Of all characters in comics...you pick Logan and Peter? Really?

The only real answer is Dr. Doom.

I voted Wolerine. They are both good characters, but Wolverine takes the spotlight from the X-men waaaay too much. Spiderman doesn't seem to take up so much "space" when he's in a book with other characters like the Avengers, from what I've read at least.

wolverine, and all of those movies should have been called Logan's Xmen. Even first class had him thrown in and the audience claps at his one line

That's because Spider-Man has never been with teams. He's always been a solo hero, even during his initial Jack Kirby/Stan Lee days. He's been sporadically running around with the Avengers here and there ever since Brian Michael Bendis started making every popular superhero be an Avenger. If Peter had been on a team from day one, he'd be running things in terms of the attention he would receive.

Wolverines ability to take a punch is overrated

Spidermans ability to dodge is overrated

I would consider Wolverine less overrated because his powerset still allows him to take down powerful characters without as much PIS.

Of course he would. As it is though, he helps other characters get attention. Generally speaking by appearing in others books, and them appearing in his. I don't know of many characters that have done it as well as him. With that said, Logan does the same thing.

People like Spider-Man more which is why Wolverine is losing the poll.

Ask who's overrated between Goku and Wolverine and the same results will occur.

To be honest, Spider-Man is better off a solo character than in teams.

@monsterstomp: Wolverine is overrated, more so than Spider-man. He is supposedly one of the most skilled people in the comicbook universe, but wins all of his battles due to healing factor, indestructible bone structure, and indestructible claws. But he does have skill as you see when he gets up from 20 lethal attacks and proceeds to stab someone and kill them. He out skilled them sooooo bad!!!!!

This definition of overrated doesn't jive, at all. Wolverine winning battles due to his durability, skeleton, etc. It's been pointed that he's lazy since he generally doesn't run into situations wherein he needs to use the skill to win. When he's been forced to use the skill, he pretty much backs up the hype around the skill when you look at his feats of martial knowledge and such.

You really just defined lazy.

His skill isn't overrated, the frequency at which he uses it is. So what? How does that make him more overrated than the untouchable web spammer over there?
