Which major political party is more beneficial to USA?

After I was in America a couple of months before the COVID's severe endemic outbreak, according to my uncle in Michigan, the Americans are progressively losing more and more trust in the 2 party system, on the other hand my aunt and my cousins still think that the Republican party is still reliable.

But if I had to chose if I would be an American, the Republican party, obviously.

Other than some very minor differences, Republicans and Democrats are basically the same thing.

Definitely not the Marxists we now call democrats.

Both parties are prone to times of strength and weakness.

The Republican party, as it exists now, is terrible for the country. At this moment in history, Democrats are far better.
