Which location would you rather take a vacation in on your own, The Overlook Hotel or Hill House?

Which location would you rather take a vacation in on your own, The Overlook Hotel from Stephen King's "The Shining" or Hill House from Shirley Jackson's "The Haunting Of Hill House"?

Let's say you're unaware of the supernatural atmosphere of the locations prior to the stay and was suggested to stay in one of these locations by a friend.

With friends like that... Anyhow, I'm not familiar with the Hill House, but I'd definitely like to have a look at Overlook Hotel.

Gotta be the Overlook hotel for me.

If I know nothing of the supernatural in either location I'd probably do Hill House. Being alone in a hotel as large as The Overlook would be too creepy.

I like the architecture of Hillhouse better.

Overlook Hotel. :) There's more stuff to do there.

Hillhouse looks cooler but I'd probably want to say at the Hotel, looks bigger

@life_without_progress: Vacation on my own? As in I'm the only one going and there will be no other guests? Tbh, both seem...daunting. Maybe intimidating? Even putting aside what I know of both (because my answer would then be a hard pass), I'm not really sure how I'd handle such an overabundance of space. If the hotel is actually functioning like a normal hotel in the sense that it's occupied with other guests, then I'd choose the Overlook. Otherwise, I'd pick Hill House.

Also, what the hell kind of friend would do this to me? Lol.

@indomitableregal: Oh, you'll be alone in the Hotel but don't worry, there's apparently a couple of friendly children who want to play with people who live nearby.
