Lead off I would bat Derek Jeter
Second I think A-Rod
In the three slot I would put Manny Ramirez
Clean up I would bat Reggie Jackson
Fifth I would put in Griffey
Sixth I'm thinking Vlad Guerrero

It was hard not to pick Jim Rice, or Yaz, or Ted Williams just because, but honestly I don't think that a lot of the old players could stand a chance against modern pitching, whether in their prime or not. Maybe they could be my 7, 8, 9.

No Rickey Henderson?

If we're just talking about hitting (You said "to bat for your team"), these are my six:

1 Mickey Mantle
2 George Brett
3 Joe DiMaggio
4 Ted Williams
5 Babe Ruth
6 Frank Robinson

If I'm actually building a team? Sub Mays for Ted Williams. Yogi for DiMaggio. Mays is a better fielder, and I can't have 5 OF's. lol
