Crocodiles are living a gangster life where the top alpha earns the rights to food and the harem.

Eagles are pretty much clean living functional families (some are even faithful for life).

So I would go for the eagle.

Crocodile easily. Almost unchanged for over two hundred million years. A top apex predator in nearly every environment it can be found in all across the world. A living tank who's bone-like back scales can endure even small arms fire. Strongest bite force on the planet. Powerful night vision. Can will itself to not bleed out when injured due to its advanced circulatory system. Able to go up to three years without food before starvation begins.

They are also surprisingly intelligent. Crocodiles have been documented as watching people to learn their schedules so they can ambush them the next day. They've also been known to use tools in the form of twigs to lure birds down near their mouths.

Crocodiles are nature's most perfect fresh water ambush predator.

Plus they have a beautiful smile.

@mimisalome: I don't think that gangster lifestyle applies to crocs in Africa like Nile Crocs. Food is plentiful in Africa and crocs can survive months without food.

@mimisalome: I believe the bosses do get more bites on one prey and the subordinates get the leftovers, but there are so many wildebeests, antelopes, impalas and zebras that regularly cross the croc rivers that this is negligible.

Im not expert on crocs... (I just enjoy watching them in zoos and documentaries).

So I will take your word for it.

@mimisalome: I'm not an expert either, it's just my assumption. Food for crocs is so plentiful in The Nile that even if they have a rule of letting the boss eat first, there should still be plenty of prey for them to get themselves if the leftovers the boss leaves aren't enough.

I watched a grounded golden eagle fight off 4 pitbulls. A croc wouldn't stand a chance if it couldn't retreat but that broken winged eagle did.

Eagles have been known to knock goats off the sides of a cliff to kill them. Gotta go with the eagles.

YEESSSS!!! YES!

I was waiting for somebody to say what you just said.

Crocodile's blood is immune to all if not most viruses and diseases on earth. THERE IS NOTHING MORE DANGEROUS AND BADASS THAN A CROC !

The only thing these bastards needed to do to survive over the billions of years of evolution was shrink in size...that's it

literally the most perfect predator this planet has

Oh I believe it! Those talons are mean. Just the size difference & the grip strength of some Parrots I've had a Bald, Golden or Steller eagle has got to have some crushing grip strength.

EDIT: I just watched a video of what I think was two Black Eagles taking down a Tibetan wolf.
