what you say doesn't make it so.
@king_majestros: Which again is fine, I don't agree with your opinion though, that's why I don't feel like arguing it is a matter of opinion.

Exactly. No harm done.
NAS, Eminem, Jay-Z are my favourites
The best has to be Notorious B.I.G tho, his lyricism and song are on a whole different level.
@seastone98: Bollocks. Phat Phinger Phlex is awesome.
@king_majestros: no way, if u want true lyricism look up viper "y'all cowards don't even smoke crack"
I don’t have an honest opinion (not listened to enough) but I seriously don’t understand how anyone can think Eminem isn’t a serious contender. He obviously doesn’t have the best messages, but his skill is insane.
Honestly, as much as I like him, Eminem kinda fell off.
My picks would have to be:
Modern-Denzel Curry or Kendrick Lamar
90's- Biggie or GZA
80's- Chuck D
Underground- MF DOOM
Modern: Kendrick drake j Cole Griselda
2000s: Eminem Lil Wayne jay z nas Andre 3000
90s: PAC BIG Ice Cube
80s: LL Cool J
Hmmmm... More Updated Thoughts.
1980's : Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, LL Cool J, Slick Rick, Chuck D, KRS One, Heavy D
1990's : Nas, 2Pac, Notorious BIG, Jay-Z, Scarface, Busta Rhymes, Common, Big L
2000's : Eminem, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Lupe Fiasco, Nas, Jay-Z
Krispy Kreme.
Yep. The best of all time.
Biggie. Followed by (in no particular order other than Eminem) Em, MF Doom, mos def, Andre 3000 and Jay Z.
The reason I didn’t say Kendrick is because if he puts out another album as good as his last 3 then he could take the top spot, honestly.
