Yep. That someone is in my immediate family and I've known her since she was born. To come out on Thanksgiving Day and say, "I haven't trusted you since my kids were born [7 years ago]." I questioned why she'd call me such a thing, and her reply was, "I don't know." It hits the feelers pretty hard, especially after I offered myself up to be her "father." I'm 35, she's 26.
